This is by far my favorite ongoing series on youtube right now. I get so hyped for each upload and rewatch them so many times. I plan on doing a tactician solo w/ mind flayer powers for each playthrough you do.

Good stuff. Im using a sword bard with arcane acuity on my honor mode run and its so good. Highly recommend picking up the band of the mystic scoundrel in early act 3 to cast hold person/monster/tasha's/hypnotic pattern for a bonus action after landing a weapon attack. Completely shuts down most fights. I also took some levels in thief rogue for the extra bonus action but it would probably still be strong without. Rhapsody dagger from Cazador is also clutch since the +3 both boosts your spells and also helps you land your flourishes to build even more acuity. Im in act 3 with 80% to hit on bosses and casting 100% success chance spells on bosses. Arcane acuity is game breakingly good!
Hey, I don't know if this is a known trick but what I usually do when trying to find invisible enemies is hold left alt and right click on the portrait of the invisible enemy in turn order screen, this pings right where they are in the game so you can just throw an object or use an AOE spell to instantly get them out of the invisibility.
I don't think I have seen many people use this, as it was something I did when testing/messing around with pinging once but now it makes an enemy chosing to be invisible completely useless, as I always know to the pixel where they are stood.
That's a huge tip, I didn't know about it, thank you!

For the myurkel fight, i found it easier to have him drop his weapon and giving haste to aylin, while simultaniously throw any potion to her from a distance

(I was the one who shouted in the chat, that it isn't concentration. Am I too proud for myself about this? I was just really excited to point out why I use it... I did not expect it to be THAT useful for the end, but if it works on myrkul... well, heck yeah!)

Some tips vs Balthazar and the gnolls.
You can open his gate during the justiciar fight and he can die in the fight since they don't target portals.
Similarly, you can pickpocket sussur flowers on him to disable his spells.
The kitchen gnolls you can befriend and they'll help you in the end
okay, i need some help guys😭
currently stuck on the ketheric/murkyl fight mainly due to the insane damage the mindflayer does to my party (i’m not very good at the battle aspect of the game yes you can laugh) and haven’t even managed to get through the first phase. can anybody lay it out to me what best items i can use to fight him (as in like weapons and shit) because i am STUPID AS HELL but desperate to finish😭
this video is actually like the best guide i’ve found cause your narration is super helpful to follow (so thanks keep it up❤️) but also any other tips is appreciated because as i said im trash at battle strategy😞

~17:32 I haven’t seen anyone mention this anywhere or seen anybody use it but if you hold alt and right click on their picture during combat it’ll ping them. You’ll always know where they are, you can use this to see who’s the real auntie Ethel as well, I’ve kept it to myself since launch but I might as well start letting people know lol

Cloak of protection may actually be a callback to the original games, the design on it is near identical.

@@the_truant To be fair, it might just be them choosing to keep the design consistent... it is still Larian's game series.
maybe cloaks of protection fell out of favor, or the secrets of making them were lost, in later years after the bhaalspawn crisis, and that's why there's only one place you can get one in BG3. They're rarer, a hundred years later.
Or MAYBE
the cloak of protection +2 was just way too powerful (there were two of those in BG1, and one wasn't NAMED that, but the cloak of protection +1 always looked the same) and Larian realized they shouldn't make such a universally useful item so available or common.

These videos are amazing! I am curious why you throw potions at your feet with an action instead of just drinking them with a bonus action though?
Throwing potions only takes one attack so it's only half an action and sometimes I wanna use my bonus action on other things
I've had a terrible time with the bard in act 1, many fights are just way too much for a low level bard with light armor and no backup. How do you survive fights like the mercenaries on the way to withers at the very beginning. Clearly I need to do more homework.
You can actually avoid fighting the bandits entirely. Provided you have thief tools and a bit of luck, you can pick the lock at the door Shadowheart can be found trying to break down and end up in the crypt.
im so curious what cut scenes you get during your long rests not having any of the companions out in field with you lol

Can someone explain how you do that obscene amount of damage with the bow? It’s not just that ability where you can take two shots in one turn, isn’t it?
Well it's that combined with strange conduit ring, caustic band, and thorn blade, keep in mind the slashing flourish also adds a bardic inspiration die as extra damage to both attacks made with it
How did you cast light on your armor?
Just put it on the ground and cast it on the item!
