- Silver Surfer meets the Impossible Man! Yes, this week, we learn all about the Impossible Man, an impish shapeshifter from the planet Popup who first appeared in the pages of the Fantastic Four. This issue, from the creative team of Jim Valentino and Ron Lim, features the Silver Surfer trying to protect Impossible Man from a fleet of angry aliens.
Each Tuesday, Flea Market Fantasy reviews a different comic book from the 1970s or 1980s, discussing the book's history, characters, and creators and breaking down the story and art. It's a humorous celebration of all things comics.
Flea Market Fantasy T-shirts are now available at merch.onenineb...

When you first introduced the impossible character, I didn't think I would like the comic. However, after I saw what they did with the character, I enjoyed it. I thought it was like a Where's Waldo puzzle. You had to figure out who the character was. That was fun. Good choice.
@@StudioGallup Do you do a lot of Where's Waldo puzzles? Because I guess in comparison to that, our show would be somewhat entertaining.
It's hard to find Where's Waldo puzzles. I pass the time between publications listening to Flea Market Fantasy😂
@@StudioGallup Would you buy a series of books based on the premise of finding Kevin Jank? But he probably wouldn't be wearing a red and white striped shirt...or pants, for that matter.
Now that you said, Silver Surfer is such an odd concept of anything, really
A bald, naked, muscular silver-skinned man surfing through the stars... There's a reason why Kirby didn't like drugs back then, he didn't need them. Wild shit.
@@matheusalves5160 Yeah, completely ridiculous concept, but...I still love him like a brother.
I'm not usually a fan of Ron Lim's art, but I gotta say he did a good job on this issue
@@jonathanleduc230 Yeah, he does a good Impossible Man. I think his stuff is best suited for aliens and space stories.
