- It took me a few days to figure out what was wrong when 'check engine' light on by searching online including VW forums and UA-cam channels. Once I figured out it was the 'Pump B' out of order then I had extremely hard time to find where it is. There was no clear information in regarding where the pump B is located. There was a hint in one of the the post in VW forum. I followed it and eventually find the the Pump. Then it took me few days and many tries to remove it. I had to make sure I can do the job before I order the part. I almost gave up doing the job myself. It is such a bad location and I consider it a bad design. Maybe the dealership have some magic to do it easier? If you have big hands and fingers, you probably do not want to try it.
感谢分享,我消码之后就没再出现,估计也有误报的可能。
Hi
Thank you so much
Could i cancel and bypass pump
Our wither so hot!!?
If it could be would you tell me how?
My regards
No, you can’t. The fault code can not be cleared if you bypass. Actually if you do not do anything, that is equivalent to a bypass. Pump is still there but doing nothing. Only if you change the bad pump out, then you are able to clear the fault code. Hope this helps.
@@laoxi4844 thank you for you replay!!
What about if i connect 2 hoses direct without pump
Is there any problem of coolant circulation system of engine
?
@@sasasa4141 I really do not know how this pump is doing in the whole cooling system. If the pump is not working, that is equivalent to the hoses been blocked. The engine runs but the fault code is always there. By connecting hose togather, I do not know how that will affect the cooling system and therefore I do not know the answer. If the bad pump is not replaced, there will be some adverse effects to the engine even it still runs. How bad for the long term? I have no idea.
Hello sir, I am getting the same fault code in a Vento and the pickup has also reduced. Do I have to replace the coolant pump to restore the pickup?
This is for preheating the coolant. I am at north, you will see the coolant running in small circulation with this pump first during the winter. So if you don't do anything, it just takes longer to warm up in winter
