Yes sir. That's the error code. Only replace the pump with a original one or pierburg one. Any other manufacter will not work and it will give you the error on dashboard.
@@HOWTODO0828 Thanks friend, I'm from Brazil and my car is a Virtus 1.0 TSI (the Polo sedan), this same error code appears next to code 18065 "coolant pump 2 in short circuit", thanks for the answer
Hello thanks for the vid mate, i had a first error p190d for the pump 2 that i changed and then a second error popped p26f8/4 so i changed the 3 pump and i have both code errors now, the pumps a working good. Do you have any idea pls
You should have only two water pumps on the car, one working with timingbelt and the other one it's the one I showed in this video, replace the one which has the error code, make sure it's pierburg or OEM because other manufactures are not working properly on the car and it will still show you a error code
Hello, does it affect the speed of the car when the pump is broken or not? This means that in some cases the speed does not exceed 100 km per hour. Thank you. Is it possible to erase it with a scanner from the car’s memory? Thank you
Hello, it does not affect the speed of the car but it will affect the temperature of the engine and if you don't replace it it can brake the head gasket of your cilinders, I recommend you to replace it as soon as possible and only with pierburg or original. The code will not dissappear from the dashboard if you erase it with a scanner tool, only if you replace the faulty part the code will dissappear itself.
Hi did you ever get this problem sorted? I think I have a similar issue...scan shows P261B00 code. Car goes into limp mode sporadically also...think i will replace Pump B with a pierburg and see what it does
Hello, for the auxiliary water pump always go with the original or either pierburg, only replace it with new parts. For the heat exchanger denso and nissesns are some very good manufacturers. I have videos with both jobs and you can follow them and in this way you'll be able to fix your car yourself. Good luck 🙏
My 2010 audi a5 coupe is only heating the driver side with hot air,the passenger side is pretty much cold .I was told v50 coolant pump fault ,does this sound right? Has anyone experienced this?
Yes sir. The problem wich you have has nothing to do with the auxiliary water pump. The fact that you only have heat in just one side of the vehicle it's feeling me that the heater core it's probably clogged or it's blocked with dirt and that's why it's not providing you proper heat on all sides. I recommend you to wash the sistem and replace the heater core from under the dashboard. Also put brand new antifreeze in the sistem and I quarantee you Wil have heat after that. Also check the water pump and the thermostat if they are working properly. Also you have to replace the auxiliary water pump because otherwise you could over heat your engine and destroy the head Gasket
Yes. If the auxiliary water pump it's not working it can produce overheat and destroy the head Gasket. I've encountered a few.... I recommend you to replace it with the an original one or pierburg one.
If you didn't bought an original auxiliary water pump, or at least the manufacter to be pierburg the engine light will still appear into the dashboard. Only the pieces made by vw or pierburg will work on this cars and only after you install one of this manufacter the problem will dissappear. Also check the harnesses just to make sure everything it's fine. 😎Goodluck
I already explained in the video. You didn't bought a good one. It's eighter the original pump or a pierburg one. Anything beside those won't work and you'll still have the error.
It does make send may friend. Always install oem parts. Yes they are verry expensive but make the difference in how long the part will last and how well will respond to any function. If you install an aftermarket one the reading Wil not me the same. The values will be different because of the low cost build etc.
Friend, to change the pump, what error appeared on your scanner? P261A?
Yes sir. That's the error code. Only replace the pump with a original one or pierburg one. Any other manufacter will not work and it will give you the error on dashboard.

Hi, This is a water pump for all vw models. But this pump is NOT the Webasto water circulation pump right? Subscribed
Yes. This it's the auxiliary water pump. Not webasto it have nothing to do with webasto.
@@HOWTODO0828 so my Octavia has two electrical water pumps thats what I thought. One for webasto system, and one for coling system. Thank you
