I was 8 years old when this song came out. I loved it then and I love it now. The artist with the “yellow hair”, Cyndi Lauper was my favorite artist when I was growing up. My sister and I would have little concerts for our family and friends. She pretended to be Madonna and I pretended to be Cyndi Lauper. We danced and lip synced to their music. We played other artists also. I danced to Tina Turner, Janet Jackson, Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson, Bruce Springsteen, the Eurithmics, the Bangles, Tiffany, Debbie Gibson, and many others. We had these concerns in our house. We even changed our clothes to be like the different artists. Those were some of the best days of my life. Wonderful memories. 🙏🏻♥️😊🎶✌🏻🇺🇸

Then someone said there was no live version on MTV. I had to correct them... YOU don't understand that live means when it AIRED ON MTV. THEY don't understand the concept of a premier video & how it was never called a premier video. There was never any differentiation between a video OR a premier video. It seems like everyone everywhere knows Michael Jackson! Lol I love the comments on Cyndi Lauper. She's one of a kind with her crazy hair dye and unusual voice. It really makes her stand out. I remember watching her on TV with my grandmother when Lauper was starting out. I thought that my grandmother wouldn't like her because she dressed funny and had weird hair. My grandmother surprised me and said that she liked Cyndi Lauper. She said that Lauper was going to be a big star because she was different from everyone else and had a good and distinctive voice. I heard them mention about Stevie Wonder being blind. I was wondering if they knew that Ray Charles was blind, too. Both play/played the piano by touch and memorization of the music. The new version of this song where they were raising money for Haiti was really good too. Janet Jackson sings the Diana Ross part with the audio that Michael did for the original. There are many current artists in it. There is also a rap segment and a reggae artist, too, if I'm remembering it right.

Don't go to the Rock & roll hall of Fame if u aren't ok with crying in public lol... That was the third time that day. They have part of the airplane that Otis Redding crashed & died in (literally just burst out bawling when I saw it. Up til then everything I saw was so happy, I turn a corner & I see that? I was not prepared. I love Mr Otis Redding) then they had a display with the photos from the rolling stone cover shoot from the last pictures taken of John Lennon right before he was murdered. Idk if you have ever seen it, but Yoko is laying on her back in bed, fully clothed staring at the ceiling with her hands behind her head & John is clinging to her almost in a fetal position, naked. That's the cover shot. But the others were all takes on that, and when u see them all together I swear it looks like a sad woman thinking deeply, while this ghost clings to her. It's very sad.
So by the time I got to this entire huge room that's nothing but Bruce Springsteen I was now crying happy tears. Because here's his whole life laid out, from dancing on stage with Courtney Cox, on down through the years and I was just struck by how young he & the band were & how, they made it! So much hard work & determination & look what they accomplished! Was such an overwhelming feeling of pride in someone...

These are some astute gentlemen. I’ve watched several channels react to this video, and this the first time someone recognized Michael Jackson’s brother and sister.

this is amazing! A suggestion for another vid: queen at live aid..don't need to show the whole set as its quite long but you can show the most iconic ones like bohemian rhapsody, we will rock you, we are the champions etc. It isn't even Freddie's best vocal performance as he was dealing w health issues but due to its historical relevance and the impact it had I think it would be perfect to show!

I wish they would do this again. I miss this stuff. Remember comic relief? They did big comedy shows to donate money too.

As usual, your videos are quite interesting. The "USA for Arfica" was not the first charrity grand music project, but it's deffinately one of the most recognized and successful.
Some things, i would love to mention.
    1. You can show them Paul Simon in this video, since they already know his name from the Sound Of Silence video.
    2. It was a thing in the 80's for different charity music projects (songs, concerts or albums in different colaborations). Some of them, that i can call at the moment are:
    - Live Aid 1985 concert - The one that Queen made their stars shine on Wembley.
    - Band Aid - I think 1984 featuring Duran Duran, U2, Bananarama, Sting ("The Police" at this time), Phil Collins (Genesis), George Michael (Wham!).
    - And 1986 is one of my favorites is "Hear 'n Aid" led by Ronnie James Dio and the song "Stars" in particular, featuring many rock and metal musicians, like Dio himself, Geoff Tate, Rob Halford, Eric Bloom, Blackie Lawless, Yngwie Malmsteen, Dave Murray, Adrian Smith, Eddie Ojeda, etc.
