since the original xbox, XBMC/Kodi has been my goto video player. gone are the days of having to use CCCP codec packs to watch the latest anime/movie rips. it really is a simple to use and outstanding media player 👍
One of the new core from Jotego will be Taito's Fairy Land Story a classic arcade from 1985. It's being worked on for a few days now on github :=). The other core from the 90s could well be Turtles in Time as it is supposedly worked on too.
I managed to get the mister pi on batch 2 launch. Woke up 2am UK time to order. Was supprised to see them still available at 9am. Gives everyone chance to get one. Now I have to patiently wait for delivery.
@@PixelCherryNinja I bought a DE10 nano when they was 100 quid many moons ago. I am gonna buy a Taki clone just to put in my livingroom but I am waiting. Why? cos I want everyone who hasnt got one to get one first. This is importnat for our growing comunity. My Taki clone when I get it will be just for snes games. I am gonna laser cut a case for it and play Super Metroid on my TV. Super Metroid has gotta be in the top 10 games ever made. That and GTA5 Crysis 3. Galaga. Super Sprint. Jungle Hunt. Black ops 1. Modern warfare 2. You add the rest. :)
@@Mong00se22 Thanks for being patient. Was able to get one from the second batch because of people like you. Had problems checking out a couple times so I got really scared lol.
You said my name almost perfectly, only the initial “A” is not well pronounced, the rest is great! I wish I could speak English, and even more so with good pronunciation ;-)
I've been running Plex and Jellyfin servers on two different PC systems for years now. For playback I prefer Roku although Plex and Jellyfin do have client applications for so many different devices. My Roku can do direct av1/opus playback so I've been re-encoding everthing in that. I haven't read up on the Plex for MiSTer. I assume it turns it into a client? Ah, from the bit you showed, indeed, it is the client application. I've used Raspberry Pi devices as clients in the past and they were pretty slow so I'd expect the MiSTer to also be comparitively slow but I might just give it a try once my MiSTer Pis arrive.

If it's running on the ARM then yeah it'll be pretty slow
Yeah it's limited to 320x240 (the Mister has no GPU, just a simple framebuffer), so basically a Plex client for a crt.
