How to turn a Spiked star in a Tetrahedron? Manuel De Tourneur present this idea in 1816, but hardly anyone has ever turned it before? Download PDF guides HERE! www.hitechedu....
Outrageously stunning, a very brave and clever project to undertake. With your extreme care, skill and a little mathematical know how you have achieved what so many woodturners could, with only a little more confidence. Thank you Jarno for your time, patience and effort, in filming, editing and downloading. Your generosity I'm sure will inspire others to go to another level in either their turning or at least start thinking about doing this next level project. Please, keep up with these beautiful works of art, but more so, please keep posting your results. Many thanks again. Tony
Big thanks Tony! I have been turning for about 30 years and the work was challenging for me. I thought for more than two weeks about a solution for turning a tetrahedron. Unbelievable that in 1816 Manuel Du Tourneur has been able to produce this piece? Today, people solve the problem with 3D printing :) PS: More special jobs are coming when I have enough time.
I can't even turn a sphere yet, so the fact that you can turn a large sphere by eye and then make a symmetric pyramid with a three pointed doohickey inside means you have chops! OR, the whole thing is trick photography. But I really do believe you are talented enough to make that doohickey thingy. Thanks for sharing with us.

This work was really difficult to solve and turn. Because of this, I haven't seen anyone perform something similar before. Give it a try😉
Wow, so cool. Full View and Like 👍
