    I have this machine too! I set my flow control lever fully closed at a 6:33 position. So at a 6:30 position, you get the long pre-infusion. Just makes more sense that way and looks better. Hey, great video too! You guys are smashing the YT content lately :-)

      Hey Squib, thanks for the tip and kind words. Trying to pump out a bunch of content in time for the holiday season!

    I found the steam was very underwhelming from factory. Removing the internal silicon hose from the steam wand and drilling the holes in the tip out to 1.5mm made it so much better.

    I love this machine! I’ve mine from you. Nice service. Hey guys, How can I install the Flow Control system on V Slim? Can you make a video with this? Thanks!

      Hey Francisco, this video is a couple years old, but should be what you're looking for. Different machine but same procedure. Obviously make sure the machine is off and cooled before doing this.

    what a review.. what about stability and not for just one shot... as pro-summer machineit s important to make some extracts at least 4...

      Hey cellodl, the larger .75 liter boiler on the Classika should have no problem pulling several back-to-back shots. By the time you clean your PF, grind, and tamp the next shot, you'll be back up to brew temperature.

    Are they no burn wands? Looks like my Gaggia and those def burn everywhere but the rubber.

    Hello guys nice video, I just installed the FC device on my mechanika, but I wanna ask: the group gauge shows 10 bars when I leave the knob at 1 1/4 turn, my machine pressure on gauge shows 10 bars, you recommend to set it at 10 bars to get 9 at the group... I saw that your FC gauge shows 9bars, do you leave the machine pressure at 10bars? and you set the knob at 1 1/4 turn for this video? or something wrong is happening with mine? Thanks.

      Hi Francisco, is that 10 bar while brewing, or while running the pump with a backflush disc in the portafilter? Seeing the same number is normal with a backflush disc (closed system). While brewing, if properly dialed in, I'd expect the group gauge to be a little lower than the machine gauge. If it's not, perhaps your grind is too fine. The 1 1/4 turn is generally what produces the stock flow of around 7 g/s of water with no portafilter in the group, but I'd recommend measuring your specific FC device. At 1 1/4 turn and no portafilter in the group, weigh the output of water over 20 seconds, then divide by 20 to get the g/s.

      @@Wholelattelovepage Thanks for the reply, is while brewing, so do you think that my grind is too fine? Because I used the same settings with a “stock” mushroom, I don’t know if my machine pump pressure is high or my FC isn’t calibrated, I’ve measured and with a 1 1/4 position the flow rate is 7,5g/s with 1 turn is 6,6g/s, so, seems to work well. So what do you recommend me to do?

      @@Wholelattelovepage hi, thanks so much. Should i measure my original flowrate bevore installing the FC or is it really 7g/s. I would like to order my machine including the FC, so i cann not proof the flowrate without fc.

    Which timer do you use?

    • @Wholelattelovepage
      @Wholelattelovepage  2 роки тому

      Hey Phillip, that's up to personal preference - some people like to start timing right when the brew lever is raised (the time shown on the machine) while others prefer starting the timer once the first drip hits the cup (the time shown on the scale). Here's a video going into more detail on the topic: ua-cam.com/video/Cd1Y0Aq3Khg/v-deo.html
