Must be nice to live in a fantasy world without depression. Congratulations you're a lucky one . I wish a UA-cam video from a stranger made Me feel like you.....
Man, nothing makes me more stoked for Mav than to see him traveling through Japan and seeing him be able to ball out and enjoy the fruits of his labour. All achieved through honest, genuine passion and no clickbait BS. Keep on truckin brother!!!
Currently in hospital getting stemcell transplant to fight off cancer! Nothing better when a mav video pops up! Keep it up brother can't wait to do some winter camping again.
Hey Mav, I lived in northern Japan (Miyagi Prefecture) for three years. Sapporo is the best nature in all of Japan. And I love that you are cooking Japanese dishes while you are there. In Japanese, instead of Bon Apetit, you say itadakimasu. To help us remember, we jokingly say "Eat a duck we must"!
@@George-nx8zu To me, more than sites to see, I think the best things are the festivals. Japan is an ancient society whose culture is second to none in the world. Sapporo is world famous for the Snow Festival (Yuki Matsuri) and the Yasakoi Suran Festival in early summer. Of course, being from Alaska, I love the national parks and nature possibilities. To combine nature and festivals, check out the Onuma Lake Festival in July. But again, to me the best of Japan can be found in the people, their culture and traditions (and they generally love it when visitors participate).
Life hack: usingどうも (doumo) instead of ありがとう(arigatou) as thank you when traveling in Japan, it’s way more easier to pronounce and more polite when talk to strangers, cuz people normally says ありがとうございます(arigatougozaimasu) and it takes forever to say it right if you don’t speak Japanese
I have a hunch this will not be Mav's last trip to Japan. Not that he doesn't mesh well with anywhere he goes but there's something special about Japan to Mav and it shows. 💚
You are doing a great job in Japan, Mav! I lived there for three years. The first few months were rough with the language barrier and just adjusting to life there. Love that you are trying to learn the language and cook Japanese food!
Mav amazing! Driving a foreign car, driving on Japanese highways, shopping in Japanese grocery stores, cooking in fòreign cars. Amazing!!! I lived in Japan 50 years ago and can't do what you do Mav! You're fantastic!
Japan is beautiful in general but I would imagine there is so many places I’ve seen in north Japan specifically that would make for fantastic camping ( bears aside 😅). That Toyota is absolutely gorgeous. Ty for taking us along this trip it’s honestly breath taking. I think it’s safe to say you have convinced tons of us to add this to the bucket list ❤

Many years ago I had a Japanese exchange student one summer. She was wonderful, kind, polite, intelligent, and fun. Our family loved her! It's nice seeing Japan from your perspective.
FINALLY been waiting for a new update from you in Japan bro, I camp overnight every day as a security guard out of my car and your videos always give me ideas and keep me occupied, thank you for everything you do brother, KEEP ON TRUCKIN!!!!!!
18:25-You can use black gutter wire screens they have them at any hardware store. They are perfect because they literally lock in the window perfectly. You just have to cut them to fit your windows.
I’m living out of my 2006 F150 for the past 3 months because I came across your videos one day. It’s been fun and I’ve met more people from different walks of life while on this journey. Stay safe and keep on trucking.
It amazes me how you adapt so well in another country. You are traveling alone in a country you have never been to and don't speak the language yet, that does not phase you a bit.
Mav u made my morning…woke up not feeling so well…had to call off work…and then boom your video pops up and everything is ok! I only wish I could be more adventurous like you MAV
Hey Mav! Dave here from north central Ohio. Wildlife/landscape photography is what I do. Really enjoy what you do. And if I was still in my 20s I might even give it a whirl. Hang on to that mindset of yours, be greatful for your parents and brother keep on trucking 🚚
My parents lived in Japan for almost 3 years and I never went because of work. I wish I had now. I wasted a good opportunity too. I now want to go camping for a month like you are doing with the RV. I just hate flying so I have to work myself into doing this but I just love this!
Nice work little pony. You look so much younger with your hair cut. You’re a brave one going to Japan alone. Love this mini series. Blessings from the Northwoods of Florida.
Jealousy aside, I'm very happy you can love your best life and we can be a long for the ride and adventure. You've worked hard for many things you have and you're no slouch so I hope you can continue do this forever and you keep doing badass things. Much love Mav to what you do.
You make us feel like we are traveling with you ❤️❤️❤️ we loved Japan as well. We've been stationed there for a total of 17 years. Thank you for sharing your adventures with us 😊 Have fun and stay safe. Ganbate😊😊😊
I was stationed there too, unaccompanied never had to cook nor did any camping. Did enjoy the 711 food and Yokohama Tokyo areas. China town and Landmark Tower. Atsugi Air base 2003 - 2005
I look forward to Mav posting Sunday evening. It’s my Sunday routine to watch his new vid, before going to sleep, ending my weekend. Getting started for a new week. Thanks Mav 👍🏼

I watch quite a few UA-camrs in Japan. Just before they eat, they say "itadakimasu." Which means "I humbly receive" unless said before a meal, then it is comparable to 'bon appetite'. I have been obcessed with Japan since my sister and her husband lived there for three years for his job! My nephew taught English there for about a year as well! I am so glad you are enjoying your trip!
Another awesome video! Gotta love the Land Cruisers! I have an ‘01 and learned how to drive on a 1970 FJ. They still make them in the same factory in Japan.
Mav!!!! Love you're videos. Been watching the whole series. My wife and I bought your new Japan mobile research studio hoodie. Stay safe and keep on trucking!!
its so nostalgic to see a cramped vehicle like that again, kinda miss the old setup but can't deny the experience of the full fleet you've collected. you should have hit up this other truck camper called tabi-ie hes got a fairly large following and I think the two styles would have been neat to see. plus he seems to know all the best camping spots.
Awesome video young man!! I’m so enjoying this series! Brings back so many memories, having lived near Sagamihara(Camp Zama, US Army base) Japan has so many beautiful views, gorgeous springtime when the Cherry Trees Bloom. Been loving these videos lately. Can’t wait to free up my schedule to start doing some overlanding and camping trips. I need less working and more living!
The first of this Japan series, he tried fishing...but, no luck, iirc. He even showed what looked like a couple of bass boats...looked just like a scene from any conus lake, but was in Japan....just sayin'
