You are by far the most realistic car campers I ever known. Every videos you experienced or stated something that I think might happened as a campers. Being questioned and chased away by cops, aware of possible dangers (gunshots, bad neighbourhood etc.), non perfect equipments. Most youtubers they made videos like they are in heaven and acted like nothing can go wrong.

We were in Grand Portage in August 2020. There is a really cool/difficult hike at the State Park/rest area right by the border. One trail (very easy) takes you to this amazing waterfall and then another trail (pretty difficult, but amazing views) that veers to the left takes you to a river where the Canadian border was about 10 feet away (just a “jump” over the rushing water). Pretty cool.
HAHAHAHA the trailer park boys reference was hilarious. I knew exactly what episode when you brought the show up, just by the passing of the green trees in the window lol
canadian here and im actually liking this summer a lot better since no tourism lol , a lot of the local places ive talked to say they are doing just fine or even better then before for half the part just because of local support !!

Recommend you get a road atlas book for your state and region. Never have to use google maps when you have no cell service and restricted land like reservations is usually well marked on the map.

I've been to that spot on the Pigeon River. It's pretty interesting, and I still wonder how long that bridge has been out. I never noticed the old stripped cabin, though. It really did look like something out of The Blair Witch Project. Did you notice the "security system" they had in place? It might not still be there, but on one of the trees in the middle of the lot/turnaround, there was a game camera in a metal box. lol! I was awed by the technology. Glad you finally stopped by Sven and Ole's. NOW you're a true Minnesotan! ;-)
The bridge was moved in 1962. The bridge spot in this video was built illegally without gov't approval by either country by the Rotary Clubs on both sides.
I'm from NY and in my younger years after clubbing, we would hit the diner and order french fries with gravy. I still order it from time to time, but never had poutine. Would love to try it. I am Canadian. Poutine is a treat food. We rarely eat it I haven't had good poutine since i left Newfoundland 5 yrs ago. Last poutine i had: It was Fries, gravy, cheese, chicken, and peas. So delicious. I haven't had poutine in Alberta yet. Good video as always.

Where I ATV and snowmobile there are many parts of the border with just rock boundary markers. Many farms also are half in NH half in Canada. Pretty cool

Grand portage is my home town, grew up fishing and hunting the woods up around the border. The river that splits MN from Ontario has nice eater walleye with the occasional trophy mixed in. Watching the video made me miss home and that’s why I thought I would comment.

Grand portage is my home town, grew up fishing and hunting the woods up around the border. The river that splits MN from Ontario has nice eater walleye with the occasional trophy mixed in.
Watching the video made me miss home and that’s why I thought I would comment.
At least Canada is being smart by keeping the borders closed and following guidelines. I respect that. They should just build a wall, I say 😂
New sub here. I travelled for 6 months last summer from my home in Florida to Niagra Falls, Canada to Grand Canyon, AZ, (and all places in between) in a Chevrolet Malibu! I slept in my car everywhere! Nobody ever bothered me the whole 6 months. I WISH I had your set up! So dope! Your truck is goals! Keep on truckin'!
