I know you got your reasons and the bike is top notch. Love your videos so I hope you keep posting and can’t wait to see your new bike.
Hope you get top money for your bike. My experience has been your lucky to get 25% of the money you spend on upgrades back not counting the depreciation that happens as soon as the new bike rolls of the lot. Hope you can share how you came out in the end.
I hope you get want you want from the sale, after market add-on depreciate the bikes value. Everyone wants a standard bike and then put their stamp on it just like you did, your up grades need to put on eBay to most money back. good luck

Really hard to sell mods. If your bike stock is worth 10K usd and you put 7500 usd into it it's still a 10K usd bike that someone has put 7500 usd worth of stuff on

Dude - I can't believe your selling the M1200S - I bought mine just a couple months ago and plan to keep it for quite some time. I am however considering selling my 2015 R1200GSA, and perhaps getting the Multistrada 1260 Pikes Peak.
May still keep it, but is someone comes along with the right price I’ll let it go, if I sell my Africa Twin first then I’ll keep the monster 😜
You need a proper enduro/green lane bike in any garage along with a good road / adventure bike simples 😊👌👍👍
Hope your clued up on how to spanner your own bike if your going down the route of a proper off road bike, very regular oil changes,valve check/adjustments they can be maintenance heavy but by God are they worth it.

I live in the southeastern US where summer temps regularly go north of 40C. My only concern with this bike is the heat it produces around the legs. Thoughts?
It does get warm buddy but nowhere near as hot as my old 959 used to get as that what pretty unbearable 😳
I know you don't have the bike but interested to know what bar end mirrors you put on it. I pick up a 2019 1200s next week (assuming it all comes in fine) and like the style. How did they compare with stock mirrors especially for visibility?
Hi mate, the mirrors were rizoma retro reverso if I remember correctly, they were more stable than the standard ones and vision was veery good too, cheers, GMAN

Hey thanks one last question. Did you need to buy any particular bar ends. I found them on one site suggesting they only work with certain rizoma bar ends. I might be crazy but I’m trading my 1299 pani. I wanted something a bit more street focus with plenty of power still.
Yes mate, you need to get specific rizoma bar ends to fit with the mirrors, you will love the monster, I really miss mine 😞
I have the same dilemma I picked up a new gs rallye two months and only used it twice and I have lost interest on road riding since I started doing track days on my track bike,been thinking about getting rid of the gs and get a ktm enduro bike
I know what you mean mate, I love going to Spain but the roads here are a bit shit in comparison, I’m loving getting into the green laning and will get either a KTM 300EXC like my Bro’s or a new 2019 HONDA CRF250/450RX 😜
This vs a pani v2 - since you’ve ridden both which would you say has more raw power and is better as a street/track dual purpose beast ?
I would say the monster is the better all round bike but for track I’d have the V2 any day, just depends how much of track or road you will be riding, power quite similar 👍

Hi mate, you have to order a couple of rizoma adapter parts when you get the mirrors, they are great mirrors although do need tightening sometimes as Work a bit loose, cheers, GMAN

What head light fairing did you fit and do you have a part number

What size cnc blanking screws did you order for the mirrors, they do m8 and m10 on the Internet site.

i just dont believe you will sell it.. let me tell you i ride the 797 and i will not change it for the bike i ride when i had 16/17 y old, WR400, similar to the KTM you want to buy, no comfort what so ever, agressive ride... typicall teenager ride 😜 now with 40y i would only change my 797 for 1200r or 1200s. hope you dont regret, ride safe.

Each to their own mate, it’s the original naked and has evolved into what I think is still a great looking naked bike, I sometimes look at my bro’s super Duke headlight and think how odd that is but he loves it, great to have so many cool bikes to choose from on the market 😜
I would never buy a bike that I have to sell it after a year. My bikes stay with me for life. Bike for green laneing? I thought the plastic twin, sorry africa twin was made for green laneing! TBH all the africa twins I saw were shinier than any Ducati I ever saw.
Monster 1200 is a dream bike. Go ahead and get yourself a Honda or a Yamaha or a KTM.
That monster was good but my new Super duke r is better in nearly ever way 😜

I cannot seem to find the tank bag I used on my monster, maybe it’s discontinued, I used this one on my Speed Triple, 959, it’s pretty good and not too big 👍

Sold the Monster and didn’t loose much money on it as purchased it at a mega discount, now enjoying my Enduro KTM and will maybe buy another fast road bike in the spring and spend more of my money, think I’ll try for 5 different bikes, there’s no sense in all of it and I love spending my money on wherever I want 🤣
