    Damn those toms are set high. M y shoulders are getting sore just looking at them. But man those doubles snap crackle and pop son. Effortless. Great open handed player like Carter Beauford. Real innovators behind the kit. Kudos Simon.

    That is why he is one of the world's best drummers

      Have you ever listen to his music? How about all the artists he has played for. Just because he is doing rudiments around the kit doesn't make him a bad drummer. Could you hear how smooth he was? Did you hear how he incorporated those rudiments around the drumset? He was smooth and musical. That is the sign of a professional drummer.@@Corey46e2

      Well, a 1 minute clip of your life would be riveting, I’m sure. SP has been drumming for nigh on 50 years for some of the world’s top bands and artists. Still, you seem to know what you’re talking about, so you may be correct. 😂

      Facebook. I share it here so people without Facebook van see. Or, sometimes things dissappear from Facebook. Then at least it's here.

    Can't believe he's still hauling around this monstrosity of a kit.

      He doesn’t. Someone does it for him. 👍🏻

      @ytgibbo ..well, I know that but just surprised he still continues using this size of a kit. Great drummer but you've got to reinvent yourself from time to time....in my humble opinion. 😁

      @@shutitup68 "but you've got to reinvent yourself from time to time" That just makes no sense at all. Says you? Why? You can just drum and not worry about other peoples opinion....

    • @shutitup68
      @shutitup68 4 місяці тому

      @fartpooboxohyeah8611 ...That's why I said it was just my opinion, and you have yours. Many veteran drummers, if not most, evolve & change things about their drum kits over many decades, even Neil Peart. I just think it's a little weird and strange that it's literally 97% the same after almost 40 years. It's just good to switch it up on occasion as it forces you to think differently and gives you many new ideas.

      @@shutitup68his set is from years of him inventing himself. That's why it's an iconic drum setup, your comment had zero logic
