i’m a new runner and i’ve been using NRC and it’s making me addicted to running. i love it it’s very user friendly and helpful and gives things to do which makes u want to jus keep beating more challenges.
I love this channel. Also really like that your Latinx, and once in a while, you'll say something Spanish or show your folx. Most sports videos don't have that flavor. So, I used to be extremely fit. Ran two marathons and one half-marathon. Avid crossfit for eight years. Use to be in a cross-country. I was about to do a the bike tour from Bay Area to LA but then I got long covid and was stuck to a bed for about six months. I've gained 75lbs and turned into a completely different person. Tomorrow, I am going out on my first run. I decided to do my first run with nike running club app, I am starting from scratch and taking easy. Thanks for the feedback.

I love this comment! I should've been looking out for treadmill options. Out of these app I know NRC and Garmin connect have treadmill options, but you bring up a good point. Map my run was my least favorite overall because I dont feel it excels in any category. I didn't want to add to many apps in this video for simplification but I was going to replace it at first with Run with Hals. I would say I really like Mapmyrun if you are using myfitnesspal and really want to sync the two apps. Guided runs are okay, Training plans are good but wish the Apple Watch app had all the features of the iOS APP. hope the video helped a bit! so much info to cover
How effective was the nrc in running a 5k. I looked into it and it seems very simple and not challenging (I come from playing futbol) and the runs don't seem like they would get me ready for the 5 k
If you come from a futbol background you probably have a head start so the NRC app or Couchto5k app wouldn't be challenging. Check out the 5k plans from Hal Higdon.

My first app was the NRC app. I liked it and currently don’t have a plan but the connect app seems doable for me also ✍🏻

The NRC is great but doesn’t work for indoor (treadmill) run with Apple Watch.
You have to run with your phone in your hand to measure distance.
