MagnaFlow all day. Just put one on my 2019 Silverado a month ago. Couldn’t be happier with the sound. Not obnoxiously loud, almost silent at idle/cruise speeds. Super mellow tone under normal acceleration, and sounds solid under pedal to the floor acceleration. Perfect for me

Yes, indeed they do! My Magnaflows are 20 years old now and I can testify that they do get louder over time. Around town its no big deal but out on the highway it gets pretty loud inside the car. I can still enjoy the sound system but I do have to turn it up! My car is a 1969 Plymouth road runner, 383 4-speed with upgraded cam, rockers, ported heads and Comp XE275-HL10 cam with tti 1-7/8" headers and tti 3" exhaust system with Magnaflow 3" stainless steel mufflers. I have been toying with replacing the mufflers with something quieter but have not yet found a solution.
Is louder but still good, on my Yukon Denali I install it 3 years ago and sounds better now, but still quiet on highway. Yours still sounds really good
I have a flow master original 40 single in 2 out. People that I’ve raced says it sounds good but I’m not really diggin it. I can’t decide magnaflow carven or others.
@@slowgoat6089 it will sound most like the loudest version you have. Almost full volume. I had one get knocked off and it basically sounded like straight pipe even though I still had one Flowmaster on Try it, you might like it
It’s like a whole different exhaust system, I’m about to install a dual in Dual out MagnaFlow and I wasn’t 100% convinced yet, but now I’m doing it lol!
I got the 4”x9”x14” one. It’s really quiet at first with a stock 5.3. Might update this later but I’m loving the way it sounds. It builds revs quicker and the engine sounds like it had a huge sigh of relief compared to the stock muffler

Use a borla pro xs. Resonator delete aswell on my turbo wagon. 8 months later I now get pops and crackles with a higher note . They do get louder and are best when broken in
Sounds really good! I’ve had a Carven for about a year now but I recently added headers, deleted the cats and added an x-pipe and I’m not really digging the way the exhaust sounds now. Looking for something new and this definitely caught my attention lol

I had planned on rebuilding the dual exhaust and ? Muffler, but I didn't have the heart to tell him it actually upset me to have it sound like my dads Honda civic. 😮 I don't want to drive it anywhere till it gets it's 🏀⚽️ back - ha!🤩 As SOON as I heard that Magnaflow I KNEW it was what my 04 GMC step sd ext cab had sounded like... Is it my imagination, or is the magnaflow louder than the flowmaster was? Now. Because it was quieter b4. And it's got a way better sound than the fm in my opinion.
Interesting. I did a single magnaflow and left resonator on. Tried just the resonator with no muffler and it was a little bit farty sounding like a cherry bomb and droned even with v4 disabled. Also didn’t feel as torquey (although butt dynos aren’t accurate). Might give it a few more months to see how it changes.
How long will it take for the magnaflow to get louder. I just installed it almost 2 weeks ago and I already hear a slight difference. Do they really get that loud if you don’t have a cam?Anything you can do to speed up the process? Great exhaust set up by the way.
I’ve had my magnaflow on for a little over a month depending on what type you have it will get slightly louder the packing will settle mines gotten louder

Oh shit now I know why it sounds so familiar after a years worth of miles on the magna's they now sound identical to brand new loud mouth 2 mufflers check them out and loud mouth 2s keep that sound years on end!!!
I had a pair of Magnaflow Magnapacks on my 2001 Mountaineer 5.0 and just couldn't deal with the that underwater raspy fart clapping type growl they have so I switched them out for a pair of SLP Loudmouth 2s.
@@chrisgarcia7883 sorry I wasn't more specific on my setup, factory cams, stock GT40P heads, Torque Monster shorty headers, true dual 2 1/2 inch pipes going into a 21 inch X-pipe from summit racing, Flowmaster 200 cell cats, and a pair of SLP Loudmouth 2 mufflers. Also Borla S-Types are very similar sounding to Magnaflow Magnapacks but the Magnapacks are in between the S-Types and ATAKs in loud decibels.

@@gasparandres1990 I still have mine, they are still quieter than I expected. Only time I hear them is when first starting up the truck and heavy acceleration. Other than that whisper quiet unfortunately. I guess it is a trade off, had a Chevy once that came with flow masters and the cabin drone was so loud on the inside would give me a headache sometimes.
Which Magnaflow muffler did you put on your Truck. Is it a full dual exhaust. 2 mufflers or a single muffler dual pipes. I've got a Ford 468 that's built up and was curious if 2 mufflers would be better than the factory 2 into 1 exit.

I have a Cammed 6.0 Silverado 2500 with a magnaflow. I’ve only had it on a month. It’s actually very loud and the drone is so horrible I don’t want to hardly drive it. lol just wondering if you had drone or if you did anything to fix it? Thanks
I love the sound of MagnaFlow but hate the fact that they get louder in time. Been looking at the 18” (part number 12288) for my Ram but I don’t like the sound of the year later section on here at all. Extremely too loud and aggressive for me. I don’t want my Laramie sounding like a hot rod.
The only reason for your muffler to become louder over time is the breakdown of the packing material inside. Therefore the muffler is actually failing and should be returned under warranty if possible. Thanks for the video, T doubt I;ll be buying Magnaflow.

Wow, the muffler is much louder after a year. It definitely sounds better now, it had too much of the muffled fiberglass sound.

I’ve noticed with mine that it’s only loud when accelerating. Once you let off that gas it quiets down, which in my opinion I like.
Branson Ellison mine is pretty loud all the time but I also have a high flow cat and headers

His is an 18 inch. Before the break in he said he had no drone but barely. I got a 14 inch on mine with no drone but I still have my cats.

It’s definitely louder than the flow master now. It kinda defeated the purpose of making it quieter now..

Try the opposite. Take the resonator off and leave the muffler on

Get the 22 or 24inch....you will think its too quiet a first....give it about 6 months and it will be just right.

They are 20x9 and the are oe replicas. They are about $198 each
