best tv performence ever, guitar player with an violen thingy and a wah, a bass player with awesome skills, drummer with like 7 toms, perry farrel the magical singing. and then this woman with amazing dance skills come in. this is magical. i've been listening this now for the 10nd time by now, its magical. it really is. porno for pyros is such an underrated band and i want them back. i got their album and it sounds awesome. it's a whole other style of making music than the normal crap today.
I vividly remember this when it was originally transmitted. I'd seen it advertised and watched it purely because Sonic Youth were on the programme, but ended up being completely blown away by this performance. I bought the album as quickly as I could afterwards. Different from Jane's Addiction, but blummin' marvelous!
Saw Porno for Pyros in Burlington Vt. with friends at a small church in mid 90's. Stage was covered in flowers. Incredibly intimate , small great crowd, no idiot jocks or meatheads.. God I miss the 90's...
