Most underrated drummer of all time IMO. His great sense of time and blends of exotic percussion with heavy hitting and great jazzy/funky rhythms is truly unique.
agree, if noone has heard his hardhitting stuff with "Infectious Grooves" side project, do yourself a favor, shows how versatile a drummer he has always been, he is a modern Mitch Mitchell for me...
This song always managed to break my heart. Then pick up the pieces and repair it anew! I love perry. this album was misunderstood by most! What an intimate rendition.
gorgeous album, it was really really touching for me during a dark time in my life, abstract, tropical, rocking, so many emotions and colors in one album
thanks you for posting this! This is what music should be,humble and honest artists making music together for the sake of music and art! this is music!safe to say my fav PFP song, beautiful and pure!
You are so right. I think this band is better the Janes. More modern. Dont get me wrong, love Jane's. However, this band was something special. Porno Por Pyros and Good God's are two to the best albums ever. Powerful, Ballsy, and modern. And Destefano is a better guirar player then Dave. Trully and underated band. Perry finally buckeled to the music industry, which wanted Jane's. by the way, does anyone have Feeway live.
He was having serious drug and psychological issues and couldn't balance getting fucked up with making music like the other members could. The whole band aside from Stephen Perkins had bad drug habits (believe it or not, P4P had more drug problems than Jane's Addiction).
Well that's because he had already quit. Read that book, dude had serious issues when he was in that band. They ALL had serious issues when they were together.
Too much hard drugs and craziness! Said if he didn’t quit he was going to go nuts or die. Now he’s been married to Christina Applegate for many years so I’d say he’s doing okay!

Bravo! & Bravo!

When
Mike Watt lays down the Bass like a carpet.
Flying the flannel..💛
Is this about the passing of Perry’s father? He said on a post recently that his fathers passed away in the 90s
Puro talento....eles parecem brincar de fazer música!.......genial.
Could be wrong but I think this song was dedicated to Shannon Hoon of Blind Melon. W/E it's a masterpiece......
It’s dedicated to Perry’s dad who apparently died in the 90s. I’m pretty sure the good God don’t take away my father part confirms that
thanks man
This whole album really grew on you when you gave it a chance The Glory Days of 120 Minutes I miss this s***
does anyone have the full interview from this appearance on 120 minutes? if i recall correctly, and i am, it is HILARIOUS.
Underrated.
Great!
yea man, on the album he is mentioned as the second bass player and he is not even on the photo!
is there a video of this interview? it was a hilarious conversation about their boat getting stuck on a reef or something.
Reef
