Boston 2023 ❤❤❤. Paradise. Tanya has gotten me through more than I could handle back in "the day " In my early teens when I was not accepted for being gay but here I am at 50 and in an incredible relationship with the love of my life John Platanitis ❤️ He's so incredibly talented (as a pianist an organist) Much love Tonya ❤️ John and I will be in the crowd in Boston. ❤
it's the lack of perfection is what makes it perfect :D I'm a big delay user live and I almost always tap them in with a pedal. But back in the day I'd "guess it" and... It was sometimes better.
Lord, her voice, her lips, her smile, what an amazingly cute young woman! It must have been so nice to be in this band, just to have her around, traveling and hanging around with her...
My girlfreind Vanessa used to have her music in 1993?-4? Wow time flys by🌹 What a great voice and incredible range We are an artist meaning one guy with a camera and good taste in music like this Cheers✨🐾
My mix, got banned from Jools Holland, and 4AD got an indignant letter from the producer, for asking for a retake, all the songs were recorded separately and then compiled then. Jools didn't mind though, first time I've heard it since then.
Her vibe was essential to what Belly grew into ... one of my favorite, all time bands and best live band performance I've been lucky enough to experience ...
I have my own take on her, but will say this - surely there is a reason that once Tanya brought her into Belly, she stuck. Tanya could have pretty much brought anyone she wanted to into the band, but hasn't felt any need to replace her. Tanya isn't irrational or self-destructive or feckless to the point that she would bring a player into the group that wasn't carrying the weight or causing issues.
+DJKevvy Kev A lot of fans gave Gail Greenwood crap, but she's a great live performer and made the band edgier. Couldn't handle the backing vocals too well because she didn't have Tanya Donelly's range.
Huh? The bass player is awesome. A musician rocking out and enjoying performing. (This is about the music right? Maybe some of you peeps would be happier just listening to this song whilst gazing, longingly, at an old photo of Tanya or sumthin'.)
Don't look at me looking back at you out the window backwards. At night the backlight in a room turns your windows into mirrors that you can see outside in the dark and anything behind the window mirror. T.A. Monte

I want to marry Ms. Donelly. The album version is sublime. Dunno about surfer-grunge girl on bass, tho. A mate of mine from NZ supported Belly in the early 90's with his band "The Bats" and said Tanya & Tom (on guitar) were lovely but the rhythm section were doing push-ups before the gig to get 'pumped'! Since when are 'roids a rock 'n roll drug? I never liked L7..
+Chloe Browning It's there, just very low. Whoever transferred this video (probably from a VHS tape) didn't boost the audio to current internet levels.
yeah bassist Gail Greenwood! who went on to be in the equally great &100% kickass 90s (&all woman=unusual@the time ) grunge/metal goddesses=band L7..who deserve remembering at least for Shitlist & for a frighteningly heavy live version of "Andres" see ua-cam.com/video/jZokwO5d3BE/v-deo.html
What was wrong with that audience, giving a ridiculously lukewarm/virtually nonexistent response to the divine Ms. Donnelly and company, following Jools' introduction? Sheesh.
YES! The episode of Homicide: Life On The Street, where the mother of the slain young victim is mistakenly put into same room as the mother of the young perpetrator. As Full Moon begins to play, the camera circles as these two relatively young, poor and single mothers realize who she is facing, and that the overwhelming anguish they each experience only they could understand, and as victims of deeply fated circumstances, they share a profound bond. It is one of the most moving scenes I've ever seen on TV. It forced me to find who did the music, and I've been a fan of Tanya and Belly ever since. If anyone can reply with season/episode info for locating this scene it would be hugely appreciated!
Elliott Ruga as you can see it was 63 weeks ago when I finally found out about this song, after having the fragment from the show floating in my head for 20+ years. If memory serves me its from season 2,can't remember episode number, you should be able to find it in Wikipedia or IMDB.
Elliott Ruga as for the episode itself,it was indeed a very powerfully written story, one that has stuck with me all these years.I can still see the two mothers expressions when they realize they're intertwined to each other. And when Frank pembleton talks to the kid after he's sentenced, giving him advice on prison life.
One of the most underrated 90's songs and recording artist.
Throwing Muses...The Breeders...Belly...that’s quite the resume. And she’s still making music.
Like a shark with lipstick. One of the most beautiful and criminally underrated song writers of our generation.

god I miss the 90's
It was a glorious time to be a teenager
It was one of the greatest music decades of all time. Period.
The delay on her vocal track is sublime and perfect. What a rocking goddess.

One of of the best episodes of Homicide life on the streets, the show that made me want to be a cop.

Who did the sound mixing for this? Lead guitar is almost drowning out the vocals, and the bass is completely inaudible.

as big as a crush I had/have on Tanya......Tom Gorman's lead guitar is killer.
The volume is too damn low
She sounded like Alison from the cranes at the beginning there.
Whos here in 2021
