Back in the day when Jane's Addiction broke up.i saw one of there last concerts universal amphitheatre in LA...best show ....then went saw PFP in Tijuana Mexico. At some small ass bar on Revolution Street.......off the hook !!!!! Cant explain the feeling .best show WOW!!!!!!
Actually PFP was an amazing project outside of Janes. It still has that amazing JA sound that is imprinted by both Perkins and Farrell. Perry's performance was way on point.
I like him too but he hardly brings the power to this band. They could have done with a 2nd guitar to thicken the sound up a bit. I know that PfP and JA are not the same band and I recognise that Perry maybe wanted to take a left turn in his new band but the do lack the wallop compared to what Jane’s were capable of at their peak. Love both though.
Some of the songs on the album were originally Jane’s songs. Packin’ and Blood Rag were two that came from JA. They just never recorded or finished them.
There was a story that he was hesitant to join Perry's new band because he didn't think he could live up to Dave Navarro. Perry showed him a letter from Joe Satriani where he asked Perry to jam with him and Perry told Peter "I don't want Satriani in my band. I want you in my band."
notreallybandfromottawa was it Joe or was it Steve Vai? I know the latter was a bit upset at Perry when he tried to contact him. Made references to Steve being in Whitesnake. I wonder what Perry would think about such snobbishness now? Joe or Steve would have came up with things that would have blown his mind. They probably wouldn’t went on drug binges and smoked crack with Kurt Cobain with him like Pete did though. 😂
Who ever had the balls to a dislike on this song really doesn't know anything about how Great Perry is Thank you Perry for your that has changed.my live
It's 2020 and I still listen to pornos for pyros all day everyday my bro influence me to listen to this band RIP Mark love you bro saw them at The Wiltern in Los Angels one New Year's Eve the best show ever hope they back one day
apparently Perry's hair turned orange overnight in a travel lodge where they were staying as he had an allergi reaction to the pillows, which had been slept on the previous night by a radioactive scientist.
I thought it turned orange because of the frequencies of his singing is so high and sung with such power, the sound waves causes a redshift-cloud that surrounds his head.
A few months ago I saw Perry actually riding a small bike around 12 midnight near Grand central station in New York city. Very bizarre. It was definately him because I called out his name and he turned around. One of the very few musical geniuses in this world today getting around by riding a bike, yet no talent sh*tbags like karaoke performer Madonna insist on limos and bodyguards everywhere she goes.
its kind of inaudible.....the soft vocals. The "Swear I'll kill you part" is loud and clear and believable even from a scrawny freak like Perry Ferril. They were probably like "how about a date" and the whips out that .25......from his boot.
2024 still listening
Right there with ya
@@tedstelzforever here
I listen to this all the time, album and this video both haha
This song is all about the awesomeness that is Stephen Perkins. What an animal.
A monster just like Steven Shelley if Sonic youth. Backbone
this is 2019 and I still listen to this awesome band....
Right there with you amigo!
Weirdos. FReAKs!!!!
Good on ya!
I remember when this was brand new and I was sorry Jane's had broken up but so glad Porno for Pyros had been conceived
@@amp7224 still listening in 2020 ✌🇬🇧👍
2020
This performance of a hidden gem and personal favorite is the coolest thing I've seen in a long time. Wow.
Absolutely divine. Still listening in 2020.
On their game.
I remember watching this live. It was mind altering.
this is 2020and I still listen to this awesome band....

My fav PFP track!!!! Absolutely love it. DiStefano kicks some shit up there with that wah wah sound!!!
Martyn killing it on the G&L bass
It’s 2021 and I still listen to this awesome band...

Such excellent musicians.
Legendary performance! The percussion is a thing of beauty

Whomever mike' d the kit did an incredible job.
this is 2021 and I still listen to this awesome band....
I make sure to watch this vid least once a year.
Played this on the Juke Box last night!!!!
Good times. Saw one of their very first shows... in Phoenix - April 93, a few days before the debut came out. Fantastic.
The song has a very sophisticated arrangement with many peaks and valleys. "Its the law, it's the law" fave part.
Perry. Yup. A unique talent that keeps making outstanding music.
Such a great album
peter's an excellent guitar player! who on earth ever said he was incompetent on the guitar?
Competent and very creative. I love his sound and style.
I like him too but he hardly brings the power to this band. They could have done with a 2nd guitar to thicken the sound up a bit. So good ❤
I saw an interview with him, he is now wearing a fleece jacket!
Perkins kills this shit on the drums!
should have left the camera on Perk the whole time. BEAST in this song.
this PFP record is Perkins' best drumming
Damn Right
that drums!
they wrote that album during the L.A. Riots
best drummer ever...
Neil Peart.
Jarfish saw his drum clinic last year. Such a great man. It was interesting to listen to him speak.
Perry is the best singer I have ever heard. Just my opinion. Thanks Perry
No such thing. But he is amazing.
One of my favorite songs ever! Great post.
Lv Ya Perry !
Still here. 2021. Roseland ballroom. NYC concert was intense 😁✌👍🤘💖💣💥
Perry’s Best Band. Peter DeStefano blew Navarro away!!
DiStefano is faaaaaaaaaaaaaar more original than Navarro.
@@tom33pr Definitely
@Anderson Cooper I didn’t know that. I still like him better though. I love Janes addiction I just never liked Dave Navarro. Personal preference
no he didn't. fine if you like him better but he didn't "blow him away". What a fucking stupid comment.
was in the audience, faintly remember this. Farrell blew the other meeks off stage......though grant lee was good too. them were the days...
...for us these are the daaaays...
Lucky fucker.
@@eddiem5997 Exactly what I said out loud when I saw it .
FANTASTIC thanks for putting this up I love stephens old kit

Same here!
I had a friend shot six times with a .25 from three feet. He survived.
ive been waiting for this to be posted for years. thanks mate!
great time in life
I love when ppl get it! Epic !!!
Why I never searched for live PFP performances before now makes me ashamed.
Why? They do the impossible. They take this crap song and somehow make a decent performance out of it.
@@bigteddybear5962 one of the best songs on the album. This and cursed female. 🔥
They also performed Orgasm on this show (later with jools holland) . With a beautiful little Japanese ballet dancer. Amazing.
This is the best thing that Perry has done after jane's addiction...not shitty jane's revival. Peter diStefano fit so well in this band.
amazing patterns
Perkins is sooo good...
Michael Olesen Nah, he’s just filling much needed space. Drummers step up when things are sparse.
Same year they gave a pyrotechnic performance at the Glastonbury Festival. I caught it in "Glastonbury:In Flashback"
Perfect fouuuuuuuuu!!!!
Perry said this song was about when he had this lil' gun in his boot he'd take with him when he went to go and score (Crack) cocaine.
love it
Merry Christmas 2020!
Glad this one is up. The only other version on youTube was of lower audio quality
(read bootleg)
Cheers Mr Carbon
This shit is so much better just a little bit faster. 1.25 on the playback here is a lil too much but you get the vibe
Perry's hair changes orange when he has to get gangster...
He was working for Trumps campaign at the time.
Illuminati coding. 33.
Big Teddy Bear ..... 🙄
Damn, I had no idea Pauley Shore could play drums... Bud-dy!
apparently Perry's hair turned orange overnight in a travel lodge where they were staying as he had an allergi reaction to the pillows, which had been slept on the previous night by a radioactive scientist.

Slept on a sheet of orange sunshine!!!
I thought it turned orange because of the frequencies of his singing is so high and sung with such power, the sound waves causes a redshift-cloud that surrounds his head.
Perkins!!!!!
thanks utube for lettin me see this, this is great
WOW
🔥
Stephen Perkins rules!
He was really in a fuckin' trance on this one! :-D

I think he was living in n.y.c at that time I've seen him twice walking around Chelsea and also that area near GCS Vanderbilt Ave
Probably copping.
Ha, the irony of having bodyguards for a free-access-to-all body that has never been guarded whatsoever.
What?
Why not be the Hero? Why not be your own?
Perkins is a boss!!! 4:12
I love how he doesn't sing it exactly like the album.Could Perry be any cooler?! Who else could get away with dressing like that?
Love the part when Perry screams "SWEAR I'LL KILL YA!" I feel that.
Does it come to us all
I had the PFP devil tattooed on my arm in 2002. Never gets old. My all time favorite ensemble of talent. Perry is a douche but he’s awesome live.
Why is the audio lagging behind the video? Anyone have a better version?
foda imagino so esse caras na minha frente ia ser o show
This band was fucking amazing. Wish they would get this exact line up together again.
really did ya
They're really good but imagine if you had Dave Navarro on guitar and Eric Avery on bass? That would be a kick ass band
It was. But it wasn't this. I'm glad we got both.
very close to the woodstock performance.
I liked them with Mike Watt.
I prefer the woodstock one, but it's close
sterling, just sterling
Nice axe
to the 13 green alot of people I LOVE PETER DISTAFANO HE IS THE SHIS-NYTE CLEAN COOL AND RIPPING SINCERELY,WILLIAM "THE JOKER" GLASSCOCK
90"s Rock is #1
Their first album was pretty original. The stuff they did afterward was shite.
In your opinion. I think Good God's urge is a great record.
Who are the 13 twats? XD
they kill live
I love this song but this is a very limp sounding performance of it.
its kind of inaudible.....the soft vocals. The "Swear I'll kill you part" is loud and clear and believable even from a scrawny freak like Perry Ferril. They were probably like "how about a date" and the whips out that .25......from his boot.
Not with a .25 you won't.
THEY WERE JUST PISSED DAVE NAVORRO WASN'T ON GUITAR
With da echo. Sheesh
Perry's vocal needs it to kinda sound in tune
