Part 2 of the Ford Ranger project, removing the rear tub and assessing the extent of the rust

Welcome back to the second part of the 2012 Ford Ranger T6 project, in this video we show how to remove the rear tub bolts and wiring, clean up all the mud and start having a look at just how bad the chassis really is.
I managed to get the 6 bolts holding down the tub off without snapping or rounding them off which made life a little easier, most of the electrics came off without a problem too, the rear reversing indicator didn't want to play ball and I actually snap a screwdriver trying to remove it so the wires were cut and will be reattached later
Cleaning consisted of brushing off the dry mud, pressure washing the chassis then using a needle scaler to knock off the major rust and a knotted wheel wire brush on the angle grinder to get back to what's left of the metal
The Chassis is really bad, a lot worse than initially thought and in reality needs to be replaced but unfortunately I just don't have the time at the moment with everything else going on so we're going to make the best of a bad situation and patch it for now, if I'm being totally honest I wouldn't do this extent of repair for anyone else but as I do my own servicing etc I'll be more aware of any potential issues and be able to keep a close eye on things, if the truck stays long term then it will probably end up having the chassis replaced just for peace of mind

Sir, the rear air vent. Is the only way to access it by removing the tub?because my ford t6 water leaking through that.
