Very different to the European Rangers which were made in partnership with Mazda. All Rangers here have had a full box section chassis and since we have lots or rain and salt spread on roads in Winter, lots more rust. In fact I’m amazed at how rust free the chassis of this one was, considering its age.
I don't know where you live but you are lucky, these are minors corrosion injuries compared to what cars and trucks gets up north. Where i am in north Canada there is a lot of salt and calcium spread on the roads and it affects the lives of our cars & trucks.
Yes you are correct. This truck is in excellent condition considering it’s age. I plan on keeping this truck a long time and the zero rust will help to protect it. It will work on severe rust as well. Just make sure to get rid of the loose rust flakes and then put 2-3 coats of product on.
Yes it is way past due. I need to make an update video of the truck. I’d really like to make a build video as well. I do have a full build photo album on my Facebook page if you’d let to check that out. @racingpaint
25 and this is my dream to be able to do to all cars. Living in the midwest so many wasted cars due to rust. Great work
Wish I had a garage and tools to do this to my 02 ranger. Maybe sometime eventually in the future.
Great job on the project.
That looks super clean - awesome. Hope to do this to my ranger frame. Nice one.
Thanks Mason, yeah the truck still looks brand new now.
beautiful bro. I need to do this on mine. I have been fluid filming mine every fall for past few years which is good too
Came out great 👍🏽 I’m in the process of doing this to my ‘00. Hope it comes out as nice as yours
I will be doing a follow up video hopefully very soon.
Looks beautiful!

You should do an update on how it’s holding up.
Not hating just curious but wouldn’t it be better to sand down all the rust and then put on the product?
i-was-curious-as-well
What do you estimate the cost of this is? Have a 1998 that I’m restoring and this will be apart of her fix up.
0:41 whats that thing behind the spare tire dropper?
Emission system
How’s it holding up??
thanks
did you paint over the wires on the inside of the frame? doing this soon
Yes, it’s all wrapped in wire loom so it won’t hurt anything.
Preparing to do a follow video very soon.

👍👍
No wire wheeling the surface rust first???
you do if there is alot of loose flaky rust, mine was just surface rust and not too bad.
What about the frame part under the cab
I didn’t film it, but i coated under the cab as well. Coated every part of the frame i could reach
can we get a one year review?

The problem is you got rust underneath that stuff you just spray on that frame.
Yes, zero rust goes directly on top of rust and stops it.
Yo what's that muffler looking thing on top before the spare tire area?
Thats part of the factory fuel vapor canister
What’s your paint code and name I wanna paint my ranger this color
It’s the factory color- Sonic Blue- paint code SN. Full rebuild on Facebook @racingpaint. facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.3830763813669431&type=3
Update?
Yes sorry, the truck has been complete now for a while. I just haven’t made a video. I might have to make a photo collage video of the entire build.
Check out my Facebook, facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.3830763813669431&type=3
Must be nice ima need a new frame in 3 years 😂 or less
You had done everything right untill you didn't get rid of all the rust before spraying it's just to to happen agen
Is a rust coating, its job is to literally stop the rust from growing. And trust me it works great. Is in the title of the video 🤣
