Removing a Toyota Hilux tub or rear body

Jon, why did you remove some thread from the new tub mounting bolts? Does it just make them easier to locate during reassembly?

Hi Jason, Yes it made them easier to locate and it will make them easier to remove in the future because there will be less rusty protruding thread to deal with. Regards, Jon

Hi John. When you drilled out the rivets did the plastic filler cover come off ok over the steel filler pipe neck? Regards Chris

Hi, around 4:01 - the pipe looking part looks corroded and rusted. Is that a major issue? Looks similar to my hilux just wondering if it’s a serious issue

Hi, It's only the outer cover part of the shock absorber. If there is oil on the lower part there is a problem but if it is dry it should be ok. Thank you for watching, Jon
