It's amazing that both the original and the remake both have completely different sequence-breaking glitches that can be used to TAS the game in under 10 minutes.
It’s also amazing that it’s possible to do Moat (Door) Skip in two completely different ways. One uses an insanely complicated and technical route involving parallel universes (no it’s not a multiverse it’s just the main map duplicated forever and ever in what’s known as a PU grid which is caused by overflows in certain values in the game) and the other uses a simple downwarp to somehow be able to walk underwater (which, while being somewhat technical and involving a bit of weirdness in the game’s code that’s also cool to understand, I personally don’t find as amazing as the SM64 way of doing it, since so many things had to come together to get that to work out)
I never knew if you didn't unlock Luigi or Wario they wouldn't appear in the ending... that's actually pretty cool and nice they thought of it. (That and I haven't played the game in so long I forgot if Wario and Luigi were required to get or not and assumed it anyway.)

Glitching under the castle moat in the start, catching a rabbit and then using it to clip through collision and using a long jump speed exploit to get up the stairs. Nearly 10 years later some things didnt change ahah
The long jump isn't to bypass the warp that sends you back, as the warp isn't affecting you while seamwalking. It's just the fastest form of movement there.
I wondered that to, but if you look closer you'll see its his regular spitting out animation and the star well its just spinning like normal but its just moving

The snowman in Cool Cool Mountain appears happy or sas whether you did the mission or not. Here at 13:50, he's sad! Getting him happy is necessary for 100% completion.

They have different physics engines. Wall jumps are different, you can only move in 8 directions (d-pad), as well as various other differences.
But you can do analog control on touch screen.

The long jump isn't to bypass the warp that sends you back, as the warp isn't affecting you while seamwalking. It's just the fastest form of movement there.
