The two buddy space marines add so much soul to the experience. It's nice to see characters played straight and taken seriously; even if they are just a bunch of gigachad monks galivanting through the galaxy, fighting monsters with chainsaws. Such a nice break from the marvel/millennial style quips.

Wow, the guns sound goooood. The other preview videos obscured the sound. Saber have been listening to the feedback. Titus is sounding more like Titus too. Love that you can roll with the heavy bolter now. Even if a first-born marine couldn't, a primaris marine should be able to manage that. Very excited!
My favorite thing in games is when the voice in your head keeps going "WE WON'T BE ABLE TO WIN UNLESS YOU DO THE OBJECTIVE" and every time you do one part of the objective, they once again remind you "HURRY, YOU HAVE TO DO THE REST OF THE OBJECTIVES"
Yeah not to mention the downloaded walk cycle is obviously just being poorly looped.. once again they chose the shittiest cheapest studio to make their game..
This game is already gonna be a masterpiece it’s great to see captain Titus back in action I hope they make more 40k space marine games in this style I like the Callisto protocol style counters they put in when facing Tyrannid warriors
"Masterpiece" is a bit of an over statement. It looks GOOD, but not a masterpiece. The set pieces are great, and looks pretty authentic to lore but the actual game play I've seen a thousand times before.
It looks beautiful and sounds great, but the muted colors make it a bit difficult to clearly identify foes, especially when the nids are that pale white color against the muddy backdrop. One thing I loved about the first game was that target acquisition was never difficult. The orks and chaos clearly stood out from the backgrounds they were in (while fitting in thematically) and made the game very enjoyable
That might have more to do with the color settings on the recording or on your video. They do look a bit muted to me but possibly better on an hdr10 enabled device.
My major complaint is that because the marines are so big, and because they are placed almost directly in the middle of the screen, they become a blind spot that hormagaunts can sneak into.
I really liked the previous game. It kind of made you feel the weight, power and speed of the Marine, the overwhelming heft of his attacks and the devastating effect of his inhuman arsenal. I enjoyed the experience more than the game that spawned it, Doom, despite being a relatively short one. This game seems to improve on all of the above. Can't wait.
Mark Strong's stellar performance will be missed dearly here. Hope he returns for the 3rd game. Otherwise the game looks amazing, will grab it once released.

@@cncmne7404 He was with the inquisition, the templars at the end of SM2 where liekely just there to use the templars model. They do not get along with the inquisition. The trailer also shows titus as more reserved, reisgned even, and more angry, i hope this explored in the game. 200 hundred years have passed since SM1 and he seems to have been just reinstated, i want to know what happended for him to turn up like this.

@@cncmne7404 Chains are a recurrent motif in 40k especially the imperium, it often represents dedication to one's duty/oath, and if you look Titus doesn't have random chains, it's a chained Inquisitorial symbol. It also wouldn' make sense for the BT to just randomly take him, the end of SM1 makes it very clear that the inquisition is taking him, with some BT as ad hoc escort.
@penileymajorey7174 gw does not release the games, they license them. As such they cannot request games be made, only give a yes or no on if a game is allowed to be made, and for gw the answer was, up until very recently, always yes.

I actually think those might be multi-meltas with the tube nozzles and cables. Heavy flamers usually have a sort of barrel shroud that covers the ends of both barrels at once, but those look separate.
Warhammer 40k is fantastic and has a faction for just about anybody. It's seriously fun just to read the lore of the universe that's been built and still going.

Theres some other good ones out there. Despite the complaints and some bug issues spacehulk deathwing is pretty good. And if you like games horde shooter types games both darktide and the vermintide games are fantastic. Vermintide is warhammer fantasy but very fun
One thing I wish for, customizable drip. Captain Titus and Ultramarines are cool and all, but it would be awesome to rock up in some Imperial Fist armor
Since its Tyrannids, I expect a company or two to be present in this campaign. Leading to the possibilities of us witnessing many of the new Primaris addition in action like the repulsor tanks or the Redemptor dreadnought. Heck, won't it be cool if we could pilot an invicus warsuit? I say hell yeah
animations of the soldiers could use a touchup, less repetition, there needs to be some degree of commanding the cadians. The space marine walking animation might be too badass, needs to chill a little bit.
Tyrranids! Hopefully there will be even more new enemies. And several planets, perhaps..? THe first one was a bit limited in scope in terms of enviroments and enemy-variety :)

one thing we allways see in terms of story telling in 40k is that when space marines are fighting an enemy alone (as in they are the only imperial forces present in the battle space) they end up getting taken out significantly faster then when they are bolstering other imperial forces. so heres my thinking, what about a space marine chapter that makes heavy use of non augmented troops. like the war for bedab when the insurrectionist forces dispatched single marines or squads to take control of elite guardsman units. those units managed to hold out against space marine assaults for a significant amount of time. so why not a loyalist chapter that accompanies each marine with 4 to 6 guardsman (baring drop pod insertion) and those guardsman function alongside their chosen marine
using them as squad leaders is a waste of their potential. They can do significantly more damage in small squads or on their own than attempting to work along side imperial guard.
Don't know much about the universe, but some Mark V tank has been really getting adventures in the resent past. And we talk with a lot of armor and very little protection.
I hope they cut down on the text prompts, or have the option to disable them in game. "Reach", "Assemble", "Execute", I find it's quite jarring. At 6:42, the voice prompt is like "There they are, the orbital guns", but I saw the "reach" prompt first, then only saw the guns in the background.

Warhammer is hands down a million times better than Star Wars.
Really gives you a sense of the horrifying scale of a Tyranid invasion. They are endless.
Which also describes the Guardsmen, but in a different way.

I watched this for a minute and 22 seconds. I don't to watch anymore because I'm definitely buying it.
It would be nice if this game had a Custodes mod that included an automatic aim function and a one-hit-kill for all weapons feature lmao.
