I like the recharging armor through executions, kind of like Doom, adds some strategy, and gives you an active way to survive through aggression instead of hiding.
Seen that they won't mention a really important point, I will. Playing the campaign solo on veteran (supposed to be the intended experience according to the game) or above (and some moments in normal) can get extremley frustrating because of the AI companions, who to be frank, don't help. They donb't change weapons, they don't seem to engage with objectives and will moslty stand around shooting minions while you get attacked by half the tyranid fleet right in front of them. To revive you, one of them will try to get to you, ignoring any enemy and the other guy will just watch him struggle without ever helping. "Those cokoo banas moments" he mentions become a repetition of stuns, the constant sound of unblocable attacks and spammed enemy barbed wire while you just try to figure out what even is happening.
Yeah the AI companions are almost completely useless. I had a little more success with pinging certain objectives but only slightly. Doesn’t help the enemies only target you 99% of the time and ignore them. I’m loving the game but that was a very big point of frustration
Agreed. Also, the only way the game is made harder with every difficulty increase, is by making Titus weaker with less armour and lower defense, and the enemies more spongey. What would have been better is if they had increased the number of enemies during the fight sequences, and similar to Helldivers, throw bigger, more difficult enemies as the difficulty increases.
@@Zach-FN- you either need some serious rest or 2 pots of coffee... would recommend the first, as the latter usually caused severe chest pains for me, at a while anyways... was a better medic on planetside though, hitting more shots, lasting a minute longer, etc...

If you want to get into Warhammer: 1. On the Game front Dawn of War 1 & 2 for real time strategy & tactics. Boltgun for a classic Doom/Quake style shooter. Mechanicus for an XCOM-Roguelike turn based game. 2. On the books front a great entry point would be the Ciaphas Cain books. 3. On the tabletop front: DO NOT buy GW’s overpriced plastic crack directly from their web store. Seek out your local hobby shops and see if there is an active modeling & gaming community before dipping your toes in.
Also Darktide if you want a 1st person horde shooter, it's good now, not perfect (a long way from that) but will be improved significantly after 26th September. Very different experience to SM2. Totally agree on not buying direct from GW in most cases, there are some models that you can only get though them but you certainly don't need these are a beginner. Finding a community is helpful because these people absolutely will have too many models and will be looking to sell, or know where to get the good deals.
Totally agree on the Darktide part and I am loving it to roleplay as a survivor veteran on the Cadian fall. (Yes, rocking the cadian stands chest piece cosmetic 😂)

I just beat the campaign and I gotta say that this is one of the best games I've played in many many years. Remember the 360 days when games were just fun and youd look foward to getting home from school to play them? This recreates that feeling. It's proof that a good game doesn't need to be all that complicated to be enjoyable. Seriously it's an 11/10 for me.
Aliens Fireteam Elite, made by the same developer I believe and is pretty much the same game just in a different universe is 4 chapters 3 missions each so 12 missions. Only pve multiplayer and I have 24 hours in so far and just recently beat the campaign. I barely just scratched the surface when it comes to completing everything and leveling up all my stuff. I imagine this is going to be very very similar and I love it
It’s not. Ridiculous asking price for such ‘foundational’ content as the reviewer himself says.. And yes, like the other 40ks, it’s an amazing, high quality experience.. for a couple of sessions, until you’ve played all the missions and know every twist and turn, every wave and encounter and what to expect.. and you just naturally drop off, craving variety elsewhere.
The Dawn of War series (the first one...) helped me out a lot, but left a lot of open questions. Honestly if you're curious, just get on the wiki pages. Just don't go down the rabbit holes...You'll get lost in the Eye of Terror! The lore is larger than the BattleTech universe (Mechwarrior).
Dawn of war series, Gothic Armada series, my favourite right now Darktide is also a good place to start. Now space Marine 2 is a good start. I recommend to do wikipages and if you’re not a reader, UA-cam has some great content creators who will explain it and breakdown stuff for you. (Cadia Stands! Cadia Lives!)

Hey, so huge 40K fan, I actually play the table top as the Black Templar. I use their rules rather and I made up my own lore for my army that I named “The Rising Sons” But to really get into it my go to start is if you like to read, read the Eisenhorne omnibus it’s the three stories combined. It’s more of a detective story since he’s an Inquisitor. But it gives you a great overview of the world. Space Marine stories are so much fun though, but to get into the world start with Eisenhorn that’s a great way to get what the world is like for Mankind, from there you can read some Guard novels, Rouge Trader stuff Sisters of Battle too! THEN get into the Space Marines. I’d also recommend reading some of the different chapters of marines so like Ultramarines, Dark Angels, Blood Angels, Black Templar, Imperial Fists. Each chapter has their own unique ways of fighting so that will also help out a lot in just seeing how expansive the world is. May even give you ideas on what you want your armor to look like in multiplayer 😊 If you’re still hooked then! Start reading the like 54 book series “The Horus Heresy” it’s basically like the prequel Star Wars of 40K it’s HOW everything became what it became. It’s when the Emperor was doing things more, when he was talking to his sons, making laws and such. But those tales take on more so the Space Marine being the main story characters. So to get an idea of the world better to start at the low level, work your way up to space marines then read the time of legend so to speak.

My advice for getting into Warhammer is simple: get some miniatures you think are cool, look up some painting tutorials, and listen to an audiobook while you play. You can also get the Dawn of War games if you want a rundown of what the factions are about. Personally I think that the best factions to get into for painting are Chaos Space Marines and the various Xenos (Especially Tau)! There are some great sets to get started with like the combat patrols, and, if you decide to go with Chaos Space Marines, I suggest watching a bunch of lore videos about the various Chaos gods and the characters/units associated with them.

"For Courage and Honor!" ~ Finished the game today around 12-15 hours. It's my first time to play Warhammer 40K and I suddenly became a fan boy right away!
How is that even remotely "predatory"? If you wanna pay a little extra you get a season pass and you get to play 4 days early. If you had already planned on getting the season pass then you're saving a few bucks on top. Nobody is forcing you to spend the extra money. This isn't new and it isn't "predatory". Grown adults can choose for themselves if they wanna buy the other editions. And it's $30 more for gold which has the early access, not $40. Again, that's the usual price for season passes.
After beating all that can be beat on all difficulty’s I gotta say… this is possibly the best game I’ve played in years. I went into this game knowing nothing of warhammer, die hard halo fan but this game has changed my views on this genre of gaming ❤

Hey, so huge 40K fan, I actually play the table top as the Black Templar. I use their rules rather and I made up my own lore for my army that I named “The Rising Sons”
But to really get into it my go to start is if you like to read, read the Eisenhorne omnibus it’s the three stories combined. May even give you ideas on what you want your armor to look like in multiplayer 😊
If you’re still hooked then!

Orcs made a sequel to the game about killing orcs, but they felt bad about killing their kind, so they replaced orcs with tyranids, lol.
The Ciaphas Cain books are what got me into Warhammer. I recommend it for newer people because it's easier to consume the vast lore with an enjoyable character.
5:03 Say goodbye to that $20 Adsense check.
Yup
Feels like a 1 and done play, sure there are other modes but I don't think theres enough there.
Thank you!! I’m excited to play it but don’t have desire to pay full price for this kind of game. I am glad people enjoying it but it will be even better in 6 months I’m sure and at $30
Might sound cliche but this just feels like a next gen xbox 360 game and I mean that in the best way possible. No micro transactions, (mostly, not everything can be perfect) completely experiences. A story mode and a pvp/pve mode. Almost makes me feel like I'm back in the gears of war era.
The Bulwark rips through all enemies. Bulwark and Vanguard are my favorite classes. Both are awesome with melee weapons.
This game will mess you up good if you think it’s gonna be a cake walk and pick the hardest difficulty during the tutorial.
I'm absolutely stuck on the reactor mission on vet...
12:09 - these guys have typically seen well over a human's lifetime of nonstop warfare, of course their faces are tired
Warhammer isn't called 40k because thats the year its called 40k because thats how much debt it puts you in
"For Courage and Honor!" ~ Finished the game today around 12-15 hours. It's my first time to play Warhammer 40K and I suddenly became a fan boy right away!
Them doing the 4 day early stuff for an extra 40$ is predatory as hell.
Industry standard now unfortunately :(
it's 100 bucks plus tax Canadian for a 10 hour campaign. i would never buy full price.
For The Emperor!
A c-tier god, honestly. Sigmar, on the other hand.
It’s a nice looking game but I’m finding myself getting bored of it already and I’ve only played it for 2 days now.
After beating all that can be beat on all difficulty’s I gotta say… this is possibly the best game I’ve played in years. I went into this game knowing nothing of warhammer, die hard halo fan but this game has changed my views on this genre of gaming ❤
i guess im copping it td, ive been hearing sum good stuff from you guys 😆
Helldivers 2 devs watching this saying, “I wonder what we would nerf first…”
10hrs game play isn't bad, some COD is way less than that...
10 hrs for £60 isnt worth it so im happy campaign isnt the only thing in the game
Put in an idea into their forum about letting us have duplicate classes in operations. Please give it a bump
Maxed Out Native 4k@60fps+ on a OLED is Nucking Futz 😂💯 This game is CRAZY
8 HOUR CAMPAIGN, THEN COD STYLE MULTIPLAYER. NOT WORTH MY 75 DOLLARS. BUT HEY THATS MY OPINION
