    Hi I just got the Mytee lite 8070. I just wanted to know if I'm supposed to put in any Cleaning product in the water to clean the seats and carpet or do I not need to use any cleaning product with this extractor.

      Up to you! You can pre spray areas with chemicals and rinse them out with clean water or add a low-foam solution to your clean water tank, just make sure whatever you use doesn't create too much foam in the waste tank

    Great quick overview of this machine. A few questions on the machine though……..
    1) Can you use tap water that is on a softener system;
    2) What de-foaming solution is best and is that placed in the water tank or recovery tank;
    3) When done with a job, can you clear the lines of the water by simply engaging the wands trigger to empty out the remaining water or does that have the potential of burning up the pump;
    4) And lastly, to winterize the machine can RV grade antifreeeze be ran through the system?

    • @myteeproducts
      @myteeproducts  Рік тому

      Thank you!
      1) Yes!
      2) We don't have any official rec's for brand but either powder or liquid will do. We put it in the recovery tank when we use ours but some cleaners prefer to put it inside the vacuum hose or sprinkle the powder direct onto the surface they are cleaning, this is fine also. We wouldn't add it to the clean water tank.
      3) It's a good idea to trigger tools at the end of jobs to release any built up pressure before disconnecting the tool from the machine, but this won't clear 100% of water out. You do want to avoid running the pump dry, if it sucks in air bubbles it may need to be force-primed when ready to run again.
      4) Absolutely!

      This is the appropriate size carpet wand to pair with the 8070, though we recommend using it only for small areas or spot removal. If you need to do large wall to wall carpeted areas we suggest a full size extractor like our speedsters www.mytee.com/products/8390-ez-single-jet-carpet-cleaning-wand/

    @Mytee I know the order of buttons to turn them on, pump, heat then vacuum. What Im wondering is Do I turn the switches off then in the reverse order , turning the pump off last? Also, Do I have to turn the machine off to refill the solution tank and dump the recovery tank? And also, How long can I have the heat and Pump turned on before it hurts the machine? I would really like some answers and I know you can help me. Thank you!

    • @myteeproducts
      @myteeproducts  2 роки тому +4

      1. Order you switch them off does not matter, you can turn them all off at once even. 2. The vacuum needs to be off when dumping the recovery tank, but the heater and pump can stay on 3. Quite a long time, the heater has a thermostat that will prevent it from overheating. Basically while they can't just be left on indefinitely, it wouldn't be something you would need to worry about when used normally and shut off at the end of use

      We recommend using just plain water inside the mytee lite to act as a rinse for chemicals applied as a pre-spray. If you do wish to use a solution inside your unit, we reccomend you only use low/non foaming chems.

    Hi there, great video, but I still have a couple questions that I can't seem to find answers to (sorry if they sound silly).
    1) You said it's not recommended to put powder based solutions in the solution tank; but I want to put down a powder based solution into the mattress, and use this machine to rinse it off. Would that be okay, or would that not be recommended?
    2) What temperature water did you put into the solution tank? Can I use hot or cold water; or is there a better temperature? Can I use tap water?
    3) I want to use it for larger mattresses, does the 4 foot upholstery tool attach to the longer vacuum and solution hoses?
    4) For a few items, I need to use cold water to rinse it off. Can I use this machine with just the pump and the vacuum, without engaging the heating system, or does it only run hot water extraction?
    5) This one seems extra silly, but can I adjust the amount of pressure with the water spray trigger, or is it fixed?
    Looking forward to hearing back!

    • @myteeproducts
      @myteeproducts  7 місяців тому

      Thanks for the questions, happy to answer them!
      1. That is fine! The powder solutions can leave sediment in your pump that may affect it, but with this method it does not go through the pump so it is okay.
      2. We use warm to hot water from a sink for best results from the heater but any temperature water can be used up to 140ºF. Higher than that may damage the pump. Tap water is just fine, but if you have harder water you will need to descale your machine more frequently.
      3. The 4 inch upholstery tool included with the machine can be used with a longer hose yes. The 15' included is enough for most applications, but up to 25' of hose can be effectively used with this unit.
      4. This unit can function without the heater engaged and operate otherwise normally as a cold water machine.
      5. In this unit the PSI can not be adjusted.

    I thought in the manual it says to use defoamer in the recovery tank and not the solution tank

    • @myteeproducts
      @myteeproducts  2 роки тому

      The important distinction is whether it is a liquid defoamer or powdered. We do not recommend putting any type of powder-defoamer, detergent, or anything else-in the clean tank as it can lead to issues down the line with build up inside the pump. Liquid defoamer is fine to use in your clean solution tank though, and powdered defoamer can be effective if put directly into the recovery tank, so it never ends up going through the pump.
