Thanks for supporting nonetheless!!
@@AaronsEnduro For sure man, appreciate the advice! Just picked up an SDG speed mini for $50 that was tucked away in the back of the warehouse at the dealership I work at, so I've been looking into what to do to turn it into a proper Hoon ready machine. Just needs a new carb to run well which is on the way and some studs for the tires for the ice, any other advice for old neglected pit bikes? Already drained the fuel and oil
@@TheKilodaneko hell yeah! Sound sick!
The seat strap is a great idea. Never thought about that before. Great video
Its a life saver !! Thanks man
Thank you so much! Great video needed this, probably gonna buy a lot of the things mentioned! Appreciate it :)
Glad i could offer some guidances! Link to products can be found in the description at their time stamps! And all the parts i use are below that!! Enjoy!
Excellent video. I will do the sprocket upgrade for sure
Its a must do upgrade!!!
New sub here. I appreciate the good information you’re putting out.
Thanks for the feedback!!!
U deserve a lot more subs bro just recently came across your channel as I'm about to get my first pitbike
Thanks for the support buddy!! If you need a hand with the bike let me know by leaving a comment on any video!
nice video as always
Thanks friend!
Good video pal
Thanks!
A little added tip on glue and plastics they actually make a product called Q bond, it's 2 parts, one black powder and one liquid you put powder on then drop some of the setting liquid on top and it instantly sets rock solid like a new layer of plastic, it's great stuff and only cheap 👍🏻 look it up
Definitely will take a look at that! Can always use more tools in my arsenal! Thanks for the input!
I just thought I would Learn a bit before I bought one and I think I’m ready
Glad i could help! Thanks for watching!
My son has an SSR110 and I put a shockwears for a raptor700 on the rear shock to keep mud and junk out of the shock
Smart thinkin!!
Aaron... love the videos. Did you upgrade your bike chain? If so... what size? I just picked up an x18 and picking up a second as well. One has Mikuni already... need to do that for the other. Looking to upgrade chains as well since I hear they stretch. Any suggestions would be great!
Yes i did upgrade my bike chain! 428-120link ! Should have the chains linked in the description
Lemme grab you a link for a chain

@@AaronsEnduro Saw the list after posting. Thanks for the specific size. Is it hard to swap? Love the resources. These bikes are a great entry point and an opportunity for my son and I to learn how to work on them. Thanks again!
Super easy! I show you how to remove it in this video: ua-cam.com/video/jYjbvYMG21s/v-deo.html
Do you think a yz 65 or yz 85 engine can be adapted to that per bike ?
Honestly not sure, but that would be friggen sick!!
@@AaronsEnduro it would be great to ride a haci machine but I think it would not be legal
Likely haha
How late is too late to add an hour odometer??! I fucked up and kept forgetting and forgetting to order one..was keeping track of my time but lost that as well when I started racing
Its never too late!
O-ring chain is the best then an X-Ring and then the regular
Do u know the size of the pin that holds the foot pegs to the mount on the Apollo?
Lemme go measure the one on my bike for you ( if its possible)
7.5mm
@@AaronsEnduro thanks a lot I’ve watched a lot of your videos on the Apollo I’m gonna subscribe to your channel.
Appreciated! Thanks for watching!
WD to clean then chain lube with you favorite flavor lube
Noted thanks
I use chainsaw bar and chian oil on my bike chains.
That works too! Lube is lube!
Here's a tip for practice get two paper plates put one between each knee and lean against your bike and see how long you can go without dropping it helps you keep your knees tight against your bike
Never heard that one before!
Do u go on long rides and if u do do u bring extra fuel
Ill go on 6-8 hour rides. Never bringing extra fuel, never worried about it

You know where I can buy air filter with nipple for 125cc tao
Junk the nipple stuff
@@AaronsEnduro what you mean
Get a good filter without the hose
Can I add a filter with out it or need one because theres a hose plugged in the top
You dont need the hose . Delete the whole thing its connected too
Try sc1 by maxima amazing they call it new bike in a can
Sweet okay thanks!
It makes plastics like new again I spray the whole bike it's not oily either so dirt doesn't stick to where you spray
The only downside is a bit pricey looking about 10 to $11 a can
Sick!
Lol the passenger side of the bike...
Dry spray Wax lube not that much dirt sticks to your chain check it out dry lube
Bro chain lube is a myth I don't work look at the manufacturers recommendations for chain maintenance
gear oil!! the best chain lube.
What ever gets it done haha
rear wheel bearing moved inside the hub
Yepp
All the new bikes have levers that bend back even the gear shift
Nope
My 2020 klx doesn’t
@@AaronsEnduro I was talking about the new pit bikes the ones I've been looking at
Well goddamn.
Sheeeesh
you look like cameron neimala
The amount of times ive been told this is unreal hahaha
Higher octane fuel alone will do nothing for the performance of an engine that's not designed for it!
Mechanic's Note: If your dirt bike or ATV engine is tuned to run at a higher octane you'll need to invest in higher octane fuel. For example, a higher compression piston could cause the fuel to detonate (causing knocking) rather than burn which affects performance. Check the owner's manual. Most non-ethanol based fuel is rated at 90 octane and recommended for Motocross bikes.
One type of gas to avoid, if at all possible, is ethanol-based. Yes, it is difficult nowadays to find gas that's not corn fed especially in certain parts of the country or during a specific time of year. If you have a choice, pay extra or go out of your way for straight-up gas, otherwise it's OK to use the ethanol-based. It works just fine and won't hamper performance. However, we advise NOT using an ethanol concentration above 10 percent.
The big concern using ethanol-based fuel is corrosion. Ethanol attracts moisture which overtime corrodes vital engine parts. Therefore, burn off all ethanol-based fuel in the tank, drain the tank or add a fuel stabilizer if left in the tank for long periods. Ethanol-based fuel eventually gels and clogs the jets.
This guy uses a lot of blasmephy he must have read catcher in the rye.
Sounds like something I had read in high school
@@AaronsEnduro well if you start wanting to kill Ronald Reagan or John Lennon it's because of the book!
Only 30 houers and blowed up don't need one of these bikes!
You’re not wrong lol
you think your sick my dargs jls wid me
You only got 30 miles out of your pit bike before it died I don't get it
30 hours not miles
Not on a fucking rfz
Ha. Ha ha. Omg hahahahahahahaha. I could only make it to the hand guards which no pitbike on the planet should ever have on it. Btw that wire on the hour meter is simply just a wire. It dose not ground anything all it dose is sense the pulse of each high voltage discharge of the coil via magnetic field and there not that important to have if like you mentioned you do your service work at the correct intervals. Key word there is correct and not what the manufacturer says.
those tips are all great but you sound like you beat the shit out of your bike, maybe if it was treated better it wouldn't need all these "must haves" lol
I ride this bike harder than 99% ever ride period. So thats fair to say, but i also am apart of a community of 3000 apollo riders who also say these are pretty necessary mods
My bike also gets looked over and well kept. Im a mechanic and care for ky equipment more than most people do. Does that change the fact i ride this bike hard asf, nope. So yeah I expect it to break the way i ride
@@AaronsEnduro hmm fair enough, i too am a mechanic, modern and vintage bikes, cars, and diesel, and well i just thought you'd care more, i have an apollo aswell and its a great rider for the price
I care about my bike and maintain it after every ride. I just ride this thing way beyond what it was intended for. I bring friends on trails with 10000$ ktms that dont wanna try where im taking them lol
@@AaronsEnduro really? huh, thats pretty impressive honestly, sorry for the false accusations, honestly i might be getting a second one for my sister soon, any recommendations for anything else not in your video? she wanted the x18 and shes 27 yet tiny lol, she wont know to change the carburetor but any tips on adjusting the mixture on the stock carb maybe?
That was a 125 pit bike and you're telling me you almost hit a hundred I don't believe you sorry
U ever heard of km/h?
Please don’t say gd
tip #1 to make your pitbike faster- sell your pit bike and buy a bigger bike? pit bikes are perfect for the paddock but bad for the bush because their fuel tanks are too small
I’ve got wd40 chain wax
