The Series S is my first true Xbox console. It’s not really my first choice of playing games but it’s great as a side console for me. Still can’t get over how small this is
PS5 & Series S First Xbox console that gives me access to 4 generations of Xbox with gamepass. Too good to pass up especially for the refurbished price of £150
@@TJaeSpeaks A ps5 isn’t backwards capable up to 4 generations. A ps5 is only capable to one generation. An Xbox series S and X is capable from next gen games all the way to original Xbox games.
I got one for Prime Day, open box with a three game bundle, along with the additional 20% off, it came out to $180. My son's playing Minecraft on it as I write this. If you're on a budget, it's completely worth it.
News just in Starfield runs at 1440p 30fps on series s with only 1-2fps drops in the heaviest area in the game. This is seriously impressive for the series s
It's a lot better than people say or think,SSD size is small but the 1tb version is coming soon, either way it's a good buy if your happy with digital content.
I just got a Series S 2 days ago. I love it, the only concern I have is how hot it gets. I'm willing to chalk that up to the games I play though. Open world/sandbox survival games are kinda demanding sometimes. But if the Series S makes Ark run without crashing (unlike my PS4 Pro) then it's A-OK in my book. Graphic snobs will always be dissatisfied, so their opinions are irrelevant. Know whats not irrelevant though? Saving 200 bucks.
I got mine this Christmas and yes, it does get hot compared to previous ones. It's still cold however when compared to my PC. I think technology s a whole has gotten hotter but as long as you give it good air flow and it cools ok with no performance drop, you are good. Just keep the are around the fans clear and dust free
One thing I can say after owning it for 3 years now: very great machine for being the smallest console ever, VERY portable, Great low budget price, and if you have pair this console with a nice looking 1440p gaming monitor in your setup, you pretty much have your own ultimate gaming setup which i have and I absolutely love it! I got the 2TB Seagate expansion SSD as well and it’s amazing!
this is my first xbox. My previous game system was Nintendo back in 1989. You read that right. This system is amazing. I waited for years to throw down the money for a gaming system. Still, It's weird to wait hours for a game to download and i dont like that the console gets hot, but the games are amazing. Kids today are so spoiled!
I'm planning on getting an xbox series s mostly because of the price and the fact that it is a next-gen console. I really want to play games such us jedi survivor, mortal kombat 1 and robocop rogue city all of which are not available on a last-gen console. Not only that but the game pass library of games looks really promising.
I enjoy the Series S, I had a PS4 before it and I wanted to try next gen but didn’t have a lot of money so I got the Series S. However now, I want to get a PS5 because they have the games, the PS5 will probably be my main console moving forward and I’ll use the Series S for gamepass
Never thought of it that way. The Series S slows down game development progress for developers as you can see with Baldur's gate 3, but it's purpose could be exactly what you plan to use it for.
Looking back, I might have been as satisfied with the Series S as i am with the series x. The only real thing I would have disliked is the 500gb hard drive.
I see what you say about limitations as games grow but you've got to be realistic and it comes down to cost for more powerful hardware, only the hardcore gamers will buy the more expensive consoles,The psvr 2 won't sell very well with the cost of it,a ps5 pro or series x elite could cost 700 easy,it's not a great idea,if you want the best possible gaming experience then it's a high end pc and pay the price, for most people consoles have to be affordable and high end consoles won't sell as well at high prices.
To your claim about LG C1 owners looking elsewhere- I have that TV and games rendered in 1080p or even 900p still look fantastic from couch distance. Also, that TV has VRR which makes lower frame rates a better experience than a locked 60hz TV. Cheers
As a PC gamer, having a Series S is really nice. Being able to play a game on game pass on my PC, then boot it up on my Series S and continue with the same save file is great, instead of either lugging my pc to my tv or running a long HDMI.
I have the series s. Used to have an original Xbox which was cool, and later an Xbox one which I later traded on a ps4. But that said the series s is a great little console. Got it during the shortages when it was about the only next gen console you could get. Wouldn’t mind a series x, but may go for ps5 later in the year.
I have a bunch of consoles, a high end PC and a Steam Deck, but the Series S I find is perfect in my living room. I really mainly use it for Netflix, Amazon Prime, UFC Fight Pass, etc. but also have a bunch of good indie games on it, so they're not massive file size wise, and play really well. I won't be bothering to play games like Starfield on it though, as I have an X and PC for that. Highly recommend the S though, especially for the price.
@@ParanormalExplorer Living room TV is a few years old, UFC Fight Pass doesn't work on it. Didn't buy it for streaming videos specifically, bought it to have a cheap console in the living room, but all the apps like Amazon and Netflix are far nicer to navigate on an Xbox than on a smart TV (in my experience)
As a playstation gamer i bought a series s mainly for exclusives like Halo, Hi Fi Rush, Forza and Starfield. So far i really like it and its cheap so big win.
With the insane size and cost of the PS5, I doubt I'll ever be interested in getting one, even if it does end up keeping the Final Fantasy games exclusive (which does kind of suck, since I love FF). Series S seems like by far the best option for next-gen games if/when there becomes a lot of them. My only problem with it is that no current disc drive ability at all means that I can't take advantage of used game prices, which is a shame. That's a lot of money wasted on digital-only games that may be $50-60 cheaper used (unless we get some very nice sales). I guess there is game pass instead, but eh.
Worst thing about the PS5 for me is Sony’s greed. And ultimately it was what made me decide against buying a PS5 and going back to Xbox. 80$ a year just to be able to play online is an absolute joke. On Xbox it costs me half that, and you even get to play way more and better free games. I don’t play many games, but I do play a lot online and the yearly subscriptions do add up.
as someone whose had it since release year and loves the console, im just gonna say no. The black 1tb edition is gonna be coming soon and the #1 downside to the series s has to be its storage capacity (seriously it’s genuine pain). Even then I’d really urge everyone to just spend the bit extra on the xbox series X , it’s my only regret really but at the time the X was widely unavailable and scarce. For the price tho, the series s didn’t disappoint me but the xbox series x is just better bang for your buck for the better graphics, viable lifespan in terms of games being developed for it , and 1tb storage. Also in terms of graphics, My roommate had a series X and he’d game next to me and you could definitely see graphical differences. Although , for the price the series s does look astonishing on a 4k tv, this is considering you’ll be sitting farther away so naturally your eyes can’t discern the jagged edges and slightly blurrier textures. bascially don’t get the S unless your a fairly causal gamer who: - doesn’t care ab graphics - doesn’t need that much storage / is willing to buy the external storage for $150 - uses a tv to game / sits further away from screen while gaming - is looking for a cheap way to get into next gen gaming (just understand it comes with a cost, you’ll likey need to upgrade much sooner than you think) - needs a small form factor console which is easily portable
Starfield is a weird one tbh. They decided to keep the game at a locked 30 fps cuz they think it suits the game style. The x at 4k Res and the series s an impressive 1440p. I think that's mighty impressive for the s. Even if it's a dynamic 1440p. It's all down to how much of a resolution snob someone is. If they can handle 1080p on most games instead of 4k then the s is great. Insane value too. I think it'll stick about and it already has a good fan base. Like people routing for the underdog due to its lack of power and size.
It's not the game style, it's the bottleneck. From what we have seen the CPU is the bottleneck and if so that doesn't get better by lowering the resolution anyway.
Fallout 4 ran at 30 fps on xbox one and I never cared. Unless it dips or has huge variation, the framerate isn't an issue at all for me. I judge gameplay first
Bethesda is crap at optimization, they instead focus on packing in features and marketing. Game feel and performance are not on their agenda. Not something I'd blame current gen hardware for. Supposedly Cod warzone 2 can run 120hz on a series s, with 100s of players... I don't think Bethesda has much of an excuse besides sketchy management and mid code quality.
I'm sure it's not because of they think it suits the game style. Just optimization. But agreed if someone don't care more than 1080p or 30 FPS it's really good already
The series S is the first Xbox console I bought. Was around for the original but always had other systems at home. I’m surprised at how much this thing stands shoulder to shoulder w the stronger hardware on the market. For the budget it’s a really great value. I also bought a 4TB external hard drive for around $120 and when the internal memory runs out I can quickly and easily transfer them to the drive until I want to play them again. It’s a nice solution for students, families on a budget, or anyone who wants to get into gaming today without breaking the bank
I liked the series s, till I saw 900p in new AAA games. It’s just way too blurry for me. After I got used to 1440p and 4K I can’t even go back to 1080p.
Great review!! I was planning on getting the 1 TB Xbox series S when it comes out or later on this year because they’re a lot of old games on Xbox I can’t play on my PS5
I just bought the same version and i was able to use my credits I was awarded for reaching a company milestone. So in my book I'm getting this console for free. And the console was very much needed as I had to replace my Xbox One S HDD with an SSD last weekend because it had failed. Thanks for the video. Subscribed and liked.
I still recommend watching the vid but for people who don't wanna watch the whole vid . The Xbox series s is a game pass power house it's not as powerful as the series x and you won't have 4k and ray tracing is limited to some games. But you will be able to play all the same games. I highly recommend if you're wanting to jump to the next generation of Xbox or if you're a playstation fan wanting to try the waters of what Xbox has the series s with (game pass optional) is a great first step into this generation. Bonus you can practically take it anywhere it is smaller than a laptop length wise depending on what kind you have
Dude I bought one of these like 2years ago great console small, powerful, great graphics, can play multiple games at once, I think it handles 120 fps I loved it. hey man im on the lookout for a new gaming console for my younger brother and it will be his first ever gaming console. is the xbox series a s a good fit that would last for another 4 years atleast while also being able to run games like fortnite, apex and cod, and will it be a good fit for him considering he is 13 and only plans to game to chill and have fun with friends but wants to do it comfortably with no lag, Is the Xbox series s a good fit for all that/
There are pros and cons Pros: You can play any current gen game with decent graphics. It as a SSD Wich makes everything faster It doesn't consume as much power Its small It can play games you to 1440p Can reach 120fps. Cons: Really small storage space, if you have warzone and cyberpunk installed you're left with 30gb space lol Although the quality is decent the console isn't actually capable of running game on native 1440p, it will always be a upscaling that it's not quite the same If you're thinking about buying one I advice you to buy the new series s that just came out that as 1tb storage, it's a bit more expensive but worth it. In the end it's a great console capable of running even phantom liberty with good looking graphics, to me it's not worth it buying a series x, I'll just stick with my series s and use the PC to run l game on higher res.
Exactly I had a X and sold to a friend and bought a S for cheap wasnt that huge of a difference in graphics to justify the price of a X and I was running on a 55 LG C1 Oled
series S is really amazing. i bought mine for 200 euros from ebay from a guy who used it only a couple of times. the small sise is really amazing. you can pack it up and bring everywhere and no matter how little space you have it fits everywhere and weighs absolutly nothing. paired up with game pass you basicly have unlimited games in amazing quality and almost no load times. i switched from xbox one to series S and it cut my load times from 1-2 minutes to 20-30 seconds on civ 6. only problem was after intense use it good too hot but an external 30 euro cooling fan off amazon fixed the problem instantly. the console is amazing for people who already build a big online library and or pair it with gamepass. downside low storage so you have to delete alot or buy an ssd. no cd intake so you cant buy and use hard copies and sometimes digital game costs 60 dollars but only 20 dollars used on ebay.
I got mine for $239 a few months ago! For that price it's worth it! I then got the 1TB expansion card for $140. The new black version should come with 2TB for $349. The new one is not worth $349 for 1TB.
I already have a ps5, but I go out a lot and sometimes we stay somewhere for really long and its hard taking my ps5 with me, so I thought I could get the series S so when I go out maybe, I can actually take it with me without struggling. Any owners here think its a good idea?
As a owner of both x and s I highly recommend if you are going to be taking it with you anywhere it is a amazing choice as depending what kind of laptop you have the Xbox series s can be smaller length wise and as a whole it's a great choice to jump into the Xbox environment if you want to read my comment on this vid I gave a better example of my recommendation
While I like the design of the series S there are a couple of things that are worrying me: The storage, and the only way to expand it is through the expansion cards that they provide which with it’s price will be near the series X if not in its price range. I understand that there’s a 1 TB version coming out on the first of September but maybe I like the white color more. Second thing is its gpu, will this device could live up until the new generation or it could be stopped in the middle?
Well, I have on my SS 3 multi-player PvP games (Hunt Showdown, Insurgency Sandstorm, pre-installed The Texas Chain Saw Massacre), 2 AA/AAA games (Amnesia Rebirth, Gears of War 2 (old game, but still AAA)) and I have space enough to install Starfield. Even after Starfield instalation I'll have around 70 Gb of free space and I'm planning to spend it on Witcher 3 and a few indie games. And of course, all depends on games you want to play. If you want to install a lot of games which weigh +100Gb, 500 Gb SSD is not enough. I think SS will handle all current gen new games, some of them you'll be able to play only in 30 fps quality mode. But still. Personally for me the biggest advantage of this console is a price and its portability. I can fit it in my laptop bag with laptop and some clothes.
Funny I was considering a used s just to play starfield this sept. Love my ps5 but starfield looks insane. Todd Howard says the game looks great on the series s. Interesting.
I got one in December of last year and as someone who hasn't gamed since the n64 I think it's a good deal and I really enjoy it and I think you need to get game pass
opinion needed. I do not have a 4k tv, its 1080p. is there a MAJOR graphic difference between series x and series s? And are any of the consoles going away like are they gonna stop making games for them
If you do have a 4K TV then the S will be fine. However, if you do plan to get a 4K TV within a year then I wouldn't get the console. The Series S is rated to go up to 1440p (2K), but the Series X can go up to 2160p (4K). Also the Series X has a disc drive and 1TB of storage rather than the 512GB in the Series S. Microsoft isn't going to stop making games for the Series S, but it does handicap developers who are having many issues developing for it. Keep in mind that the console potential is to hit 1440p at 60 fps (although it go to 120) with ray tracing. Alot of games are only hitting 1080p at 30fps without ray tracing on the Series S.
I got my hands on one locally in my area for $70 it was only used a few times according to the seller I got it from and I can confirm this because I put new thermal paste on it because I never liked the thermal paste that comes on the console from the factory & it was super clean inside. even if I buy the memory expansion I will be a good bit under msrp.
I have the Xbox S even since it came out and I think it’s time to upgrade. All my games I play are bought through Microsoft store so if the series S runs the same as the series X I should just get it
I have a question Sir, I never owned a Xbox. Was a PS1/2/3/4 guy. But I wanna buy a Xbox Series S used for 150 € with controller and games. Because the online gaming is free on Xbox. Is it good for the money, or should I rather wait and get the Series X. Is it that much difference while playing between Series S and X? Sorry for my English, I am from Bosnia.
get the S totally worth it unless your some type of graphical snob personally i didnt see that huge of difference between that and a X and I was running it on a oled lg and for the form factor and power it produce its a go also can double as a media player as well and for that price u can always resell personally if i bought for 150 and sold 3 months later for 50 less than payed just to move quick u could get it all back I would feel like i got 50 worth of use out of it @@donself7982
Cant lie more than 95 percent of gamers spend 50k a year minimum on gaming and 95 percent or all gamers have soooo ultra good setups and they have ultra good skill which is so dope
I have a 2tb external hard drive which I used on my xbox one for the longest time. Having recently got the series s, it's a good storage mule now which I don't mind. Transferring games before playing isn't all that stressful, usually takes around 10 to 15 minutes.
Great review. I've owned the PS5 since Feb 2021 and the Series S since Jan 2022. Both experiences have been overall very positive. I will say this though, the Series S really surprised me still to this day. I knew what I was getting with the PS5. Considering the significantly lower price point with the Series S, it packs an insane punch. One thing I disagree with in your video is the longevity of the console. The X and PS5 are both just beginning to have their hardware properly utilized for current gen game development and while yeah the most recent AAA titles won't run tip top on the Series S it still can run them perfectly fine albeit comprises made. Also, the console has an ENORMOUS catalogue of games that run like butter on the console. And it runs them wayyyyy better than the previous gen could ever do.
I agree with you, but with an asterisk * - we're at a weird point in gaming where things are becoming more demanding, but there's also software/ hardware out there to help, like DLSS, FSR, etc. And engines, like Unreal 5 being able to use photogrammetry and work with polygons smarter than more commonly used engines to this day freeing up some of the load on the hardware. That being said though, it's not very often we see this taken into effect, and with something like Star Field, I am genuinely curious as to how this game is going to play. We know that the "4K" resolution from starfield on the Series X is being upscaled from 1296p. So it's not native by any means. This is quite concerning as we're just about to hit 3 years into the consoles life cycle, or the "half-way" point, and instead of seeing titles better utilize the hardware, we're seeing Bethesda (a first party dev) struggling to make this game perform at a 30FPS cap. Obviously this is a one-off, but this is "The Xbox Game" to date. And yes, catalogue is nuts. I love that I'm even able to play backwards compatible games all the way down to the original Xbox, it really breathes a lot of life into this console when looking for something to mess around in and kill some time! :)
@@valismind I'm pretty sure Bethesda said the 30 FPS cap with Starfield was an "Artistic Choice" with the direction of the game. Idk if that's truth or them BS'ing there inability to get 60 FPS. 🤷♂️
I just got one as I have a newborn baby so sitting at my desk sweating FPS’s isn’t really my thing anymore. I’ve connected it to my living room TV and if he is asleep, I’ll play a bit to keep me busy. I have a 120hz 4k TV but couldn’t justify the price hike to the series X.
I'm thinking about buying a Series S as a tertiary console. I main PS5, Switch for exclusives and a mid tier laptop for stuff like Factorio, Oxygen Not Included and CRPG's. Are these games: Lamplighters league State of Decay 2 Sunset Overdrive Everwild TBA Ori 1/2 Valheim Starfield Rare replay The Gunk Gears Tactics Sea of Thieves Any potential good future Arkane games (aka Dishonored 3 or something) Potentially, the Indiana Jones game Redfall...I know it's bad, but I love Arkane and just to say I've played it. Worth buying one for? These are in order of interest with anything under Starfield mainly for just trying. Starfield also isn't my most anticipated game this year but I do like to give most big releases 20-40 hours if possible just because. (I would never buy a game here, so it's going to be entirely Gamepass based and I believe all or most of these are on that. (I REALLY want to play Lamplighters League, State of Decay 2 and Sunset Overdrive, my laptop isn't suitable for those) I have the Expendable money to buy one, I don't feel like it's worth it to buy a Series X though if it's not a main console (even though I don't get a bit picky when it comes to resolution and FPS, the main downsides to the Series S) and I could care less about the new Series S because I just don't install that much, plus I want the white console to go with PS5 and OLED Switch) Any suggestions would be much appreciated 👍
I don't understand why anyone would ever get a Series X. If you want to experience what Xbox is like, Series S is cheaper. If you want power, a PC is way superior, plus it can run MS Paint so that's an added bonus.
Because not everyone likes PC for gaming. I have one and I’m very conflicted on selling it. People like the console experience that works all the time no hassles, and has great visuals for a good price. A PC that actually matches the series X spec and performance wise no cuts if $2000+ AUD vs $750 of a series X
With the cost of storage, game purchases and / or subscriptions. The price difference between the X and S is probably not really that bad. The size of the Xbox Series S is the only real advantage.
If you want something you can carry around on trips in hotels, get the series s, if you want and can afford the series x then get it, disc drive, sotrage capacity, better graphics and performance, in the end it's prefrence, availability and price
I like the series s its a great little console for the price but The series s isnt great for running games to be honest i prefer the series x so i can play upcoming games at 60fps
Im on a buget should i buy a ps4 or x box series s because i want the new gen but i get 0.51 mbps so i was considering the ps4 caz i can buy physical games
I’m a PlayStation guy. But with the news that Bethesda games like Starfield, Skyrim and fallout will only be supported by Xbox and PC. Do I buy a series a now (since I have the money now) and wait for the games or just wait completely. Maybe wait for the black Xbox series X?
I have series x and ps5 and gaming pc and in past i had xbox series S co i can really tell ITS VERY GOOD CONSOLE! good performance. If you are,, gamer,, some hours per week series S IS best buy... Or if you travel best choice
My S series has a disc drive and 1 terabyte storage. I wanted the disc drive because I still have 360 games. I do use the seagate external storage device.
Great video, very informative. I have a PS5 and it is my prinary game consile but will probably pick up the S for Starfield. @@HumbledCookie yes,you can just buy the black 1tb series s but not until September the first which isn't long to wait now.
Keep it in sleeping position it won't heat up
@@mrshameles8148yes, this is exactly what I do.
Ive had it since launch and I use it everyday while leaving it turned on most of the time and it never throttled or got hot

Dang I was born in 88, parents fought over who played original Mario bros after we went to bed lol
I'm planning on getting an xbox series s mostly because of the price and the fact that it is a next-gen console. I really want to play games such us jedi survivor, mortal kombat 1 and robocop rogue city all of which are not available on a last-gen console. Not only that but the game pass library of games looks really promising.
I have a series S with the expansion card. Its fantastic. I have a PC so I use it for old games and game pass. It's a fantastic value.
I enjoy the Series S, I had a PS4 before it and I wanted to try next gen but didn’t have a lot of money so I got the Series S. However now, I want to get a PS5 because they have the games, the PS5 will probably be my main console moving forward and I’ll use the Series S for gamepass
Don’t abuse your parents like that 😅
Never thought of it that way. The Series S slows down game development progress for developers as you can see with Baldur's gate 3, but it's purpose could be exactly what you plan to use it for.

Xbox sucks for games
@@Pirategod23 Impossible. Without Xbox live, there would be no PSN.
Only real con is the storage issue but not really an issue if you have external drive. Just transfer back and forth.
Looking back, I might have been as satisfied with the Series S as i am with the series x. The only real thing I would have disliked is the 500gb hard drive.
You can always get an external one and format it
I'm really hoping to buy Xbox series S this coming Christmas. I really love this console, I think it's so underrated because of the PlayStation hype.
I will finally pull the trigger in buying my first Xbox console mainly due to Hi-Fi Rush & Starfield.
Thanks for the review! Buying tomorrow to play all the old cods 😂
That’s why I’m buying one too!! 😂
Legit got one for that 😂😂😂
COME TO THE DARK SIDE....
I feel left out, who's gonna buy for me😢
If you have a normal job it’s perfect with game pass, highly recommend👍
Just picked up the Series s I already have a PS5 and so far im very happy with the series S so far
The ps5 is nice. I just picked up the series s
Why buy a console for streaming videos when you can do all that on a smart tv?
@@ParanormalExplorer Living room TV is a few years old, UFC Fight Pass doesn't work on it. Didn't buy it for streaming videos specifically, bought it to have a cheap console in the living room, but all the apps like Amazon and Netflix are far nicer to navigate on an Xbox than on a smart TV (in my experience)
The movies on microsoft store are in 4k?
PS5 is my main choice for gaming, but I just purchased the black series S ! Gonna use it as a travel size halo machine lol
Literally what I use with mine 😂
I got the XScreen with it. It’s basically a gaming laptopnow
As a PS5 player I bought the S for Flight Sim, and its been fantastic. Now with Starfield next month its well worth the price tag.
Do you think the series s is worth it for Starfield? I’m a ps5 gamer and I’m thinking on getting the series s just for starfield
@@alexiiuuu10 I think so yeah, starfield will be a great game and it’s always good to have an Xbox that will be able to play it.
Getting one for starfield as well and halo looks great

as someone whose had it since release year and loves the console, im just gonna say no. Although , for the price the series s does look astonishing on a 4k tv, this is considering you’ll be sitting farther away so naturally your eyes can’t discern the jagged edges and slightly blurrier textures.
bascially don’t get the S unless your a fairly causal gamer who:
- doesn’t care ab graphics
- doesn’t need that much storage / is willing to buy the external storage for $150
- uses a tv to game / sits further away from screen while gaming
- is looking for a cheap way to get into next gen gaming (just understand it comes with a cost, you’ll likey need to upgrade much sooner than you think)
- needs a small form factor console which is easily portable
Lol it's not because of the game style. Otherwise, there would be a fps limit on pc as well. Just how naive are you?
Please bro can you help me... How fast does it take to transfer a game from a external drive to the Xbox... Is it worth it ?
@@rokopavicit’s pretty fast the transfer speed is around 600-800 mbps and Wi-Fi doesn’t affect it. Fortnite transfers in like a few mins

I liked the series s, till I saw 900p in new AAA games. It’s just way too blurry for me. After I got used to 1440p and 4K I can’t even go back to 1080p.
I'm glad you already got the heads up about the black upgraded version of Series S! 😊😊😊👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿
Bonus you can practically take it anywhere it is smaller than a laptop length wise depending on what kind you have

hey man im on the lookout for a new gaming console for my younger brother and it will be his first ever gaming console. is the xbox series a s a good fit that would last for another 4 years atleast while also being able to run games like fortnite, apex and cod, and will it be a good fit for him considering he is 13 and only plans to game to chill and have fun with friends but wants to do it comfortably with no lag, Is the Xbox series s a good fit for all that/
There are pros and cons
Pros:
You can play any current gen game with decent graphics.
It as a SSD Wich makes everything faster
It doesn't consume as much power
Its small
It can play games you to 1440p
Can reach 120fps.
Cons:
Really small storage space, if you have warzone and cyberpunk installed you're left with 30gb space lol
Although the quality is decent the console isn't actually capable of running game on native 1440p, it will always be a upscaling that it's not quite the same
If you're thinking about buying one I advice you to buy the new series s that just came out that as 1tb storage, it's a bit more expensive but worth it.
Just bought the xbox series s with 1TB of storage for $340 on amazon 😊
series S is really amazing. i bought mine for 200 euros from ebay from a guy who used it only a couple of times. the small sise is really amazing. you can pack it up and bring everywhere and no matter how little space you have it fits everywhere and weighs absolutly nothing. paired up with game pass you basicly have unlimited games in amazing quality and almost no load times. i switched from xbox one to series S and it cut my load times from 1-2 minutes to 20-30 seconds on civ 6. only problem was after intense use it good too hot but an external 30 euro cooling fan off amazon fixed the problem instantly. the console is amazing for people who already build a big online library and or pair it with gamepass. downside low storage so you have to delete alot or buy an ssd. no cd intake so you cant buy and use hard copies and sometimes digital game costs 60 dollars but only 20 dollars used on ebay.
100$ or €, for second hands, owning one isnt an issue
While I like the design of the series S there are a couple of things that are worrying me:
The storage, and the only way to expand it is through the expansion cards that they provide which with it’s price will be near the series X if not in its price range. I understand that there’s a 1 TB version coming out on the first of September but maybe I like the white color more.
Second thing is its gpu, will this device could live up until the new generation or it could be stopped in the middle?
Series X masterpiece
Microsoft promised the series s wont left out bcs series s is considered as current gen like series x
@@devillovexxx I started considering the series S, but I am going to wait for the 1TB version
Extension HD?

I’m thinking of buying an xbox series s, it’s an upgrade from my nintendo switch. Should I do it?
Sitting it next to my ps5 allowed me to realize what a powerhouse it is for a tiny little thing.
Depends on whether you are a casual who doesn't give a lot of attention on screen. If that's the case, Series S is fine. Otherwise don't.
It could be better, but I like how you can just put it in a backpack and take it wherever, it can fit anywhere too.
I’m considering buying this to play starfield and other future exclusives, would that be a good idea?
No
Christmas of 2021 me and my dad both got one and we love ours
I got my hands on one locally in my area for $70 it was only used a few times according to the seller I got it from and I can confirm this because I put new thermal paste on it because I never liked the thermal paste that comes on the console from the factory & it was super clean inside. even if I buy the memory expansion I will be a good bit under msrp.

I have the Xbox S even since it came out and I think it’s time to upgrade. All my games I play are bought through Microsoft store so if the series S runs the same as the series X I should just get it

I have a 2tb external hard drive which I used on my xbox one for the longest time. Having recently got the series s, it's a good storage mule now which I don't mind. Transferring games before playing isn't all that stressful, usually takes around 10 to 15 minutes.
HI Great Video, Where did you Purchase the Custom Controller ?? thanks

I work on cruiselines and this is perfect for my travel up and down very portable.
The series S is the best looking console I've ever owned. It's so small it can fit in your backpack but packs a punch.
So how will it work when I switch to this console from a Xbox one s, will all my current games be stored in my Xbox?
I'm thinking about buying a Series S as a tertiary console.
I main PS5, Switch for exclusives and a mid tier laptop for stuff like Factorio, Oxygen Not Included and CRPG's.
Are these games:
Lamplighters league
State of Decay 2
Sunset Overdrive
Everwild TBA
Ori 1/2
Valheim
Starfield
Rare replay
The Gunk
Gears Tactics
Sea of Thieves
Any potential good future Arkane games (aka Dishonored 3 or something)
Potentially, the Indiana Jones game
Redfall...I know it's bad, but I love Arkane and just to say I've played it.
(I REALLY want to play Lamplighters League, State of Decay 2 and Sunset Overdrive, my laptop isn't suitable for those)
I have the Expendable money to buy one, I don't feel like it's worth it to buy a Series X though if it's not a main console (even though I don't get a bit picky when it comes to resolution and FPS, the main downsides to the Series S) and I could care less about the new Series S because I just don't install that much, plus I want the white console to go with PS5 and OLED Switch)
Any suggestions would be much appreciated 👍
I'm thinking about pre ordering the new 1TB version coming September first, thoughts
The only reason I want to upgrade from my xbox one s is so I can play the new games on gamepass such as starfield and forza motorsport

is it worth getting a xbox s series and now i have a ps4 is it worth it?
I’m a PlayStation guy. But with the news that Bethesda games like Starfield, Skyrim and fallout will only be supported by Xbox and PC. Do I buy a series a now (since I have the money now) and wait for the games or just wait completely. Maybe wait for the black Xbox series X?
Thought I was the only
One that only bought physical games for switch digital for PlayStation and series s 🔥
I have series x and ps5 and gaming pc and in past i had xbox series S co i can really tell ITS VERY GOOD CONSOLE! good performance. If you are,, gamer,, some hours per week series S IS best buy... Or if you travel best choice
Should I get this console or the galaxy z fold 5
Got mines today along side my ps5 I’m mainly on ps but love game pass this does it for me
I literally bought it for how silent it is and its awesome
Not a single one of those games was exclusive. But jokes aside lived the video ☺️😍
I simply can’t miss Starfield.
Or Baldur’s Gate 3
My S series has a disc drive and 1 terabyte storage. I wanted the disc drive because I still have 360 games. I do use the seagate external storage device.
Great video, very informative. I have a PS5 and it is my prinary game consile but will probably pick up the S for Starfield.
I have an Xbox one but only use it as a streaming device these days and the cheaper option of the series s will be the right choice considering l won't be playing a lot of games on it.
Yeah sounds like a perfect combo for PS5 especially if you're only cared about some games
@@ulfricstormcloak7142 yeah l think so, l hadn't done a lot of research into the next gen Xbox until this week and didn't know much about the S.
Glad l saw this video and read the comments., It pretty much made up my mind. Hopefully Starfield runs well on the Series S.
@@jeritron74 bare in mind that they lock Starfield framerate to 30 FPS (1440p iirc) on Series S. If you're fine with that then go ahead
