Thanks for the review! All I need is an optical drive, huge storage space and a dope controller. The series x checks 2 of those boxes so im going to pick that one up. Lol. I'm sticking with my elite controller for sure though.
You know how dumb you have to be as a consumer to defend a console because eventually their will be games. Bruh, this is your hard earned money. Why would you purposely by a console that you yourself admits currently has nothing worth while for the future hope that Microsoft studio accusations will pay off. This is behind stupid. Would you pay for a streaming service for a year because they promised better content next year. This is just sad man. Best combo so far is a ps5 and a PC Xbox has done nothing to make their console stand out and worth buying. Of they did Sony fans wouldn't be sorry they would just by an Xbox.
Had my series s since it launched, been brilliant for what I’ve wanted it for, however I’ve literally just bought the series x as an upgrade so we will see how that goes and if there’s much difference once it arrives. I did consider the PS5 but I just can’t bring myself to get one as I’ve been Xbox since the very first console and I haven’t looked back!
probably getting the series s. i'm a laptop gamer and i wanted to upgrade my gaming experience so i'm going to build a gaming set up, revamp my room, get a pc and monitor, then an xbox and a tv hopefully in the next year
Costco is running a deal right now for Xbox series X with an extra controller for $449. I'm mainly just buying for the new college football game but I figure with that good of a deal to pass up?
Treated my myself to a Series S carbon black edition a few weeks ago after using a One S for many years. I don’t really need an X but I was hoping I didn’t make a mistake.. tbh I’m blown away by the series S! Wasn’t expecting the graphics to be any better but they are and as for the load times… wow I’m happy I got it!
I'm planning to buy Xbox Series S coz of Game Pass. It made gaming really affordable. I was planning to go for pc where piracy is possible but I thought that's kinda illegal and not fair so I have decided to buy Series S.
There's a game pass on pc as well. It's 9.99$ a month (so cheaper than on xbox since you can play online for free) and it has the same exact games. Go for a PC and get a controller as well, I promise you won't regret it. There's lots of games you're missing out on (like steam/epic games) and you can also mod your games. If your budget is really tight then series s isn't a bad choice, but for a bit more you can build a really great gaming pc with a RX 6600 that's just as performant
My issue is how vague Microsoft has been about the S. Sometimes I'll see something about how the S is gonna disappear, then later Microsoft makes a 1TB version of it. Why would they do that if they were gonna ditch it? Then the opinions of absolute nerds who make everything about the numbers, hard to tell what to do here. I want new gen, but I don't want a bunch of absolute nerds spewing out nunbers and parts at me. I'll just buy the S and tell everyone to suck it lol
If you care about absolute performance and resolution amd prefer physical media then get the seris x. If you just care about playing games not worrying about resolution and performance then get the series s. If you travel then get both. You can use the X as your home console and use the S as your travel console. Either way up to you
So if I only have 1080p TVs and monitors, is that reason enough to go for the S? What about framerate and graphics quality besides resolution? As for storage, the leaked new version of the S should have 1TB so that should be better...
I'm on the same boat as you. Only have a 1080p 24" monitor and a 1080p 40" TV. I barely use my TV so not willing to invest in a better one. In this situation I think the Series X is just overkill, especially if you buy games digitally anyway. The new Series S Carbon Black (1TB) seems like a good option. It also takes up less space so it looks better on the shelf and it's easier to take it with you in a backpack. Plus the fact that it's cheaper. There's plenty of videos that show side-by-side comparisons and it gives a better idea than looking at numbers and charts. To me, the output looks extremely close (on a 1080p screen) even if there'd be less raytracing effects.
@@VladTheRad Internet also keeps getting faster . A 150gb game downloads quick on a 500-800 mbps connection. In my case I only play single player offline games , they are not 150gb large .
@@Chertograad It's just not about resolution . Larian announced it will not have multiplayer for BDG3 for Xbox-S but only for Xbox-X. I play more Ps4 games on my ps5 because so many have the free 1440p/60fps patch and 4k/60 fps enhancement. Even on a 1080p TV 1080p/60fps is worth the move up from the S.
and i may buy 2-3 games for lifetime and also considering a game pass. So instead of going for Xbox X or PS5 i can get all those with xbox s but my question is am i going to miss anything if im opting S instead of X and Ps5 ?. Games that i like to play are World war z, Tekken 8, mortal combat, GTA 5, Batman Arkham Knight, spiderman etc
I've grown up with playstation and nintendo for the most part, but I'm actually going to get the series s for Christmas, and thats what is enough for me, I'm going to drop my jaw when i first enter the world of the next gen, I don't care if it's less powerful than the series x or the ps5, it's fairly cheap and totally worth the money, especially with the game pass!
One thing also to consider is the size of your TV, if you have a 4k TV that's 50 inch or less and you're sitting 5 feet away then you probably won't even notice 4K vs 1440P so Xbox Series S would be fine.
Hello, This video is perfect for I believe everyone who struggles deciding which Xbox Series to go for. Unbiased, no stupid jokes (sarcasm and whatnot), to the point, pros and cons of both consoles. If I was to choose one of them, I'd definitely go for Series X. My personal reasons: disc drive (love physical copies, coz you can sell them after you complete the game, plus the feeling itself), more powerful (I love high performance), bigger and fancier. Even on a non-4K TV I'd still prefer to play on the beast. Thank you, on behalf of everyone.
Best way to answer is by asking simple questions. Do you enjoy your multimedia? Do you have 4K/bluray DVDs you enjoy watching? Do you have a 4K tv with a 2.1 HDMI port? Will you have enough memory from the jump for the games that you’re going to play constantly? I have the Series X. Power, memory, specs and I get to play my old disc. Crazy part is I used about 98% of my storage for the games I play. The S wouldn’t be able to keep half of the games that I go back and forward through.
Im getting a 6 month old X from a friend with only 20 hours of play on it for the price of an S. System and an extra controller for $375. I think thats an amazing deal and im happy to be getting it.
I have a feeling that at some point Microsoft will drop parity requirements between the two systems in order to increase the life span of the series X. When the X Box 360 launched, developers couldn’t require a hard drive install for games which ended up hurting their competition with Sony who had a lot more disc space to work with. When Microsoft released the 250 gig model and started allowing developers to require an install, games were able to be produced that went beyond what the system was originally capable of. You see this with games like Battlefield 3 and Grand Theft Auto 5.
Just bought the Series S 1 TB console and I can't be more excited for it to arrive. It's enough for me as a casual gamer to serve as a starting point plus my TV cannot even use the full potential of the Series X had I decided to buy that one. The X is powerful, yes, but if you don't have monitors/TVs that can extract its full power and performance, better to stick with the S.
I say go for the X. more storage, better performance. and you can find it second hand for the price of a new series S including taxes. if you are on a budget, wait an extra month or 2 to save money for it, its worth it in the long run. it's 2024 everyone deserves to experience at least 1440p 120hz gameplay. don't sell yourself short.
In my opinion invest into the future. The money saved in XBox S now, may be more expensive than spending some more in XBox X in zwo or 3 Years from now.
I'm not a console player, I used to have a 360, Skate 3 was my fave game on it, apart from a couple of assassins creeds, the banjo kazooie the console came with and minecraft, every other game I had was a pirated disc, I never connected the console to wifi, I never played any multiplayers on it. I've been thinking of getting a new series xbox for 3 reasons, playing skate 3, getting a new-gen controller over my cabled 360 controller, and maybe checking out some gamepass titles. Now since I'm guessing pirated discs probs won't work with he new disc reader on the SeriesX, and since my copy of Skate 3 was pirated, and since I'll be prominently connecting the console to my computer monitor over a full flatscreen.. maybe getting the SeriesS is a wiser choice? I'm not sure...
Honestly after owning both I recommend the Series X. The X is on sale for 350$ rn which is 50$ more than the Series S. And for 50$ more, your getting better load times, better visuals and over all better performance. Also it comes with more storage. That 500gb series S was not it. I downloaded 3 games and filled my storage as it only has 300gb out of the box. Compared to the 800gb out of the box for the series X
Honestly, Ive had the Xbox Series S for 3 years and I have to say that its well worth the price for 300 bucks! Especially now owning a MSI 1440p resolution gaming monitor with a great IPS Rapid panel, not sure why some people " Oh you don't own the games when you buy them digital" how would you not own games if you BOUGHT the game?? That wouldn't make any sense so the Series S is just an insane small machine with great power and technology it has built in. Games will always play amazing on the Series S, people just get way too negative or over hype 4k content which is why I think 1440p content is not also amazing but very underrated. Xbox Series S for the win for great power and portability!
Both are good next gen system are really good back then I thought last gen was the same but after watching some of these videos I see why everybody purchased next gen.
Can't decide which one all I play is C.O.D and Madden I travel for work so smaller size points me toward S but I'm 38 n never not had a non disc consol

Perfect video my guy❤
Thanks for the review! All I need is an optical drive, huge storage space and a dope controller. The series x checks 2 of those boxes so im going to pick that one up. Lol. I'm sticking with my elite controller for sure though.
Thanks bro great video and helped me make uo my mind. I'm going with the S
I bought the x for the drive so i can play the old 360 games you can get the discs for pennies but the digital is. Nearly full price
Everyone hating on Xbox over PlayStation y’all won’t have games to play in a year enjoy it while you can 😂
I’m sorry but Xbox really didn’t getting anything good, everything announced is kinda ass. I’m a huge Xbox fan over ps5 but I’m just being real
@user-kj7ls9os7f shut up don't u drive a shittyy Toyota corolla
Wtf are you talking about, clown?
You know how dumb you have to be as a consumer to defend a console because eventually their will be games. Bruh, this is your hard earned money. Why would you purposely by a console that you yourself admits currently has nothing worth while for the future hope that Microsoft studio accusations will pay off. This is behind stupid. Would you pay for a streaming service for a year because they promised better content next year. This is just sad man. Best combo so far is a ps5 and a PC Xbox has done nothing to make their console stand out and worth buying. Of they did Sony fans wouldn't be sorry they would just by an Xbox.

Does anybody know what that thing is that shows the football teams on his desk? And where I can get it!
What game is that? 3:25 mark
I have a 4k tv but at 60 hz what console l get ??
Can anyone tell what’s the boxing game called ? 6.07 TIA
Update?

Update pls
Update? @bigrickyt1984
probably getting the series s. i'm a laptop gamer and i wanted to upgrade my gaming experience so i'm going to build a gaming set up, revamp my room, get a pc and monitor, then an xbox and a tv hopefully in the next year
Costco is running a deal right now for Xbox series X with an extra controller for $449. I'm mainly just buying for the new college football game but I figure with that good of a deal to pass up?
What are significant advantages of x over s besides graphics and storage?
Disc drive so you can buy used games and save money, 4k capabilities, and more future proof.
is it worth getting an xbox series x if my tv can only produce 1080p at 60hz?
The graphics will look good normaly but youl have to upgrade for an true experience
Also the pc with same cost as series s will not give performance as series s
no disk tray?
Can you install apps on the Xbox like on the PS5?
Of course!
Great review sir!
Which one will support gta vi?
Both xbox series/x/s/ps5
My issue is how vague Microsoft has been about the S. Sometimes I'll see something about how the S is gonna disappear, then later Microsoft makes a 1TB version of it. Why would they do that if they were gonna ditch it? Then the opinions of absolute nerds who make everything about the numbers, hard to tell what to do here. I want new gen, but I don't want a bunch of absolute nerds spewing out nunbers and parts at me. I'll just buy the S and tell everyone to suck it lol
They dont need to ditch it. It can run every game the X can run
It does the same thing, lmao idk why they made the two look so different though
Does it make a difference on graphics if you don’t have a 4k tv?
Yes
Not much
maybe frames but that’s it
As someone with a ps5 I really don't see the point in spending another $500 on a console so the Series S is the way to go in this case
I’m thinking the same thing, I love my ps5, but I wanna get a Xbox to play palworld
Palworld is not worth the change ! It's fun but it leaves a lot to be desired
Does storage matter?
On my Ps5 I just load 6 game and delete /reinstall after that .
Never ran into a game THAT TAKES LONGER THAN 15 MIN TO REINSTAL .
@@Crashed131963 I don't know but apparently there are already nowadays games that are 150+ GB and that's only going to increase over time, so...
I want to get a Xbox just to play fight night champion.so I should definitely go with the S?
Which one should I get if I play in monitor?
Séries S
series x if it’s 4k
Quick Resume is the best feature to sell the console and game pass with. I love it!
Someone please help, how do I get the always changing background❗️ mine started with my old Xbox background
settings, personalistion
and i may buy 2-3 games for lifetime and also considering a game pass. So instead of going for Xbox X or PS5 i can get all those with xbox s but my question is am i going to miss anything if im opting S instead of X and Ps5 ?. Games that i like to play are World war z, Tekken 8, mortal combat, GTA 5, Batman Arkham Knight, spiderman etc
you shouldn’t miss much except for 4k and slightly smoother gameplay. you’d also be gaining value for portability
What game was that at 3:20 - 3:25 ?
Hi Fi Rush
Nice review and comparison
I've grown up with playstation and nintendo for the most part, but I'm actually going to get the series s for Christmas, and thats what is enough for me, I'm going to drop my jaw when i first enter the world of the next gen, I don't care if it's less powerful than the series x or the ps5, it's fairly cheap and totally worth the money, especially with the game pass!
Is series s next gen like the series x?
Yes
yes, it’s just smaller with slightly worse graphics
6:05 less many for way more games you wont play and the games you want to buy arent on gamepass..
Do they both get 120 frames?
Series S can target 120fps but usually fall somewhere just below. Great little machine tho
@@mightydazkenAlso depends on your game and wifi connection.
4K is a gimmick.
Average person sits 6 feet away from their tv. You will not notice the difference from 1080p to 4k at that distance.
Thank you. Nice vid!
Thanks for the knowledge good sir.
Really well explained 🙂
Good info. New to games after a 30 year break. I’m going with the S to play world of warships.
Your should try naval mode in Warthunder if you like more "realistic" gameplay it's also free to play
This whole video- and I aint seen Left 4 Dead 1 or 2 in your game list LOL :)
if i play on a 144hz monitor what xbox should i buy ?
Doesn't matter you would get 120 fps on both
Bro said, "It might get dirty if you have Kids." Bro got me rollin' 🤣🤣🤣
It's true. Most kids don't take care of their shit especially handheld consoles.
Im gwtting the series s tommorow i dont even remember the last time i bought a disc game i just download off gamepass
Does it run games at constant 60 fps.. like Forza and GTA ... Warzone .. should I buy it I have a really tight budget
Good video bro
I have a xbox one but i want to buy a xbox series s. Can i play my xbox one games on the s ?
Series s has no disc drive, so you would need the series x to play your Xbox one games.
@Luke-xe4dh thanks
is it worth it if i got the x for 350?
One thing also to consider is the size of your TV, if you have a 4k TV that's 50 inch or less and you're sitting 5 feet away then you probably won't even notice 4K vs 1440P so Xbox Series S would be fine.
Hello,
This video is perfect for I believe everyone who struggles deciding which Xbox Series to go for.
You got ripped off
@@RambosAdventures considering it was $150 under retail. Im happy. But thanks.
I thought the series S can upscale to 4k now ? And play 120 fps
In my opinion invest into the future.
The money saved in XBox S now, may be more expensive than spending some more in XBox X in zwo or 3 Years from now.
The quality of your channel is
I have an Xbox series x but want to pull the trigger on the ps5 that’s on my kart
do it. i have ps5 and i just got the series s to literally play halo xd
On sale where
Thanks this helped my decision
@@suprxmefire9497 glad to help bro. It offers similar performance to the PS5 while also being easily uptainable for 200+ less than the PS5.
@@Turbonine9 I got mine on Walmarts website for 350
Honestly, Ive had the Xbox Series S for 3 years and I have to say that its well worth the price for 300 bucks!
You buy the license to use the game you never own it ...;)
