Coming from a ps5 and then picking up a series s as I found one at a great price I now have sold my ps5 and game full time on my series s now. Having a smaller compact silent console that plays all the next gen games perfectly is incredible. I dabble in and out of gamepass and buy games if and when I want digitally. It’s fast and allows you to start playing before the downloads complete which is great. I find this years exclusives better on Xbox and can try most of them with gamepass if I want to try before I buy. It’s a great little machine I nearly didn’t get but I’m glad I did.

I’m primarily a PS5 player, and I’ve never owned an Xbox. I recently got myself a Series S solely for Game Pass and the ability to download and play classic games. Which given the storage space, I think is the perfect option for someone like me. If I wanna play the newest games in the highest quality, I’ll stick to my PS5. But Xbox’s library of games is far better than anything Sony is offering right now.
I never really cared about 4k gaming, even tho the series s less powerful & has a 1440p picture resolution it still is phenomenal. Definitely worth the pick up
This is the most perfect console if you are a competitive fighting game player or promoter. So far all this generation's fighting games run with no problems at all.

Say what you want. But I've been owning this for over 2 years and I have yet to put it down. I mainly use it to play a few older titles I've missed from the 360 generation as well as a few indie games and games made by not so big studios that I've been into for the past year or so. Game Pass is great for the most part. I got every single Rayman game from the Microsoft store.
I already have an Xbox series X, but I am considering getting an Xbox series S as my extra console for my spare bedroom, where I currently have an Xbox one S set up. I have a 1080p tv in there and I only have access to the Xbox one titles. That part of the house has horrible wifi even with a mesh wifi unit (works decent for streaming 1080p movies and shows but not good enough for cloud streaming of games), so that would be ideal. Most of my games are digital (about 90%) so that would work out fine. Also a good system to take traveling with a portable monitor.
Funny thing with me is, while I do have Game Pass and I do generally use it, lately I haven't used it outside of Diablo 4. I played Mafia DE and before that I 100% completed the GTA Trilogy. And tbh I still had a great time. Imo this console is good for anyone who isn't a graphics snob and can live without 4K.
I own a 4k tv and I still don't notice the difference between the series s and the x. Maybe it's because I am using a 4k hdmi cable? I'd like to also add that if you own a PS5 then the series s is all you need.

I have the one s and I liked it but unfortunately it stopped working and now I’m looking to upgrade to the series s. The design of the series s reminds me of the one s which will make me feel right at home but yet have a way smoother gaming experience
I have had it for about more than a year. Everything is fine with it except the thermals. I always use extra cooling fan or put the console on high levels to help air conditioning.
I want to try out some of the games which means the game pass got lots of value for 24 months. hopefully, when the all access ones on sale, I could get one.
I will be getting the xbox series s console in November with the charge and play so i dont have to worry about batteries and the 3 month game pass ultimate
It's a great console. If u understand that the X and PS5 have 30fps games, get a Samsung with game motion plus and run every game on Visuals settings. 1440p at 60 awaits you.
series s is a very good console i have it and no regrets it can run at 4k 60 fps and there is no differnce in series x and s in graphics in 4k if ur sitting 2 meters away for tv

Who needs physical anyway? I'm a PC gamer, I don't need to own my games as physical stuff. I own my video games digitally. Say what you want about digital-only, I'm going for it because I'm a PC gamer, and PC gamers like me go digital-only.
On a PC you have the option of backing up your media and purchasing games from multiple marketplaces. On the Xbox you do not have that option, you are restricted to purchasing and validating through the Microsoft store. With the Xbox 360 services being shutdown, it is also inevitable that this current generation will also lose access to their games and media too. That’s why physical games are important.
Series S is the best value in gaming if you use it as a Game Pass console.

fyi, You could try using a powerline adapter, they work well to get a wired signal using the home's electrical system.

People love on the Switch but hate on the Series S. I always felt that games is what mattered in the end. Graphics don't matter to most.
