An absolute classic! I love this song. It’s the song that introduced me to Bon Jovi. The vocals and background music complement one another. So, so, so good!!!
I just love these guy's, great tunes that get locked in your head. Jon has been married to his high school sweetheart Dorothea for over 35 years now. Thanks Asia and BJ
Bon Jovi can do the power balled for sure. Sambora lines doing the background vocals really sets this one apart. My favorite ballad from them is "Always", but I like this one too.
I was in my 20s in the 80s and that was the decade to be alive! I saw most of the big names in concert, bon Jovi was a big one! The girls went crazy for Jon, not realizing he married his high school sweetheart and wasn't interested in them! BJ, hope you're cool with this...Asia, you are beautiful!
Never Say Goodbye, This Ain't a Love Song, and Always are other great ballads from Bon Jovi. The name of the band is derived from lead singer Jon's real last name Bongiovi.
My favourite Bon Jovi ballad. It is so powerful and just imagine how strong the love was he was singing about. My fav song reaction by my fav UA-cam couple. I love you guys. You are so cute and you make me smile. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Try the Acoustic album This Left Feels Right. Also like Seat Next To You andTil We Ain't Strangers Anymore from Lost Highway and also Summertime, same album.
I'd have to say this is probably one of my favorite if not the favorite of mine. I feel like John Sang his ass off on this one ! And the song would not be the same without Richie sambora playing that guitar beautifully and shredding on it at the same time... And can we talk about his backing vocals !!!
A favorite band of mine of ALL time.. and I LOVE this song!!! Y’all should check out their songs “Bed of Roses” and “Never say Goodbye!” Love sooo many of theirs! Their official videos are great too! 😍 Soooo fine!!! Yes,Jon Bon Jovi is the lead singer. And I wish y’all could SEE him doing these epic songs- again, sooo fine! ❤️ Me and my best friend had their posters on our walls AND ceilings back in the day! Whitesnake too!
I love this one! Its up there in my top three of theirs, the whole of New Jersey album is amazing, so is Blaze of Glory, its a great Young guns movie soundtrack done by Jon and one of the best soundtracks ever done IMO!
@@allenwhitmer8192 Lol oh dear that's not good! They've done so many song's together it's just a natural go to I guess. I didn't know that about Jeff Beck though, may he RIP the legend. I'm glad you told me though its interesting.
This song is up there with keep on loving you and take it on the run and can't fight this feeling and open arms and love hurts and time for me to fly and please forgive me and everything I do, I do it for you and Heaven. All good power ballads of the 80's and 90's.
Absolutely love this song. And what I love even more is that Jon Bon Jovi wrote this song for his then girlfriend/high school Sweet heart-now wife for I don’t know how many years. It’s a sweet love song ❤and don’t forget Richie Sambora as lead guitarist and back up Vocals. His voice blends well with Jon’s. ❤ such a good reaction-more Bon Jovi 💕
There were a LOT of rock bands writing power ballads in the 80s. It was like a rule or something. You HAD to have a power ballad on your album. Few could do it with the with the consistent greatness that Bon Jovi could, however.
It was a formula to sell albums. Record companies wanted bands doing at least one ballad. That's part of the reason why Night Ranger broke up before getting back together again.
My girl is not into my music, metal and country, but said that she'd give love ballads a go..So it is my thinking she might share Asia's thoughts on songs like this the more she hears them, at least I hope so..
If you guys are just now tuning into this, that’s funny… Bon Jovi, Richie Sambora, Jon Bon Jovi they have always had beautiful soul voices… You should check out more of their songs.
@Mike Nastasi I just felt like it was kind of a forgotten song. But after looking at streaming totals from across all platforms in various countries, it's consistently the #1 listened to song from New Jersey and a top 10 song of theirs overall. In some lists, top 5. I guess I'm just so used to the Prayer/Bad Name/Wanted hype, that it seemed that way. All great songs, but I feel like IBTFY is kind of on another level than a lot of their work. Catchy like most of their tracks, but additionally beautifully arranged, soulful, and deep. Richie's blues style shines, as well as their superb harmonies. Jon shows a lot of range. I don't know. I guess I'm wrong, and just a fan of the song. Thanks for making me realize that.
@@thequiet1374 It's a great song. I wasn't trying to be obnoxious or snarky. Bon Jovi has a lot of great songs, but yeah, it's usually Livin On A Prayer, You Give Love A Bad Name and Wanted Dead Or Alive or now It's My Life.
Never Say Goodbye is probably my fav ballad of Bon Jovi.. but this is up there.. and I'm thinking Jon made it good cause he's been married to his HS sweetheart for over 40 yrs now.. fact
I’m telling you all one thing: I used to work for a strip club that really had a high percent black clientele for both men and women. Black women LOVE Bon Jovi, Cinderella, and NIckelback. I don’t care if they’re 18 or 58. They flip when this music comes in it’s hilarious. They love 80s-90s white boy rock. I’m telling ya. 😎😎
All of the girls loved them. All (most) of the metal heads hated them. However, they built a powerhouse band. Ritchie Sambora (lead guitarist/vocals) was just as good of singer and one of the best guitarist. Check out the version of this song with the Guitarist singing it in NY. Pssh. He blows the original away I think.
Richie Sambora's lead guitar and his high harmony vocals with Jon make this song......... as they do so many others. Sambora was the true heart and soul of the "Bon Jovi" band. Yes, John Bongiovi is the leader and the "lead singer" of the band, but listen to them sing separate lines, and Richie Sambora is truly the BETTER singer of the two. Richie's first solo album "Stranger in This Town" was as good as any Bon Jovi album. Bon Jovi without Sambora is like The Beatles without George Harrison. No one could exactly replace George, bless his soul.
Okay I told my daughter if a guy plays this song for you leave him as soon as possible right away do not go back why because he knew you're going to leave any try to do something real sweet to keep you he wasn't there for your birthday Valentine or any other important days in your life what's going to make them change? And watching Asia he's the reason we low-life guys love this song because we can play on your emotions I enjoy your reaction
Always and Never say goodbye are some more of Bon Jovi’s love ballads
I would add bed of roses to the list.
His best 2
@@shawnpiette5372 I'll be there for you is definitely on par with the other two.
If you like this ballad, you will LOVE Always. It’s a beautiful, soulful song by them. Thanks for this one ❤
Great ballad from Bon Jovi. Instant classic.
An absolute classic! I love this song. It’s the song that introduced me to Bon Jovi. The vocals and background music complement one another. So, so, so good!!!
The harmonies between Jon and Richie, Richie' solos...simply amazing, that's what made Bon Jovi the best band in the world those days
Yes!!!!!! Jon is so much better with Richie.
That melody played on the guitar at the end is some of the best song writing I've ever heard
I just love these guy's, great tunes that get locked in your head. Jon has been married to his high school sweetheart Dorothea for over 35 years now. Thanks Asia and BJ
"Bed of Rose's"Bon Jovi, love from Virginia

Definitely one of the ultimate "bust our your lighter at the concert" songs, and that's because the 80s were full of them :D
Jon and Ritchie harmonizing is always beautiful. ❤
A Rock Ballad that took the Number 1 spot on the billboard hot 100 in May of 1989, lots of twinkles and babies born in February 1990
Jon no sólo es una cara y cuerpo bonito, sino también un gran cantante talentoso, compositor, músico, actor. El mejor!!!
Never Say Goodbye, This Ain't a Love Song, and Always are other great ballads from Bon Jovi. The name of the band is derived from lead singer Jon's real last name Bongiovi.
This Ain’t a Love Song is one of my favorites!
My favourite Bon Jovi ballad. It is so powerful and just imagine how strong the love was he was singing about. My fav song reaction by my fav UA-cam couple. I love you guys. You are so cute and you make me smile. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Can’t go wrong with Bon Jovi.
Everything about Bon Jovi is wrong. 🤮🤮🤮 total crap band.

True🥰🥰🥰
Unless you listen to live versions today. He totally didn't take care of his voice. He's lost it

Richie didn't play guitar on Blaze of Glory. That was one of Jon's solo projects and he played the acoustic and Jeff Beck was on lead guitar
@@allenwhitmer8192 You're right - my mistake. I edited it.

@@silverdoeGirl You bet. I became a fan of Jeff Beck when he did People Get Ready, with Rod Stewart. Love that song.
Bed of Roses, Living in Sin, Always, are great songs by Bon Jovi
Jon and Richie wrote beautiful songs....which is why they're in the Songwriters Hall of Fame. This is a power ballad.
Some of the most touching lyrics in a power ballad. My fav, “I guess this time you’re really leaving….I heard your suitcase say goodbye…” WOW 🤘🏽😑🤘🏽
Impresionante la voz de Jon y ese grito poderoso qué te desgarra el corazón ❤
Bed of Roses & Always....two more beautiful ballads of theirs
The only thing that would have made this reaction better would be to see Jon singing it. 🔥
Why didn't they pull up the video of him singing it instead of just the lyrics?
Bon Jovi was my first concert in 1987. I've loved them since I was 11 years old. I'm 48 now
Richie Sambora on background vocals and they always throw in a key change. Love it even if it is a "cheesy rock ballad."
Asia & BJ, you’ll love Jon Bon Jovi and Jennifer Nettles duet “Who Says You Can’t Go Home”!!!
Richie Samboras background-harmonies and fills makes all the difference!
Love this song! Thanks for another great reaction! ☮️❤️😎
Beautiful song by Bon Jovi. Thanks guys for reacting to this one🧡
This takes me straight back to my high school gym at the dance. Great reaction!
Nobody could do ballads like Jovi!!!!
Except for Journey
Beautiful song!!!
Love this classic
Aww this song takes me back to the day.. this song come on the juke, your bottle became you mic and you brought your Bic out... Aww yeah...
John Bon Jovi and the lead guitar player Richie Sambora's voices are almost identical
