I grew up in the 80's. I still believe that is was the greatest time for music.
This song was early '90s. close enuff.
Power ballads were common in the 80s and early 90s.
The 80s had some amazing hair bands! Steelheart is one of the best. That man can sing!!!
I lived the 80s and 90s. That was a true love song that never gets old for me. Hubby and I are high school sweet hearts.
I'm a rocker, Steelheart is among the best. I play this song at least once a week to readjust my temperament/mood.
Don't care what anyone says Asia, he was singing to you. Don't listen to the haters. 😎
She had her eyes on him face signs lol
Asia's face when he hits that note 😳🤣👍
I agree with this one lol she defined the "wtF?" face
Her face throughout the whole thing lol
And he can STILL hit that note.
I absolutely LOVE how Asia "fan girls" at Miljenko's voice. He is on a level like no other vocally. Absolute legend in my book.
Greatest 80’s hair metal power ballad….EVER!
One the best rock love songs of all time 💕💕💕
Mili had one of the greatest voices in rock ,he still performs today ,he’s fit and loves his fans ,a class act ,I saw him perform at a rock fest a few years back we were in The second row,of the pavilion, but Mili walked to the lawn outside of the pavilion and sang to the people sitting on the law,n, That was amazing . I believe he was involved in a freak stage accident where a rafter fell in him and it did effect his singing a bit ,but he recovered and still sings today. He also has a cool UA-cam channel where he interacts with his fans.Awesome reaction as always , please do more Steel heart they had some good music. Much love and blessings 🙏🤗❤️
How old is he?

Having seen them back then, the high notes while in a back bend wasn't just for the video. He did the same in concert.
This came out in the early 90s 91,92
They were something to see when he could hit those notes. At Asia, you're supposed to, because he is, and what about that ending? ☆☆☆☆☆
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 I told my wife I gotta see Asia react to this bc I had a feeling she would like this one.
It had the sound , the words and then the voice brings it home.
She was grinning 5 words in :)
I remember dreaming of being a singer in a band when I was a kid. Then I heard this song.....I can remember thinking I better learn to play guitar....because there's way I would be able to do that. It's a shame his career got derailed by a stage accident. He was a very special singer. The world was definitely robbed of a once in a lifetime type of voice.
He still sings, still has the range, but can't hold it near as long as he used to. Age has a funny way of doing that to a person 😮
"... I better learn to play guitar..." That is awsome. 🤣
Nothing like that in the world 🤘
Jim Gillette existed in the 80s.
Those hair bands in the 80s did some powerful ballads!! Loved the 80s!
Everybody Loves Eileen is a great Steel Heart tune. And if you want to get back to Boston listen to A Man I'll Never Be
I love sticky side up too
And he can STILL hit thoses notes today!!!🎵🎼🎶🎤🎸🎙🥁🎹🔥🔥🔥🤘🤘
😅no he cannot
This guy is the bombdiggetybomb!
Ooohhhh SMEXY!!! Sprained a finger getting here so Quick!!! What a voice🔥🤘😎🥰💜
unplugged is amazing
Lead singer is Miljenko Matijevic
When he does that back bend in the desert & hitting that note….damn!!!! Milejenko can still hit those notes too!!! 🤘🏽❤️🤘🏽❤️🤘🏽❤️
It was the greatest an always will be back then 70_80_90 nothing compares
Another great rock ballad for you to check out is "When I'm With You" by Sheriff. They never became very big, which is a shame because their lead singer is fantastic. The lead singer was also in Alias which have a few good songs. Check out. "More than Words Can Say." GREAT song.
I am a big fan of steel heart,I really enjoy your reaction, make more steel heart please, thank you
I swear I've never seen Asia so tuned in and focused😅 In a trance!!
We gotta get Asia to start her singing career!
There is no music like this being made anymore. Man do I miss this era.
'She's Gone' is another fantastic ballad from Steelheart.
Most definitely need to do this song.
@@satoricrush They have
Great band. Great rabbit hole
Wow, I thought for sure that you guys would have reacted to this long ago, but better late than never!! Your reaction was no different than everyone else on planet Earth who heard this for the first time. Minds were blown.
i grew up in CT and they are locals. Came by my friends house after concert.
During the set, Matijevic suffered a traumatic brain injury and faced near death when a thousand-pound lighting truss that was left unsecured on the side of the stage fell on him. He's spent the past 30 years recovering from the incident, not only the physical but the psychological and professional wounds. Yes he did do all the lead vocals for the movie “RockStar”. There was another guy on vocals too, but Mili sang every song in that movie. Except for the very last song in the movie. That was “ The Verve Pipe” and the song was “ Colorful”.
pretty sure it was because he climbed it
That's actually some really cool info I wasn't aware of. Thanks!
Jeff Scott Soto sang stand up and shout for the soundtrack. Millie is still recording and touring. His song “my love is gone” is a cry your eyes out tune
I can't think of their name at the time, prior to the name The Verve Pipe, but my band played a Party with them at Michigan State University in 91 or early 92! They were pretty quiet polite fellows I must say!
It took a few months after they hit the charts when I saw the Band Members names that it clicked that I had played a HUGE Basement Party with them!
@@Axe_Slinger Now that is an awesome story. A LONG time ago, early 90s. I was visiting my cousin and her husband in Seattle. Went to a pretty popular bar with live music. Ended up watching this new band named “ Pearl Jam”. Turned out my cousins husband, Jay, knew Eddie Vetter, lead singer. So I got to meet the entire band. Then we hung out with them for a couple hours in the bar. Eddie was just one of the koolest guys I’d ever met. Rest of band was too. Next thing we knew, we came back to my state, and Jay calls me and tells me “ Pearl Jam” just released an album. Said not to buy it, cuz he was sending me a Signed CD from Eddie. That’s how kool he was!!
Wish the tragedy would have never happened. Can u imagine what we’ve all missed because of it. And yes Asia. We love your angle eta also ❤️
If someone were to hit me in my lower region, I still couldn't even come close to Mili's high note 😂
this was 1990 no autotune yet... that was created in aug 1997...
Before they were signed to a record label and changed their name to "Steelheart", they were "Red Alert". One of the top bands out of the Connecticut rock club days. Watching him hit those notes in the clubs back in the day, was pretty impressive stuff.
I wondered if y'all would ever get around to this amazing song 👍👍👍👍
We loved this song when it came out.
80’s were the best. We had every style of music there was. I think Steelheart came along in the early 90’s. Lead singer has a set of pipes on him. If you haven’t listened to Stryper, their singer Michael Sweet can hit the high notes also and those guys freaking rock. Listen to “Soldiers Under Command”.
I am SOO GLAD to finally see y'all react to this song! I absolutely love this song, his vocal range is out of this world! Thank you for doing this reaction. Seeing Asia's facial expression was like....."is this guy real"? Lol...y'all's reaction was priceless. Soo awesome to see BJ get swept with this song!
Growing up spending all my teen years in the 80's was a blessing. It was by far the greatest musical era in the history of music. Anytime you do a video from 80's n early 90's you must watch the video.
Glad i grew up listening to the Best music To be made .2024 and im listening to Steelheart and all the Badass 80s bands.
this is one of my favorite song by Steelheart beside mama don't you cry
😂😂😂😂 Asia feeling it..!!! Awesome rock power love ballad!
❤ this song so much! We used to ride down the road with this song cranked up, windows down and singing to the top of our lungs. Oh to be 18 again!
I just discovered your channel 5 days ago, immediately subbed and binged. I did notice, however, a serious lack of Dream Theater. If you have never heard them, you are missing out on probably the most talented band in Rock and roll. Their release "Images and Words" is a true masterpiece. Soaring vocals and giant anathematic compositions with incredible solos by all band members. Surrounded and Beneath a glass moon will blow you away. I know you get a zillion requests, but this will leave you speechless.
Y'all need to check out the new version he done with his daughter. It's absolutely amazing!!
That's the whole point, girl he is singing to you ! In the day you would have had to physically gone and got this album from the store. $$$$$$ in them angel eyes lol.
Never a damn thing wrong w/ a woman digging 80s ballads. Powerful shit!
My favorite song
This song came out in 1990, when so-called “glam metal” bands ruled the charts. Other bands that were huge at the moment were Warrant, Winger, Skid Row and the Christian glam-metal band Stryper. All of them have stuff worth checking out. One of my favorite rock bands of the era, however, was a but more experimental: King’s X. I recommend checking out their song “We Were Born to Be Loved.”
You two are a beautiful couple. I pray that you have children as beautiful, cool, and open minded as their beautiful parents. God bless you both. Please, keep sharing these wonderful videos; and please, always, go with God.
Thank you so much!
OMG! I love this song. Milenko Matijevich can SANG! His range is out of the stratosphere. FYI he's the one who's voice is singing in the movie Rock Star (Mark Wahlberg stars in the movie and is lip synching to Milenko's voice). If you've never seen it, watch it. It's a great movie.
This is one of my favorite songs to watch people react to. Nobody is ever ready for what's going to happen to them.
When he hit that long, note with a back bend OMG!
He was definitely singing to you Asia!!
One of my favorite reactions from you too. This was my wife and I's fist dance at our wedding reception.
Asia’s face says it all!!! 🔥
Check out their first album with this song on it. Simply amazing.
He's singing to me Asia...lol he's definitely one of the best rock singers. Ever!
Love Steelheart. Gives me chills.😮 He has some pipes on him. We All Die Young is one of my favorites. It was done in the movie Rock Star(check it out) with Mark Wahlberg. He was a fan who took over being front man for a band Steel Dragon that in the movie performed the song as their own. Some powerful stuff by Steelheart.😊😊😊
Best time to b alive for sure. The 80's and 90' were the best. I'm sorry but this kind of great music isn't made anymore
I loved this band . About 2 years ago I saw them in concert with Warrant and Skid Row. Even older they sounded pretty good.
How were the other bands?
They were good as well. Sebastian Bach had left the band years before. Warrant was really my favorite.
Asias face said it all , awesome reaction !
I love when you guys smile at the beginning of the song 😊
I'm in my 50's. I've heard that song hundreds of times and it still gives me chills!
I EVEN get goose bumps when I hear this.....STILL
Of course he was singing to you! You got angel eyes!!! YES?
Absolutely a great 80’s band!
80’s rock band were no joke! ❤️🔥❤️🔥
He was up for best range in the world! FACTS
I love this song! I have it on my playlist 😁 it gives me literal goosebumps!🤘
It does that to me too
Like 👍Number 670 Written by Miljenko Matijevic. He is the lead singer. He can still sing like this! A friend of mine, who saw Steelheart in Las Vegas, told me this!🤯 Suggested song: Can't Stop Me Lovin' You.
Recent cover of I'll Never Let You Go which can compare is from Denden Gonjalez. He is from Indonesia.
You should watch the live version. And he hits it perfect.
Watch the acoustic version of "SHE'S GONE"
OMG! I can’t wait for this reaction! I love still hard there from back in my day! That might tell you a little too much about how old I am… But this was mine and my husbands song and we’ve been married 33 years this song never gets old
The consternation on Asia's face is the best. I haven't ever seen that before. 🤣Love it. Milijenko does that to people.
Good song y’all. Love your reactions.
Y'ALL..........if you dig these vocals, then just for your own enjoyment, check out some of the bigger hits from a Norwegian band called TNT.......they had an American singer with a 4 1/2 octave range, and the guitarist was like the Eddie Van Halen of Scandinavia.* They married technical skill with a "commercial" sound surprisingly well. Some very catchy tunes you'll be humming later.
* No, I would not say that Yngwie was the EVH of that region, because Yngwie REALLY did his own thing, even more than Ronni Le Tekro, who was AMAZING....
This song was the 80s ballads in a nutshell, his vocals are off the charts! Many a peeps were getting down to this song in the 80s myself included lol! This is hair metal master class lol! Man I miss the 80s, best metal ever! nothing can touch the 80s hair bands and this song proves it!
My girl use to say the exact same thing! “It like he’s singing too me!
Listen to their song "Mama Don't You Cry". Just make sure it's the studio version and not the "Unplugged" version with just him and a piano player. I bet the studio version will make you shed a tear or two.
This song epitomized the heart and soul put into '80s rock love ballads, amazing
The music back then was so much better than today's and man he sure could sing that's for sure
Awesome how you know your lady. Impressed
omg Asia youre reaction to this is absolutely priceless. that look on your face.. lmao. im dyin over here! pretty much what most girls looked like back in the day when hearing these type songs. The guys, the voice, the hair, the tight jeans ...such a time period..
And that IS his voice. No auto tune ❤
I still remember pulling this album off the cassette shelf at my local music store in the Mall back in 1990 like it was yesterday
Amazing vocals! ❤
I remember when I saw this video back in the day. I thought damn, Fabio can sing!
Welcome to the late 80's and early 90's love songs
I love the look on your face Asia!
An awesome voice. 🔥
Its awesome watching yall talk about his notes knowing the end note is really coming to blow you away.
I'm with you Asia, it always gives me goosebumps
The look on Asia's face..... priceless! =;-D
His voice was no different live. He's a fucking vocal legend
Another powerhouse voice ❤ love this song still 💕🥰
He Cracked the Heavens!!
