You just reacted to my wife's song. She passed away 2 years ago TODAY and I play this song EVERY SINGLE DAY. 😪I cannot believe you chose this song today. Thank you.
So sorry Bruce, I can't imagine losing my soulmate, I really hope you know that she is still with you, and you will be with her again. For now, remember all that you love about her, don't forget to look for signs.🕊❤️🎈
This has always been my favorite Bon Jovi song. Often, people get this song confused and think he's talking about being with another woman because he mentions his "mistress" and how tonight "he won't be alone." It's actually referring to his career being his mistress and how it takes him away from the woman he loves and wants to be with. When he says he won't be alone, that's the reference to the audience. Such a beautiful song, and you're right, his vocals are incredible on this track! 🥰⚘️⚘️⚘️⚘️
The MTV Unplugged version of this song is very good too. You mentioned the song Blaze Of Glory from the movie Young Guns which I think you should definitely check out in your movie channel. Hope you enjoy It If you do.
I agree. Bon Jovi "Living in Sin" is one to react to!!! Bon Jovi puts on an Incredible show and nothing compares to Richie Sambora on the guitar. He's a master! Jon and Richie's vocals together are magical. They need to reunite!! These guys are Amazing!
Na but as far as i know: the morning after he cheated, sitting at the piano in his hotel room, he started writing this song as apology to his wife. I can be wrong, but thats what i know from this song
I believe he wrote this song for his wife Dorthia who he’s still married too. When he quit touring he started a foundation to help those in need. He owns a restaurant in New York and anyone is allowed to come in, if you can’t pay your bill you can wash dishes, sweep floors etc. and dinner is on him. He also spends time there prepping for meals, cleaning toilets, bussing tables. Just a great guy
Always found it a funny love ballad as it's basically "I'm sleeping with a bunch of groupies but I miss you." It's simultaneous cringe and so endearing because of its realism to what many musicians are probably going through.
@@jessicacox9261 That’s what I think also having watched a lot of his and Dorthea’s interviews that was my take also, because both are admit that they have been faithful their entire marriage.
A song that Jon wrote for his wife. He sleeps on a bed of nails because it is like torture being away from her. Some people think he is referring to cheating, but the blond giving him nightmares is his guitar and his "mistress" is the stage. Richie's vocals and guitar with Jon's vocals were always magical! If you want to see an absolutely awesome live performance, I suggest Dry County from Live at Wembley 1995! Jon's powerful and emotional vocals with Richie's guitar...amazing! The whole band kills it!
Well said Kristie. Right on the money. I heard Jon talk about this after the "Keep the Faith" album was released way back when? 1993, I think! Gee, I feel old! 😁
The blonde was actually Diane Lane who had been seeing, he and Dorothea was broke up at the time, not married yet. while dating Diane he realized he loved only Dorothea, and broke up with Diane.
Jon and his high school sweetheart Dorothea have been together for decades now, they are an amazing couple who do a lot of philanthropy and are just good decent people. Thanks Jay and Amber.
Richie's guitar work in this song definitely shined! And, of course, Jon belting those powerful lyrics was amazing as well. I can't wait to see your reaction to "Wanted Dead or Alive." If you liked "Blaze of Glory" then you'll love that one!
Gosh…. They were so young there. Grew up a few towns over from him. Talking about the vocals…. Understand that Jon always sings with Ritchie (lead guitar). Watch the video again, Ritchie is always there. As Jon’s grown older and Ritchie is no longer touring, the live performances have suffered. But gosh, back in the day…. Jon’s live performance was stellar. And yes, their concerts were the best music .. ever! BTW…. He’s singing to Dorothea, his wife.
This is one of my all time favorite Bon Jovi songs. I truly miss music like this because today's music is over produced ruining the complexity and passion in the human voice.
Their concerts were legit. Saw them in 2005. They brought the energy. After doing some songs off their Have a Nice Day album, they did a "time warp" back to 1984, with their first hit, Runaway, and introduced the pyros to give it an 80's feel. Four hour concert. Best concert I have been to.
This is one of the best power ballads ever written, and a huge hit for the band. Jon was at his peak of writing here, and when he wrote this song, he hit an absolute home run. This song is so special to so many people, as the words are so powerful and meaningful, and people interpret it to fit their own lives. It is a timeless song, and just as impactful now as it was when it was released. Jon Bon Jovi will go down as not only a great singer and entertainer, but his song writing is brilliant, and to me, this is his best work. Great reaction to an absolutely beautiful song
Bon Jovi entered the music world as a hair band and was not given the respect he deserved. As time went by, he opened up many eyes and ears and he started to get the respect, as an artist, that he deserved.
I remember Bon Jovi performing this song live in the middle of the street on a band stand in Cardiff in 1995 (they performed for free). I threw my guitar pick onto the stage and Richie Sambora used it, then threw it back into the crowd. I never saw that guitar pick ever again.
This blinking song gets me everytime, Jon Bon Jovi's voice stole my heart when I was 16 and he still hasn't given it back (I am now 54) never get tired of hearing his music
Bon Jovi, *the* band of my final high school days. Man, we played their stuff so much, and so loud, while singing at the top of our lungs. Good times and busted vocal cords. 😅 And yes, their concerts were like that! At least the one time I saw them live in '95 it was! Absolutely epic concert!
There is more than one Soul Kitchen, which is the name of their Restaurants. Jon does so many awesome things it's hard to list them all. Jon & his wife Dorthia are TRUE Humanitarians ❤
I love them. Along time ago you did an interview with the Bee Gees. I wish you would react to an interview with Jon and his wife and the amazing things they do.
JBJ has one of the best rock vocals ever. I'm huge fan of BJ since 90' and I only wish for them to visit Poland again. They are ageless and I can listen to their songs another 30 years 🙂. Thank you for this reaction ❤
Unfortunately, many fans have sort of turned on Jon after many years of his singing voice deteriorating. To the point that many claim that his former lead guitarist Richie Sambora (seen in this video) has always been the better singer. Both were equally great in their primes, but it's no coincidence that the backup singer has been able to maintain his voice better throughout their careers. Songs like this are reminders that Jon was a deserving lead vocalist of the band.
"Well I´m so far away each step that I take´s on my way home" just shows the poetic quality of their song writing. Their concerts are something out of this world. You don´t get to experience that so much anymore unfortunately. But to watch Bon Jovi live in their prime was undescribable.
A Kings ransom in dimes I'd give each night to see through this payphone.... One of my favorite lines in this song.... This song is overflowing with poetry if you listen to the lyrics....
This is definitely one of my favourites. Another great vocalist that I hope you haven't forgotten about is Jewel. "Foolish Games" is a must listen to. Have a wonderful day. ✌️
One of Bon Jovi's best songs ever was never released as a single - "Blood On Blood". If you react to it, please do the live version from the Moscow Peace Festival. It's an incredible performance.
This is one of my favorite Bon Jovi songs! Love their power ballads! "Make a Memory", Thank You for Loving Me", "In These Arms" are other favorites that you haven't reacted to yet.
Great song! Jon is an awesome vocalist but this might be one of his best efforts. Also…what a great guitarist & backup singer Richie Sambora is. Love them all!
This song came out when I was about 10. It was also my introduction song to Bon Jovi as it has been a huge band in Indonesia since the mid-80s. You can't ignore Richie Sambora and David Bryan's back up vocals.
One of my fave songs from Bon Jovi! Yes I agree Jon's voice is so powerful, he just sings his heart out!!! SIGH..................! Plus, Richie on that guitar #EPIC 😊😍🥰
NO ONE does a power ballad like Bon Jovi. Journey is close for sure, GnR and Def Leppard have some great ones. But Bon Jovi just makes it feel epic. “She Don’t Know Me”, “Silent Night”, “Never Say Goodbye”, “Without Love”, “I’ll Be There For You”, “Living In Sin”, “In These Arms”, “Always”, “This Ain’t A Love Song” - all great.
Thank you Jon for giving more than 100% of your efforts and singing above your range. I'll never understand why people mock his current inability to sing when he's given us so many decades of beautiful art. Just a good guy. Kudos to Richie, his right hand man and the rest of the band.
I went to every single tour of Bon Jovi from the 80s until beginning 2000. It was amazing performance and we can listen the concert and not see camera. And yes their concert were amazing.
I myself have listened to this amazing group when I first heard them with "Runaway" which I believe was their very first hit. I have enjoyed listening to them since without a bad song from them. Jon has an amazing voice and can still perform very well to this day.
I love love love Bon Jovi I have every single album this is song is one of the best love songs . Jon just has the best voice for these types of songs.. Bon Jovi fan forever
I wasnt a huge fan of them early on but the album Keep the Faith came out, I recognized how their music matured and Jon's voice accompanied the music better than before. I agree too he is one of the best voices in Rock music .
This was one of my favorite bands of the 80s. Their Slippery When Wet Tour covered the continents selling out by each showing and their albums charting multi platinum. It was definitely something to live through and attend those concerts. And to see them continue after that success with hits like this was great. They'll always be a favorite.
Their concerts are non stop energy, from the band and the crowd. You don’t sit, you sing and dance. Jon gives 100% every single time. I haven’t missed a tour since 1986. And I won’t miss the next ones even if they aren’t the same as they once were.
Love this song but don't forget to give Richie Sambora the credit he deserves. Not just guitar but an outstanding vocalist in his own right. His backing vocals add a ton to this, and every other, song.
Keep the faith album biggest story was Jon and everyone cut their hair. Keep the faith is great album..from songs like Keep the faith, dry country, if I was your mother, I believe, sleep when I'm dead, fear.
Ok, guys, this is weird. I was just thinking to myself this morning that I wish you two would react to this song. It's been in my head for two days straight. And what do you know, I get home, and there you guys have done it! Amazing! Thank you so much. You definitely made me smile.
Shout out to New Jersey John for a little man had a big voice all the girls love Jon Bon Jovi and all the guys in New Jersey wanted to be him LOL very underrated vocals
Definitely one of the most impactful power ballads ever... I haven't heard this in a long time... Thank you for reacting to this one... Great job as usual again , guys...Keep being awesome !!!...
This is probably my favorite rock ballad. I feel that a lot of male singers, when singing about love, say what a woman wants to hear, while this song says what the man actually feels. I am wording it poorly, but basically like the most masculine love song I have heard.
I am in New Zealand and have seen them three times. The These Days Tour, Bounce Tour and Lost Highway tour. Our venues are not as large as overseas, so we don't have the fireworks, etc, but they don't need that. Their stage presence and playing/singing abilities are more than enough.
Bon Jovi did an Unplugged back in the day. Well worth it. Even playing acoustic, they still hit those impactful moments. Well worth the watch if you can find a copy. Would make a great reaction, comparing them to the studio versions you've already listened to.
I heard Jon Bon Jovi being interviewed on Canadian media one time in the early 90s and the interviewer posed what I assumed was supposed to be a gotcha question and he asked John Bon Jovi why he wasn't more creative in his live shows and why he sounded like his studio versions? And Jon Bon Jovi gave the perfect answer he said: "These songs and music don't belong to me, they belong to my fans, those songs are memories of the first time they heard them and I don't have the right to take those memories away from them".
6 things rush through my head when I listen to this song: 1. Nothing beats the combination of beautiful lyrics and good music 2. What is it about New Jersey that makes good songwriters (Bon Jovi, Springsteen, Sinatra)? 3. Richie Sambora (voice & guitar) was half the soul of that band 4. No one can scream for you like Jon did 5. How can a singer go from having such a perfect voice to, when older, having such a nasal voice? 6. Will there ever be another Bon Jovi group out there?
I will only reply to #5 and 6, Jon is much older now, so the voice sometimes goes away with age, also Jon really damaged his voice singing songs like this one, while it sounds great, those higher than high notes really take their toll. No there will not be another band like Bon Jovi , because, unfortunately Rock music is dead and has been for several years now , I wish it wasn't, but it is.
Rock like this from the 70s 80s 90s will never be the same! Bon Jovi, GnR, Def Leapard Aerosmith, Zeppelin, Floyd, Heart, etc! These groups were built in the streets, schools, in the garage in the parks, pubs clubs and buses sleeping in motels, campers cars😂 They were friends who played the instruments and wrote the music and Rocked it. The Artists did it for you... Nowadays its all done for them.

Jon Bon Jovi is the most beautiful man I have ever seen, not only great eye candy but he is an amazing singer and actor.👏👏👏👏👏👏
Such a great, beautiful performance
He has a mountain top voice is one the most amazing analogies I’ve heard. It clicked with a powerful visual immediately.
You should react to Born to be my Baby by Bon Jovi. It is a great song and J would love the bass part
Yes!! Love that song! Well. All of his. But definitely not one to miss.
6 things rush through my head when I listen to this song:
1. Nothing beats the combination of beautiful lyrics and good music
2. What is it about New Jersey that makes good songwriters (Bon Jovi, Springsteen, Sinatra)?
3. Richie Sambora (voice & guitar) was half the soul of that band
4. No one can scream for you like Jon did
Bon Jovi's concerts are amazing and have some of the coolest productions you'll see. If they do another tour, you gotta go see them!
Ahh! I was in the audience in the last part, New Year's Eve 1992 (hence, balloons and champagne); awesome show!
I saw them in concert in 1989 and it was spectacular 🎉🎉
This is Jon's soft side,so good! The one that really makes my heart skip a beat is called,You Wanna Make a Memory? It's a MUST!💋🎙🎶
Rock like this from the 70s 80s 90s will never be the same!
