I'm upset that the new Super Mario Bros DS style isn't in Mario Maker 2. Because I'm sick of hearing the Wii U soundtrack I want to hear the DS soundtrack again.
they should added assets from New Super Mario Bros. DS and 2, includes the Raccoon, Blue shell, Mega and mini mushrooms, and even the backgrounds and music and tiles.

Alright. I guess it's time to go and finally figure out how to mod my Switch. Edit: Yeah nevermind. I looked it up and was warned that my Switch could be banned from online and other issues can occur if I mod my Switch. As much as I want this mod, I won't risk losing my ability to play online. This mod isn't worth not being able to play Splatoon 2, Ultimate Chicken Horse, HFF, Smash, Fortnite, MK8, etc. Not even to mention that my Switch Lite has to check the internet every time I use a downloaded game because that is the weird way Nintendo decided to set it up. I wouldn't be able to play a single downloaded game, and now that I think about it SMM2 would also be locked away so it would defeat the purpose of getting this mod.
Everything about this is really cool and impressive... except for the sound effects. They should change those to the original sound effects from NSMB DS. I don’t know how to tell the creators of this mod that, but the most I can do is comment on here. Hope they see this.
I want this game style to be added for nostalgia and the power ups. Also I think it would be cool if the resolution matched the ds’s because seeing it clearly is weird having played the game on the ds
I was surprised that NSMBDS didn't make it into SMM2. It would be weird to have basically an exact copy of the NSMBU style in SMM2... But it's Nintendo
Why couldn’t Nintendo choose this game-style instead of NSMBU? I know NSMBU is more modern, but this game style is more charming and nostalgic compared to the latter. They should’ve at least implemented it as a sub game-style along with NSMBWii.
This is awesome, although personally I wouldn't have added the spin, I sorta like the original game's challenges where you gotta walljump without the ability to spin, unless you can personally change the settings for wall jump and spin independently from world settings which is already available in a different mod (thank God), otherwise, I fucking love this
What about a Lost level style, SMB2 style, SMW2 style (So you play as a Yoshi) , SM64 style, SML style, SM3DL style, Oddesey style and the most important ones... ... A SMM1 style and a... ...this deserves pin style

This is awesome. I loved the Airship theme, i need a full version. But animations on nsmb were WAY smoothier than this mod's (Piranha Plant, Wiggler, Hammer Bro, Pokey, Bomb Omb's and Buzzy's legs) also, Mario seems a bit bigger than Koopas, Hammer Bros and Thwomps, they should fix that
My thoughts; The current scope of Super Mario Maker mods is still in an early Brawl stage (I'd say pre-Project M), where competent mods exist, but they are built on top of something from the base game, so the original assets would have to be sacrificed upon installation (I still remember when early versions of the playable Waluigi mod replaced Pit). I haven't yet seen any SMM/SMM2 mods that have been fully completed, let alone any that go the extra mile. But from what I've seen here, this is probably as complete as one can currently get.
I heard there was a ds version of smm. This was a missed opportunity to put this style in that version to make it seem more unique... they couldve put things from the actual game even to make it worth buying!
This is my No.1 ask for SMM3. I am hoping they add the Mini Mushroom & the Mega Mushroom to all styles except Wonder (which is bound to be included). I would replace the Propeller Mushroom with the Blue Shell and the the Super Acorn with the Super Leaf. I would also add the Golden Fire Flower too.
