      I've been saying this since last year. He was a rookie look at his stats. I know he missed the biggest kick of the season. He is not as bad as people say he is He will be much improved in his second season.This was his first time kicking in the national football league.It's not as easy as you think Unless you play in a dome week in week out you have the elements to deal with Mason Made some big kicks in his career , but he was not as good As people pretend he was. Look at his percentages. He was not a great kicker. Yes, he made some clutch. Kicks, I'll give him that . This guy will be just fine .

      I agree. Its pretty amazing. Going into the preseason, it looked like we had one of the worst WR groups and a QB we were praying wouldn't embarrass us. 7,8 games into the season we looked like a disaster and needed to draft a QB this upcoming year and we might have a couple of nice pieces to work with on offense. And then the seasons ends and we have a franchise QB and our offense is loaded with skill players. Now we have that and what looks like a loaded defense and don't have to deal with Joe Barry. Gonna be an exciting year. Gotta have good kicking. That's the only weakness I see

    What is most amazing to me about E. Cooper is his reaction time when he decides to do anything,,, it's very very quick, and he's on you... NOW. This is NFL type defense. You have to go to it and can't wait... Edgerrin, if you work extremely hard, and study offenses as hard as the best, you will be great. There are a lot of gifted athletes, but most of these can't put it all together. You can, but Jerry Rice became Jerry Rice because of his work ethic. You could be elite. Good luck. You have been blessed by nature with the potential.

  • @TimHartl-i1c

    A good O-line makes the whole team better. Suddenly your QB has time to throw, your receivers have time to get open, and your RBs have holes to run through. You are moving downfield, getting 1st downs, giving your defense time to rest, giving your kicker more FG chances, and your punter isn't in his own end zone. Your field position is better consistently, making decisions by your O and D coordinators easier. A solid, smart, deep O-line makes your whole team better.

  • @Glenn-vn7if
    @Glenn-vn7if 7 місяців тому +7

    I am super excited to see this new defense under Hafley. One big question is...how long will it take for this new D scheme to completely jell? The other new element that I think you're under selling are the new RBs, Jacobs and Lloyd. Lloyd has to improve his ball security and pass pro. However, if he does, this duel threat running attack should be more consistent, better balance the offense, aid in time of possession and help keep the D fresh and off the field. I am extremely excited to see how it all plays out. The Pack's window to the Super Bowl is now open. Go Pack Go!

    Jordan Love had the one turnover vs the 49ers where he forced it that costs GB (and they still should have won with made field goals)... Outside of that he was great. This won't be a Kansas City situation at all. They will be able to score and defend this year. They won't be playing not to lose. They will be aggressive on both sides. They have the pieces.

    We can’t ignore the fact that our defense under Joe Berry played well enough in 2 playoffs to get to a Super Bowl. Our special teams blew those games. We lost to San Fran 13-10 in 2022 because of a blocked punt for a TD and Rodgers couldn’t move the ball.
    We lost this last year because Carlson missed a FG to take a 7 point lead and Love threw 2 4th quarter INTs.

    I have a theory. Offenses have the edge in the NFL. You really have to work harder and draft smarter to build a defense that can compete against the offensive edge teams enjoy in the NFL.
    You likely have to spend twice the draft capital to defend an NFL offense. If you're an exceptional GM you find some fillers in the middle of the draft. This is exactly what seems to be happening with the Packers.

      The thing is scoring has been going down especially last year ever since that superbowl kc lost teams have been playing 2 high safety and hellla zone I think I res its 70% of the time last year and they ain't letting people just get the deep ball ever since then look at the Elite qbs they play the short to medium game now defense has definitely finally caught up and punching back compared to the last decade

  • @Onelove2000

    2 dropped INT's, we were stopped on fourth down in the first half. We were moving the ball and running it down the 49ers throat.We should have been up by at least 14 points in the 4th and probably more. We were dominating that game. So many missed opportunities. The idea that Carlson blew the game is ridiculous. He sure didnt help things out but we dominated that game until the last 7 minutes. Losing Zach Tom did not help. Love didnt play the same with Royce Newman in and the stats show it pre Tom injury and then Newman playing. Look at Newmans PFF grade for the game and his stats. It was brutal. But what a freaking great season. I think Jordan Love missed some opportunities using his legs agaisnt the Niners.That will come with growth but think about it. With all the weapons we have, he will have plenty of chances to move the ball with his legs this year. Love didnt have a fluke year. Once he got comfortable, he made some throws that only elite quarterbacks make. I expect for him to have a monster year and be in the MVP conversation at the end of the year

    The GB offense has a good chance to be unstoppable IF the Oline continues high level play as they did last year. Jordan has too many weapons, plus the addition of Jacobs & a potential homerun wildcard in Lloyd, along with a finally healthy Watson, will create matchup nightmares for D coordinators. The offense will need to carry the D until they get the new scheme down & some really promising rookies acclimated to the NFL. Bullard, Cooper, Williams & Oladapo can make decent contributions & the Dline can stop the run this team could be great.
    I expect them to make a serious run this season, but they may fall short of the SB. They’ll likely dethrone the Lions for the NFC north title because they have more depth than the Lions do. 2025 will be their SB year.
