    I kind of like the media sleeping on the Packers. All us Packers fans know they are contenders.

    • @thewizardofoz511
      @thewizardofoz511 5 днів тому

      They're not sleeping, they probably trying to protect themselves from not being played again from the Jaguars pulling a fast one on them in 2022.. the Packers look too similar to the 2022 Jaguars.. Don't dare look up the Record, and how their season ended.. and don't ask how their fans were acting that season in the off-season 2023 and the media was saying about Trevor Lawrence... If you do find the answer to those as a Packers fan, it will creep you out!..😬😵‍💫

      @@thewizardofoz511 The jags don't really win a lot generally though, the packers are a winning organization, they don't accept losing seasons. Even if it were a repeat of last season that's still wild card bound. They've added an actual safety and a fast one at that, not just draft and develop like normal. Ja ain't going to be the weak link, the run D was the only real blemish on the defense other than barry's terrible play calling and pretty clear lock room morale problem thanks to his inabilities as a coach. A year 2 kicker might be the weak link again, but hey i bet he won't do as bad as last season. It's not even possible to pull a jags if you're a winning organization.

      @@lolnocody while all that is likely true Jordan Love is the one to have concerns about.. teams have video on him now of the IMPROVED version of Love.. not the rookie first half.. now it will be up to him to see how he can adjust once again to these much improved teams.. the Packers success really rides on him getting out to a fast start imo.. too many good teams in our conference and the Lions are no joke and are SuperBowl contenders themselves.. they eliminated all of their weaknesses.. so the way they lost all their games due to the secondary won't even be there anymore.. the 49ers are pretty much the same, which is a problem.. the Eagles should be better with their additions and some new personnel.. Rams May be a low-key dark-horse team,.. oh and the Bears will be a problem.. they're going to be annoying like the Lions just not as good

    Packers fan so I'm biased but I do feel the Packers are legit Super Bowl contenders. A lot of very talented young players who have grown together with a QB who not only could be elite but seems like a very good leader. Lots of talent on D and a new aggressive DC. GoPackGo 💚💛💚💛💚💛💚💛💚💛💯

    Love had to grow with those young wrs, they started slow and lafluer said he held back some of the playbook. Once the offense started to gel they opened up the playbook and the growth began. It's only going to get better from here.

    The Packers are 100% a SB contender.
    Behind Henry, Jacobs faces the most stacked boxes in the NFL, with that WR core the offense will put up 3 TDs a game.
    Defensively if the LBs can play down in hill forcing more team to pass on 3rd and longs and playing tight coverage (while all of ours DBs excel in man) the defense will be 12th or better.
    That defensive under Hafley will cause problems, already packed with Championship pedigree from college. (yeah different but NFL but that matters)
    New Kickoff rules will aid in short fields with a 2x All Pro Kick Returner fielding kicks.
    And Lafleur has been to the edge and has been in those situations, but now fully in control with a QB capable of running HIS offense and doing at an elite level.
    You rarely will get an NFL roster this young, this good, and that majority have just broke the mold and have already done historic things together in there first year.
    Not even fandom here but it's just highly unlikely they will finish worse than what they did before, and last year they beat the SB champions H2H, Lions, toe to toe (in control of the game for the most part with San Fran who is a SB team), and demolished a roster that is clearly better than the avg team in the league in the Cowboys.
    This Packers team is dangerous.
    GoPackGo

    I worry a little about the high expectations that are already being placed on Love & the entire squad. Because of their finish I get it but I need to see the improvement with the defense especially against the run and how they adapt to the new 4-3 scheme. Injuries always play a part in it as well & their depth will be challenged when those happen. Can the Offensive line gel together consistently? Let’s keep it real & not jump to high YET. I hope they do but let’s proceed with caution

    I mean, the Packers played 3 of the 4 teams that made it to the championship games, beat 2 of them, and were the better team for 55 minutes against the Niners. Assuming the young team takes a step forward, and if the defense can get to top 15 with having a new DC, it's perfectly understandable why they are viewed as possible Superbowl contenders.

    They're behind at least 3 teams in the NFC, San Francisco, Detroit and Philadelphia. If they make the playoffs it will most likely be as a wildcard again. The Rams with McVey and a healthy Stafford are also a threat.

    • @DEILLANYG
      @DEILLANYG 5 днів тому

      I don't think the rams will be much if kupp can't get back his old self. Big if and Puka can only take them so far. So why do you believe the lions are better than the packers?? I'll tell you right now I'll take Watson, Reed, Doubs, Wicks over anything Detroit is bringing to the table. Throw in tucker kraft along with Luke Musgrave at TE. You get outside of St Brown, LaPorta and Gibbs who is Detroit relying on?? Packers are the deepest team in the NFC especially on the offensive side of the ball. I'd be hard pressed to put them behind anyone in the NFC.

    The packers were the best team in football at the end of the year. They absolutely blew the #2 seed out of the water and against the 49ers they looked like the better team for the entire game but for whatever reason the 49ers closed it out. Mental slips and mistakes added up at the end but they looked like the better team against the best roster in football. The cowboys had the 2nd best roster and the blew the brakes off them. The packers had clear holes last year at S and LB which are now strengths. They also had a load of talent on defense who were playing the wrong defense. Hafley if going to get more stops and more turnovers. They will win games this year on defense when the offense struggles. The defense is going to get Love better field position and take away a for extra positions in scoring position. Purdy got 22 interceptions last season! His stats would look completely different if he didn’t get 22 extra possessions, mostly near the red zone making easy scores.

    This year will certainly be a truer test of what they are than last year was. Just look at their strength of schedule last year compared to this year. They only beat 2 teams last year that would be considered good and many of their losses were downright embarrassing. I believe they only played 4 teams with winning records and 2 of them finished only 1 game over .500, just like the Packers did. Rodgers last year they finished 8-9 finishing with the Lions in their last game. Last year they finished 9-8, one game better while finishing with the Bears. The margin between what was a mediocre team and what Packer fans consider a good team is razor thin. I also feel the lack of veteran leadership will eventually cost them.

    Can't run the ball, can't stop the run is the Packer mantra. Hasn't gotten them to the show in LeFluer's time. Besides, isn't his record against that crude cowboy Campbell, like, 2-4? I should mention the 49er history of running them over in the playoffs, but it's an old tune. Me of little faith, eh?

  • @Pnw208
    @Pnw208 4 дні тому

    The packers looked like the better team than the best rosters in the league with the youngest roster in NFL history. I took a few weeks to get the receivers running the right routes. Loves accuracy looked terrible because he’s a system Qb throwing on time in rhythm to where the receiver is supposed to go and the first half the season the receivers were all running the wrong routes. It looked like he was missing by a mile but he never gave up trust for the receivers and kept throwing to the right spot. Eventually they figured it out and this group of year 1,2 receivers who are all day 2-3 guys. They don’t have any elite weapons or veterans. Love has also put in the extra effort to have the guys over to his house in the off season to train privately. Love has also been to every off season practice being a leader and building chemistry. They will no get off to a slow start like they did last year on offense and on defense this if going to be night and day. They packers have drafted players for. An agressive man style defense 4/3 for several years while making their aggressive guys adjust to play passive defense. Hafley has a to. Of 1-2nd round picks who are elite athletes and his scheme is going to bring out the best in these guys. It’s not that they got the best Saftey in the league where it was a weakness. It’s that they have several other players who could potentially be the best at their positions when used correctly. The special teams rules seem to heavily benefit GB as well so I thing this is the first year on my 35 year life that we literally have no weaknesses. We may have the clear #1 offense but that’s with the worst ST in the league and a bottom 10defnese. Capped off by the worst starting cornered in the league. You can’t win like that post season. You need a well rounded team with a good mindset. I think the packers are going to shock people this year and really take off. I do think next year and the year after are going to be their peak though so if they don’t make the SB this year they are have the money to keep the whole team together because they are cheap and young with minimal big contracts coming up. They will be able to take positions that are good but lack a star, or are good but need death and really fine tune the roster over the next 3 years without blowing the bank. If they are agressive in free agency and the draft like they have been at getting top guys we could add an elite receiver, edge, and corner over the next 3 seasons and this will be the best roster top to bottom in the whole league. Period. They’ve never had that

      You realize that if they'd have had 1 play (on either offense or defense) go differently against the Niners, they'd likely have gone to the Superbowl last year, right? I think they'd have handled the Lion in the NFC Championship game, so if they'd have held that lead against the Niners, they'd ALREADY have been there.
      Not many teams can say they were that close (a couple of plays) away. If they were that close last year, now they've got guys with another year under their belt, now have playoff experience, a new defensive coordinator, AND I like the draft moves they made. I'd be shocked if they didn't get as least as far this coming year as they did last year.
