Exploring the Altissimo Register for Tenor Saxophone - Volume 3

This tutorial builds on the prior volumes in the series by expanding the range on the tenor saxophone another three semitones from Volume 2 up to Bb above high C.
Fingerings and alternate fingerings for altissimo Ab, A and Bb are discussed with the resulting notes demonstrated as part of major arpeggios.
The prerequisites for exploring the super high range of the tenor saxophone are discussed with a reminder that trying to play too high, too soon, most often results in disappointment and discomfort to the player who has yet to build the requisite embouchure strength.
The importance of developing the inner ear is further discussed.
