Exploring the Altissimo Register for Tenor Saxophone Volume 2

This tutorial follows on from the first in the series and explores the two octave G Major Scale and G Major Chord as well as the G Minor Chord up to altissimo G on the tenor saxophone. The musical use of the altissimo notes vs 'squeaks' is discussed with the focus being on genuinely expanding the player's ability to incorporate the new high notes as part of their standard playable range.
The tutorial ends with an sax improvisation with band backing on a 12 bar blues in G where the newly defined altissimo high 'G' is used musically in a real life playing situation.
