With her elfin demeanor, grainy vocals and deeply narrative lyrics, Lucy Rose will melt your heart. But don't be fooled... she's got a feisty side to her delicate form.
Having spent the last few years gigging around the UK, we saw Lucy Rose at The Great Escape Festival back in May. Matt was introduced to her through David J Roch's manager and he was relentless in his pursuit of a session with her despite her busy schedule. We finally managed to steal an afternoon of her time in Angel in a local park near the picturesque canals.
Singing a brand new song, Lucy seemed at first very uncomfortable with the intimacy of the filming but she soon relaxed into it. The animation, using ivy branches from the park, came from the lyrics expressing an old lover, entangled in the past, torn between going back to them and the reality of that past not being what it was meant to be.
With a couple more live dates including some awesome festival appearances coming up in the next few weeks, catch this girl before she goes from "one to watch" to one everyone's watching!

Am I the only one that sees the emotion in her face while she's singing? She looks so sad; her eyes, and her facial expressions. Like they almost tell a story and she gives this song a meaning of her own. Maybe not, maybe I'm just too sad at the moment and overthinking things lol. Anywho, beautiful song, beautiful voice

I knew this song from mushishi , one day i went to a lucy rose concert, and she played this song, i didnt remeber it was the song from mushishishi, then the other day i was listening to the sore feet song and after youtube played shiver with mushishisi background i made the conection incredible!

I loved mushi shi so much when it had the sore feet song, and I loved Lucy rose before they used shiver in mushi shi, now that both of them are so perfectly combined they have become my all time favorite song and anime

I always find myself coming back and watching this video. It just fills an empty part inside of my body with warmth... Lucy has such an angelic voice.
Wow, I'm a big fan starting right now. What a great song. I've listened to about 3 different versions now (classroom sessions, KEXP ,and cardinal sessions), but this is still my favorite recording. It captures your voice like none of the others, and I think it is hard to harmonize with you, as your voice is so unique. This is an incredible song all in its own right, as well.
Everytime I hear her songs, it not only touches my heart but it touches my soul.. her songs make me feel like my soul and body collide.
