Just a FYI on Armada Prime PE, the exhaust pipes on the arm are connected by a 5mm peg so you can remove them if you wish and use them as pistols (but you cannot combine them because they're not filleted) and in the Super Mode Optimus has backwards compatibility with the original Armada Overload toy from 20 years back. You can actually recreate the Magna Weapon combination using the old Overload and the new Armada Optimus, it's insane.

SG grimlock is a baby trypticon and you can't convince me otherwise. also, I quite like thee bay-style designs, especially stratosphere. I can't explain why but stratosphere just looks so cool to me
@@PerspectiveEnd The hand isn't attached to the back plate so that doesn't rotate, just the hand. The reason the back plate is there is to hide the hands in vehicle mode obviously, the original toy had a sliding transformation to reveal the hands in robot mode but the new one does away with that and just made it as it is. There is enough of a gap between the hand and the back plate that the wrist can swivel.
I really like Stratosphere's design except for the moustache because the face is alright, just have no robo hair and it would look way better, but the design isn't final
The holiday prime mold should be a nova prime figure in the future….hopefully….i watched the basics on nova prime. When i saw the legs of nova, holiday prime mold has it. So im hoping that it would be a thing in the future.
I honestly am fine with every ROTB design. I really like the aesthetic of the first 3 bay movies so these being like more humanoid versions of those just makes me happy. For those wondering why I only mention the first 3 movies, it’s because those have unique designs and are actually possible to make good transforming figures of that aren’t 3p or masterpiece. Also I think stratosphere looks like what movie Jetfire could have been. As for transit, that is the one of the coolest movie designs I’ve ever seen, the terrifying insect head, the unique alt mode, the standout white armour, the lights, and the clever incorporation of the bus tires into the legs.

You know what I'm noticing that I haven't seen anyone else mention Transit is said to be a Terrorcon, but he has a Decepticon emblem on his forehead Wonder if that's a mistake or if there's some kind of story behind it
The original Armada Optimus toy had transparent guns to accommodate one of the toy's gimmicks. There is a little light in his hand (much like the original G2 Laser Optimus being named such for the "lasers") that makes the gun light up when held by his combined mode hand.
It just perplexes me how deep in terms of obscurity Hasbro has been willing to dive into as of late with all this new Legacy Evolution stuff, because this all feels like Botcon era exclusive redeco/retool material. ESPECIALLY that War Dawn 2 Pack, though I imagine they'd probably put it together with the Hero is Born 2 Pack from yesteryear if it was an actual Botcon set but I digress. The thing I'm most excited for personally was the Shattered Glass Grimlock, if not for the awesome Trypticon colors, then it would be just the idea that people have another shot at this mould. Though given how much SS86 Grimlock is going for on the aftermarket, makes me fear that this figure will be scalped to hell and back like the Soundwave.
!SPOILERS FOR TRANSIT IN ROTB! According to leaks and test screenings Transit will be the only Decepticon in the ROTB. Oh and he will also get killed in one of the first movie scenes in an epic battle with Optimus Prime. Presumably he was cut from the movie but they've probably either kept him in the final movie or they will just have him a few toys. He will also transform into a bus.
Amazon prime is a missed opportunity. Amazon has a truck with a white voval cab and a blue trailer with the amzon prime logo on it. Im pretty shure its one of there main delivery trucks. Sometimes they have a black cab so they could even do a nemesis prime repaint
I still think that Wheeljack COULD get redesign. The art that we saw are old concept art, like how arcee has light on her chest in the art, but no lights on her movie model. Furthermore, both the diecast and studio series were pulled. I think the reason they showed of the mainline deluxe wheeljack may be that it's too late to change, yet they can hide behind it being concept art, that there is going to be a finalized wheeljack in studio series that looks closer to the film. Edit: I just heard that WJ, Stratosphere and Transit were cut removed from the website that they were found on Anyways, if you could make an autobots team of 12 (7 bots and a team of 5) for a transformer show, who would you choose, with what altmode and what personality woukd you give them. Also, apparently we only learned about them because of manipulation of URL, i.e. were weren't supposed to see them.
Aw dammit, I really wanted Crimbomus to be done as G2 Hero OP, since he has trhe right cab shape and hood-to-legs transformation for it. The reveal doesn't look BAD, but the holiday deco is actually better than the tstandard version, and that's a shocking thing to ever have come out of my keyboard.
I can't wait to finish my studies and to start my career in cinema so people like you could have ACUTUAL GOOD Transformers movies. Sure, the PoTP prototype Armada Prime was cool, but I'm glad the Legacy is going for super accuracy instead, cause we already have stylised take by FansHobby. He might actually be the last figure I choose to get. Also, don't worry, he's got normal wrist swivels. And shoulders would've been the hot rod kind anyways. I'm honestly willing to call this the best commander, the best of both worlds (menasor, skyfire) - it's got absurdly accurate voyager core robot and awesomely updated combined form which doesn't need any extra stuff to look complete and can be formed without any partsforming.
To be fair though the FansHobby 1 is not even 1/10th as Stylized as that PotP one. I'm definitely willing to put it over Menasor at this point, considering how the whole team turned out, but I will save judgment for best Commander when he's actually out.

New Transformers stuff was revealed. And a refresher on stuff that's on the way. -Shattered Glass Grimlock looks awesome. Was officially revealed a while back. Looking forward to his pre-order in April. Also like the fan art of baby G1 Grimlock and baby SG Grimlock playing in the sandbox. -Armada Optimus Prime, the next commander class of Legacy for Evolution. He looks awesome. He was my first introduction to Optimus Prime. Trailer base mode could have been better. But the combine mode is awesome as hell. Someone took photos of him doing the transform and combine and the maximum blast sequence from the Armada show. And that dude Protoman from the Transformers Slag Podcast made a side by side comparison with the animation scene. Great stuff. -Legacy isn't done with War Dawn, as the Evolution exclusive is Ariel and Dion. Not a fan of her name change, which is just switching the letters e and a to be Erial. Guessing it's because of Disney with their Ariel the mermaid. But I do like how she looks in Prime Arcee's robot and motorbike modes. And with some remolding and added parts, Dion looks more like his one G1 cartoon appearance. I honestly like the before and after photos, that someone who was able to buy this 2 pack early, of them with POTP Orion Pax. And of their future rebuild selves as Ultra Magnus, Elita 1, and Optimus Prime. -Another seeker will be flying in, as a listing for Nacelle was leaked. Sounds cool. Looking forward to the SDCC listings that was found along side Nacelle. -And Rise of the Beast release character renders of Mirage with battle mask, Freezer, Scourge, Nightbird, Stratosphere, Wheeljack, and Transit with a battle hammer. Looking forward to the movie. Wish Wheeljack's head was change, as there was no reason to change it from the Bumblebee movie in the first place. But at this point, if they did, they would delay the movie further to make the editing changes. And the movie has been delay enough. Let's see the movie Paramount. -The holidays are way past over, so Optimus Prime now has his volvo truck in his G1 colors. And it looks good. I won't get it. But hope for those who will, enjoys it.
Grimlock will always look good in that mold. If that was your first Optimus, than Hotshot was your first Bumblebee. You keep telling me this stuff like it's news to me. No comments on the "scourge is bayverse Optimus" theory? I also just don't get why they'd make the Volvo licensed toy a generic G1 colored Optimus when the G2 Hero Optimus design pretty much makes itself. Also, I can't tell if I'm going nuts, but I think they went back to the Siege/ER headsculpt rather than the cool new one the Christmas one had.
Well I heard about that Theory after I recorded this, and no, I put no stock into it, it's just models getting reused for cheapness. If they did go back I will riot.
Thoughts on the reveals: SG Grimlock: cool. Armada-mus Prime: I'm uninterested about Armada, but it looks cool. Dion and Ariel: mediocre. Nacelle: uninterested in the figure. ROTB renders: yes, they are concept art/promo renders. ROTB Mirage: His chest is SLIGHTY different and his helmet colours were changed for the final film to look more like G1 Mirage, which was so late into production that the old helmet colours were in the December Teaser. ROTB Freezer: Agree ROTB Scourge: I hate this render. Also, SS Scourge is starting to release, which I am excited for. ROTB Nightbird: an alright design, gives me Bumblebee Shatter vibes. ROTB Stratosphere: agree. ROTB Wheeljack: the seatbelt forms overalls. ROTB Transit: agree. Also, both Stratosphere and Transit are voiced by John DiMaggio, which is weird due to the contrasting designs. Amazon Prime: cool colours. This feels like what a non-flat nosed truck Prime should look like in robot mode.

Let me be the first to tell you (without spoiling anything) that you do not need to worry about posability when it comes to the Armada Optimus, like this guy might as well be a Armada studio series figure he's so good, the base robot alone is worth getting
The renders are very much unfinished. If you look at the super bowl teaser, you can notice how much more blue and gold is on him than these photos and the 2 toys we have so far (SS and mainline deluxe). It's because these are control art, concept art made for advertising and what the early toys of a movie would be based off of. It's why many first wave movie figures looked innacurate because they were based on concept made way earlier.
I can vouch from many early buyers of Armada Optimus. He has Hot Rod Shoulders in core Bot mode, not in Super Mode And for the whole RoTB line, I'm fully in the belief that outside Stratosphere and Transit, these are just old concepts going off of the fact this Arcee has a wholly different chest than the final movie design
How are people getting these so early. I didn't look too closely at the Arcee considering she's one of the characters we've gotten a really good look at already.
I am beyond estatic that theres a non festive VNR optimus coming out... I ended up getting the holiday release, and it was absolutely sublime... I hope they continue to redeco the mold into g2 hero prime too...

My opinions on the RotB designs: Optimus: Okay, but could’ve been better. Especially his gun arm. I personally like them if they’re done well, like the Cybertron games where you first need to pick up a weapon, as opposed to Prime whete they just have guns that can’t be removed. This is the latter. Bumblebee: Cool, I really love the old-school camaro as opposed to the modern one. As a sucker for old muscle cars, I dig his alt mode. Not so much the off road one. Arcee: Kinda cool, but not really interesting. Indifferent to her. Pablo: I actually like him. While I wish he has a battle mask that makes him look like the Bumblebee movie. Mirage: Decent, but kinda boring tbh. Stratosphere: I actually love everything except the cap and face. Optimus Primal: I wish his robot mode had more colors, but other than that I love his bot mode. Airazor: Okay. Not great, but not terrible. Cheetor: I don’t like cheetahs or Cheetor, so that’s already a knock against him. And his botmode just looks generic to me. Rhinox: Rhino mode looks fucking awesome. Bot mode looks okay, could use a bit more color. Scourge: Bland colors, but a decent body. I do like the sort of chain mail or cowl he has on his head, but that’s about it. Nightbird: Not very interesting to me. Same as Scourge, she’s quite bland with her colors minus a couple brighter details. Battletrap: Fucking amazing. Nice bright colors that pop, amazing battle mask, cool weapon and alt mode. I love him. Freezer: I really love the gremlin energy he has. While he looks like a generic monster, his dumbass face is almost appealing. Transit: Everything about him I like. Colors, design, the little crown he has, I just love him.
1 I feel like he was better in just the previous movie. 2 Bumblebee is a WEIRD mishmash of things. 3 Arcee's change is really boring. It just makes her look less interesting. 4 But Wheeljack's face doesn't normally look like BB? 5 To me it's too much a complete Chimera of other characters for me to have any tolerance to it. 6 So then you like the hunched over body is what I'm hearing? 7 Primal is so boring looking. Vague Optimus in Black. 8 Have we seen her full design. 9 What's wrong with Fast Cats? 10 More color could be used on a Lot of characters honestly. 11 See point 10. 12 I don't know that I'd call Night Bird Bland honestly. 13 Battletrap is definitely the stand out design here. Though what exactly is his face. 14 I feel like he just looks like a Million other Bay characters. 15 Transit is awesome.
And as for cheetahs, they are just terrible. They are lucky to live past a year because they have no survival skills at all. They can get chased away from their food by a couple vultures. Or a single hyena can rob multiple cheetahs. And the only sounds they make are bird noises. Cheetahs just fail at life in every was.
There's already a review for Legacy Armada Optimus, so if you don't want figure spoilers then don't read further But the figure is pretty much the original on steroids

One big thing I have of note to say about this control art is that this throws a lot of the leaks we thought were true out of the window, but that's its own tangled Web of he said she said. Now, here’s what I’ll say about the Volvo Optimus Prime. He has a kind of cool truck mode and a cool robot mode. But I have one major problem with him, and that’s because this Optimus has visible head syndrome. His head doesn’t tuck away into the main body of the truck like usual, instead his head folds out and ends up going on the bed of the truck; there’s an Optimus head-shaped section for it and everything. This wouldn’t be an issue if the bed was molded to have something on the bottom that covers the face of the head in the truck mode. But since the figure has that one flaw, I’m very iffy on getting this Optimus figure. By the way, I’m pretty sure you forgot to cover the mainline ROTB Scorponok, who also just had his scorpion mode revealed.

I don't have a problem with Stratosphere's body, but the head is a nightmare.
The Armada Prime's base robot's wrist can swivel to hide a little better when in alt mode. I saw a review of just the robot without the trailer.

I still think that Wheeljack COULD get redesign. The art that we saw are old concept art, like how arcee has light on her chest in the art, but no lights on her movie model. Furthermore, both the diecast and studio series were pulled. I think the reason they showed of the mainline deluxe wheeljack may be that it's too late to change, yet they can hide behind it being concept art, that there is going to be a finalized wheeljack in studio series that looks closer to the film. Aw dammit, I really wanted Crimbomus to be done as G2 Hero OP, since he has trhe right cab shape and hood-to-legs transformation for it. The reveal doesn't look BAD, but the holiday deco is actually better than the tstandard version, and that's a shocking thing to ever have come out of my keyboard.

Sure, the PoTP prototype Armada Prime was cool, but I'm glad the Legacy is going for super accuracy instead, cause we already have stylised take by FansHobby.
He might actually be the last figure I choose to get. Also, don't worry, he's got normal wrist swivels. And shoulders would've been the hot rod kind anyways. I'm honestly willing to call this the best commander, the best of both worlds (menasor, skyfire) - it's got absurdly accurate voyager core robot and awesomely updated combined form which doesn't need any extra stuff to look complete and can be formed without any partsforming.
To be fair though the FansHobby 1 is not even 1/10th as Stylized as that PotP one.
I'm definitely willing to put it over Menasor at this point, considering how the whole team turned out, but I will save judgment for best Commander when he's actually out.

Legacy armada Optimus kinda just looks like a downscale of the fans hobby version, either way I'm excited.
I don't know about that Personally, they were always going to look similar cause they are going for the same thing, but I don't think either will be too similar in execution.

-Shattered Glass Grimlock looks awesome. Was officially revealed a while back. Looking forward to his pre-order in April. Also like the fan art of baby G1 Grimlock and baby SG Grimlock playing in the sandbox.
-Armada Optimus Prime, the next commander class of Legacy for Evolution. He looks awesome. He was my first introduction to Optimus Prime. Trailer base mode could have been better. But the combine mode is awesome as hell. Someone took photos of him doing the transform and combine and the maximum blast sequence from the Armada show. And that dude Protoman from the Transformers Slag Podcast made a side by side comparison with the animation scene. Great stuff.
-Legacy isn't done with War Dawn, as the Evolution exclusive is Ariel and Dion. Not a fan of her name change, which is just switching the letters e and a to be Erial. Guessing it's because of Disney with their Ariel the mermaid. But I do like how she looks in Prime Arcee's robot and motorbike modes. And with some remolding and added parts, Dion looks more like his one G1 cartoon appearance. I honestly like the before and after photos, that someone who was able to buy this 2 pack early, of them with POTP Orion Pax. And of their future rebuild selves as Ultra Magnus, Elita 1, and Optimus Prime.
-Another seeker will be flying in, as a listing for Nacelle was leaked. Sounds cool. Looking forward to the SDCC listings that was found along side Nacelle.
-And Rise of the Beast release character renders of Mirage with battle mask, Freezer, Scourge, Nightbird, Stratosphere, Wheeljack, and Transit with a battle hammer. Looking forward to the movie. Wish Wheeljack's head was change, as there was no reason to change it from the Bumblebee movie in the first place. But at this point, if they did, they would delay the movie further to make the editing changes. And the movie has been delay enough. Let's see the movie Paramount.
-The holidays are way past over, so Optimus Prime now has his volvo truck in his G1 colors. And it looks good. I won't get it. But hope for those who will, enjoys it.

Apparently, the autobot badge on armada prime's back is detachable via 5mm port, which is kinda neat. Completely unnecessary, but neat.

I also just don't get why they'd make the Volvo licensed toy a generic G1 colored Optimus when the G2 Hero Optimus design pretty much makes itself. Also, I can't tell if I'm going nuts, but I think they went back to the Siege/ER headsculpt rather than the cool new one the Christmas one had.

SG Grimlock: cool.
Armada-mus Prime: I'm uninterested about Armada, but it looks cool.
Dion and Ariel: mediocre.
Nacelle: uninterested in the figure.
ROTB renders: yes, they are concept art/promo renders.
ROTB Mirage: His chest is SLIGHTY different and his helmet colours were changed for the final film to look more like G1 Mirage, which was so late into production that the old helmet colours were in the December Teaser.
ROTB Freezer: Agree
ROTB Scourge: I hate this render. Also, SS Scourge is starting to release, which I am excited for.
ROTB Nightbird: an alright design, gives me Bumblebee Shatter vibes.
ROTB Stratosphere: agree.
ROTB Wheeljack: the seatbelt forms overalls.
ROTB Transit: agree. Also, both Stratosphere and Transit are voiced by John DiMaggio, which is weird due to the contrasting designs.

Let me be the first to tell you (without spoiling anything) that you do not need to worry about posability when it comes to the Armada Optimus, like this guy might as well be a Armada studio series figure he's so good, the base robot alone is worth getting

The renders are very much unfinished. If you look at the super bowl teaser, you can notice how much more blue and gold is on him than these photos and the 2 toys we have so far (SS and mainline deluxe). It's because these are control art, concept art made for advertising and what the early toys of a movie would be based off of. It's why many first wave movie figures looked innacurate because they were based on concept made way earlier.

I can vouch from many early buyers of Armada Optimus.
He has Hot Rod Shoulders in core Bot mode, not in Super Mode
And for the whole RoTB line, I'm fully in the belief that outside Stratosphere and Transit, these are just old concepts going off of the fact this Arcee has a wholly different chest than the final movie design

My opinions on the RotB designs:
Optimus: Okay, but could’ve been better. Especially his gun arm. I personally like them if they’re done well, like the Cybertron games where you first need to pick up a weapon, as opposed to Prime whete they just have guns that can’t be removed. This is the latter.
Bumblebee: Cool, I really love the old-school camaro as opposed to the modern one. As a sucker for old muscle cars, I dig his alt mode. Not so much the off road one.
Arcee: Kinda cool, but not really interesting. Indifferent to her.
Pablo: I actually like him. While I wish he has a battle mask that makes him look like the Bumblebee movie.
Mirage: Decent, but kinda boring tbh.
Stratosphere: I actually love everything except the cap and face.
Optimus Primal: I wish his robot mode had more colors, but other than that I love his bot mode.
Airazor: Okay. Not great, but not terrible.
Cheetor: I don’t like cheetahs or Cheetor, so that’s already a knock against him. And his botmode just looks generic to me.
Rhinox: Rhino mode looks fucking awesome. Bot mode looks okay, could use a bit more color.
Scourge: Bland colors, but a decent body. I do like the sort of chain mail or cowl he has on his head, but that’s about it.
Nightbird: Not very interesting to me. Same as Scourge, she’s quite bland with her colors minus a couple brighter details.
Battletrap: Fucking amazing. Nice bright colors that pop, amazing battle mask, cool weapon and alt mode. I love him.
Freezer: I really love the gremlin energy he has. While he looks like a generic monster, his dumbass face is almost appealing.
Transit: Everything about him I like. Colors, design, the little crown he has, I just love him.

And as for cheetahs, they are just terrible. They are lucky to live past a year because they have no survival skills at all. They can get chased away from their food by a couple vultures. Or a single hyena can rob multiple cheetahs. And the only sounds they make are bird noises. Cheetahs just fail at life in every was.

I think some of the designs for rise of the beasts looks fine with some great designs here and there

We haven't seen anything majorly different from Bayverse in RoTB, like the Decepticons finding Earth, but we have seen Optimus with the same blades as Bayverse
Well, at least stratosphere doesn't look like close to his rotf toy design, and his overall silhouette reminds me of dropkick. One big thing I have of note to say about this control art is that this throws a lot of the leaks we thought were true out of the window, but that's its own tangled Web of he said she said. Finally, nightbird gives of bird vibes. Do I even need to finish this

Now, here’s what I’ll say about the Volvo Optimus Prime. He has a kind of cool truck mode and a cool robot mode. But I have one major problem with him, and that’s because this Optimus has visible head syndrome. His head doesn’t tuck away into the main body of the truck like usual, instead his head folds out and ends up going on the bed of the truck; there’s an Optimus head-shaped section for it and everything. This wouldn’t be an issue if the bed was molded to have something on the bottom that covers the face of the head in the truck mode. But since the figure has that one flaw, I’m very iffy on getting this Optimus figure.
By the way, I’m pretty sure you forgot to cover the mainline ROTB Scorponok, who also just had his scorpion mode revealed.
