    Liked the vid! I dont have the truck, but do have the motor stuffed into my 03 mustang.. didn't know I could delete that fitting on the Turkey pan. Did alot to the motor already and about to get some more parts soon and make another update vid soon. As of now it's a torque monster and loads of fun . Curious to see more vids from you as you proceed.

    Hey Brother, thanks to you my rebuild will take at least a year! In a good way. Where do I find the ARP studs and bolts and washers??? I going to do a FB video. The problem is that I have a 1999. 1999 and 2000 Lightnings have different parts from the the 2001 and on! From brake rotors to intake manifolds and a lot of other stuff! So hopefully I can help people with my same Lightning problems. Your videos are helping me immensely! I want to do the same thing for the 99-00 Lightning owners. I will make the video after I have gone through this truck 100 %! Thanks again! SVT E.

(Join "lightning garage" on facebook if you havn't, and ask for him there) That's what I did, told him what I needed, and he knew exactly what to get me! Good luck with your videos! Let me know when you do them so I can check them out!

    What size spacer did you go with 1/4, 3/8, 1/2, or 5/8”? Also I saw where you said something about the belt in another comment. Did you reuse the factory belts or buy another belt 1/2” longer?

    • @DebtLife_Projects
      @DebtLife_Projects  2 роки тому +1

      I went with the 5/8 to lift it as high as possible, with a 1/2 longer belt. You'll also need the studs/nuts that I have listed on the description. Not sure how getting those will be with supply chain issues going on, I'd look into them first lol

      Also, when you use the turkey 🦃 pan spacer, would’nt that cause you to use a different length supercharger belt?

    Could the Turkey pan elbow if leaking cause o2 sensor check engine lights? We have a friend with a lightning that won’t pass emissions Couse it has a check engine light. They have taken it to ford and they said they fixed it but then it comes back. The replaced the maf sensor, checked the o2 sensor under the truck. All he has is cold air and kooks catted headers. And an exhaust. Other than that it’s stock as can be. And a oil catch can but he’s still having problems and no one is able to figure it out.

    What size after market pulleys did you use and how can I lmr to know which ones are it

    • @DebtLife_Projects
      @DebtLife_Projects  5 років тому

      Lmr doesn’t carry the size I used. It’s a 10lb lower from metco. The pullies you buy are listed by the lb of boost increase. I wouldn’t get anything larger than a 6lb unless your motor is built, you’ll also need a maf upgrade with whatever pulley you get, and a good tune. I’ll be doing a video about this this weekend actually, a lot of good info will be in it, so be on the lookout for that 🤘

    Would you recommend using a vacuum line cap instead of a plug on the elbow fitting?

    • @DebtLife_Projects
      @DebtLife_Projects  2 роки тому +1

      No, I'd definitely use an npt plug with high temp thread sealant. Vacuum caps can come undone, especially when downstream from the blower that's under boost, a lot of pressure there. Npt plug is a permanent solution

    Lol every thing I search up ends up being the same guy. Your the modern lightning modder. I'm looking into buying a midplate spacer with the egr delete kit. Did you notice any difference with the Turkey pan spacer?

    • @DebtLife_Projects
      @DebtLife_Projects  5 років тому

      That’s awesome lol 😁 Egr delete was the best thing I’ve ever bought so good choice on that. I’ve yet to run the turkey pan spacer, but it’s good if your trying to squeeze every ounce of potential, only downside is that it’s kinda expensive for what ya get. You get lower iat2s and 5-10 horsepower, but on top of the cost for the spacer you’ll need longer studs/bolts ( if you get arp it’s expensive), the extra gasket, and to possibly have to knotch out your hood for the plenum to clear. I think it’s worth it, but I want everything I can get as far as pieces to the puzzle lol

      Nathan it ran perfect for about a year, I had it retuned by someone else, and it ate and burned the tips off of two sets of plugs and detonated real bad and caused the heads to lift and a bunch of damage. Sent the motor back to JDM Engineering and had them go back through it. Had to bore it .02 over, new pistons, and various new parts and basically rebuilt it again. Basically it’s all in the tune. Get it tuned on the safe side by a reputable lightning tuner. I’ll be using my local guy that tuned it to begin with, never had any problems with his tune besides it was a bit lazy. But I’d rather lazy and consistent than any more issues lol

    • @Nathan-wn5mc
      @Nathan-wn5mc 5 років тому +1

      @@DebtLife_Projects Damn that sucks.. Did JDM help out any with that or were you stuck paying for all of that. Crazy how it ran fine for a whole year and messed up later. I have some one tuning my vehicle that specials in fords. Lightnings and mustang's is what he specializes in. Just nervous man my truck has been sitting for 5 years.
