- In today's video, we are working on the built Ford SVT Lightning race truck build! We are cleaning the intercooler and intake manifold / turkey pan, and these parts were nasty! We soaked the intercooler in purple power and that went wrong, but we may have been able to save it. Check it out!

Hello, great video! I’m just a little confused with the procedure of the intercooler, did you rinse it off with water? Or did you just wipe it and blow air on it?

I recently cleaned, but it didn't look anywhere near that clean. That purple power is strong. I used the Awesome degreaser and it either isn't strong enough, or the stains on mine are really on there.

Pb blasters is your worst enemy. For anything other than busting bolts.

Looks like you have a metco 2.70 upper pulley, a metco 100mm auxiliary idler and a 9” 6psi crank pulley what size belt do you use ?
Ulises Flores close, you were right on the upper and idlers, but that’s a 10psi crank pulley. If you go on metco Motorsports, on the right side of the site there should be a supercharger belt recommendation, click that and there’s a chart with different combos and ways to figure belt size, that’s what I did.

In the future you’re going to want to plug the holes on the intercooler before letting it soak in purple power. To avoid damage to mid plate just remove it.

Hey everyone I really need help. So I have an 02' lightning and just put on new lower intake manifold/turkey pan gaskets. However, I don't know the torque specs for the bolts that hold them down. Can anyone please help?

I am completely freaking out after letting a very good mechanic give mine a work over. Its 117k miles. I dont have a house or family. But that truck is my rock/home when my family tells me im a failure for life choices. Yes im that Dr who got a dwi in a work car. I don't have any home base but feel super betrayed by the mechanic. He very much knows things. I should have just said new shocks don't touch anything. Is it 9:45am on a Saturday and havent eaten for 24 hours. The boost is so wrong its dead. It's a vehicle but has helped me survive things being a petite lady w no gun. I picked it up. The boost is chicken shit only 8psi. Normally I floor it instant more than 10 psi.
Yeah I'm a girl. I work hard. The mechanic is honest but the L is so rare most mechanics panic when they see it. Cannot stop crying. This is my escape rjde or die vehicle. That fact that the performance and boost is so lost it is serious. I always street race corvettes win yes girl in a factory. Now its spirit is gone! Part of me has died. I'm crying bc I have no support that truck is my rock my boost needs to work. Now it performs like just not good enough. The person rolls up does 3 honks I dont even try. It is so broken now. I am so upset. I'm grateful that anyone can even work on it. Biut it is the pamdemic. I can't save everyone this sucks I am doing very bad. I dont want any boosts or non factory crap on my baby because its cheating. Sorry to rant thanks for reading. No hate at the mechanic. He is great at knowing the vehicle aside from other people I know than own one. I am so sad I dont want to get all the high end audio stuff and wire it like a christmas toy. It can just just sit there. Garage, decent weather, a guy who could help me but Im am so utterly depressed. The drop of engine performance my 17 yr old son has died. So upset.
