I've been in the market for a ballistic helmet and found a lot of good reviews on this. Sub $500 isn't a bad price to try to get into a helmet build out. No NVGs but having some frag and ballistic protection along with built in ear protection I can hook in seems really useful.
Great video. DBR Customgear has some nice helmet covers for the PGD. Bulletproof zone has a couple as well. Let us know how the Otto mounts fit on the helmet. I sometimes hear accounts of people having issues with various mounts.
Thank you 🙏🏻 I ordered the PGD Ranger Green cover but have been browsing other options still. May switch it up at some point. The PGD cover arrives today so hopefully install tonight. Did give Otto’s brief test fit on one side and appeared to mount fine. I had seen reviews of others stating the ARC rails were too tight to fit their mounts. Is that the issue you were referencing?
@@itsmillartime6916 thanks for answering, yeah that’s the issue I was referring to. But I also heard mixed things about Peltor mounts and amp arms as well. I ordered a PGD helmet recently and I have amp arms so I’m gonna find out myself when it gets here. Hopefully it fits well
@@Saboteur_91 got helmet dialed in last night. Will do a video update soon but I did find the mounts I use you are unable to use the rear section of ARC rail. I tried all three positions back there and when I clamped the ear pro down it was not tight to my head. Getting attachments on and off the ARC rail I had no issues. Browsing PGD IG and looking at photos only examples of rear mounted I found were the AMP arms. Haven’t seen anyone use AMP Arms with Otto’s so doesn’t appear I have this option.
It will fit. I found Agilite actually has a page on their site about fitment. Additionally I inquired with someone on Instagram that was running the Agilite cover and he said cover was true to size so if you have a Large you’d want a Large cover.
That’s an interesting take. Pads just as straps or screws can be outsourced. Proof and point Ballistic Armor co uses the padding. However from what I’ve seen and read Ballistic Armor Co utilitizes Chinese manufacture. PGD however I’ve heard are pressed in Bulgaria and assembled in Denmark. Assembled would mean shell is shipped there then rails and straps are install… this leads to they are outsourced.

It’s a solid helmet for sure.
Very cool video brother. Very informative
Thank you 🙌 will follow up with build out update once cover and other equipment are install. Still highly debating the swap to dovetail.
You are the best, bro!! Awesome!
Thank you 🙏🏻 Pretty excited for this project.

Do the OpsCore rails fit on the PGD?
Haven’t attempted to swap the rails. That’s a good question though.
Hello!
Any ideea if some of the a
Agilite helmet cover will fit the PGD Arch?

Which helmet cover would work from Agilite? I see like 8 different versions from Opscore, Team Wendy and a few other models.
@@2amichaeljlooks like it should be the Opscore Fast
