very informative video. i do have a question though. what do reducing the triangles actually do? will it reduce the amount the game has to render making it run better? if so this is exactly what i need as im trying to optimise my game right now
@@blaqueaddonnisgames I've spent the last week optimising my textures to reduce file size and increase performance dramatically. So my next step should be reducing the triangle count? Also what's the difference between this method Vs going into the mesh itself and reducing the triangle count in there via the keep triangle percentage option?
@@RiverFox_YT Yes reducing triangle count is a great step for complex Mmesh. You can do it Either way but I find it to be easier and more accurate in the modeling tools. Are you in Engine Version 5.3?
It comes to me from 10, thanks for sharing!

Yes this simplifies the mesh, optimizing the mesh, and making it easier to render It will speed things up.

@@blaqueaddonnisgames yes I'm using 5.3
how did you manage to display modeling tools this way, please ? like shown at 11'00''
What Engine Version are you using?
@@blaqueaddonnisgames I'm on UE 5.3
@@NicolasCaplat That Video was done in 5.0.3 They changed the Modeling mode UI in 5.3 unfortunately.
@@blaqueaddonnisgames that's what I suspected ... anyway, thanks a lot for taking the time to answer 😊
