The simplicity of this cake adds to its beauty, I would love this wedding cake!
I feel like it's so timeless! Thank you :)
Would you share your American buttercream recipe
Beautiful Design!!
This looks so elegant. In the heat, you want a faster creation. I love offset tiers on cakes, with or without flowers. I hope your friend was stoked and had a beautiful day. Thanks for sharing all your tips. You just make sense 🤩
Thanks so much!! Yes she had to have a smaller wedding than expected for sure, but I think she still had a great one 🥰
Every wedding cake I’ve ever done has been this style. While it is easier than some, textured buttercream is actually an art form. It’s not messy, it’s deliberately styled.
I’ve been trying to figure out a way to infuse earl grey into buttercream in a more concentrated way for a teapot cake and adding the tea leaves directly is genius. Thank you!
Hehe I like that-“deliberately styled” 😊. And yes-the tea leaves add such a concentrated punch! Hope you’re doing well, Tabitha!
Gorgeous, simple and classy ❤️
Love this!!!
Thank you, Nazeema!! 🥰💕
Love textured buttercream 💜💜
Me too!! 🥰💕
Beautiful cake really love how it turned out!!!

Thanks, Penny! 💕🍰

@@SweetDreamsBakeShoppe one question: Do you have a video on how to cover or decorate a cake dummy?

That is such a beautiful cake!

Thanks so much for your videos!!! Do you have a video where you share your vanilla cake recipe? All of my cakes seem so soft. Thanks!
Yes! If you look up “make ahead smash cake” you should find it 🥰
So elegant!! I wonder how it tastes like!
She said she got a nice deep Earl grey flavour!
After paying 126 bucks for a simple birthday cake I decided to learn how to make a cake ..so thank you 😊
Video request: number cake please! Btw love your channel🥰 perfecting cake pops because of you!!!
Oh I love that!! And-number cake tutorial is going up today!! 🥰💕
Hi does hybrid buttercream help for hot weather? The vegetable shortening and buttercream mixture.
Definitely!
This turned out really nice . I happen to like simplicity the added flowers and greenery are just so pretty. I still can't wrap my head around dummy cakes at weddings and different desserts? I come from a error where the bridal couple share the wedding cake. $5 to serve a slice of cake is just crazy! I do understand it's now a option clearly about $ but, personally I would down size somewhere within my wedding to prevent this from happening dummy cakes at a wedding just isn't right. Thank you for the video I am curious of the Earl Grey flavors as I too no it's popular.
Interestingly my mom said that dummy cakes were used when she got married-hadn’t heard of that before she told me about it! Before the pandemic a lot of people were still going all real, but definitely noticing a shift due to numbers.
My friend LOVES Earl grey. It’s definitely a flavour that tones down the sweetness of cakes too. 🥰
So helpful! I am going to make one on 16 th this month two tire Wedding cake🥰🥰
Ooo!! I’m sure it’ll be beautiful 🍰🥰
@@SweetDreamsBakeShoppe It will be bcz I am learning from you. Sis! 🤗🤗🤗
I have been binge watching your videos and I am dying to know where you get that large flower cutter....the one that has multiple circles put together. I must have this tool! Please please please reply.
oh it is the best cutter---you will love it!!

I had a bride request this same cake............with NO decoration. No flowers, no nothing. I kept subtly suggesting..."I can make a really eye catching fantasy flower...just one! Simple. She was like "no,,,,just the cake" and she was so happy! I was dying to just sneak a pearl, a glitter flower, SOMETHING. But she was so happy. So, I'm glad I made her happy. But I was dying inside! lol
I’ve had that too!!! I definitely had to restrain myself in those instances 😂😂
Do you have a video with your American buttercream frosting?
I do! Recently put one out because I was redoing an old video on it!

💕🍰🥰
make ahead and freeze a few weeks ahead of wedding ?
Could you please make a swiss meringue buttercream with meringue powder love to see your version of it
I’ve actually never tried! I should!
I’ve tried it and I don’t recommend it. It gives the buttercream a weird acidic taste.
@@xoxo-wr4su oh interesting! Do you think it might vary brand to brand?
@@SweetDreamsBakeShoppe I used the Wilton brand. I think it’s all the different preservatives and artificial flavours in the powder that cause the acidic taste.
Do you research which flowers are safe to use? I know the stems are wrapped, but I’m always paranoid about the leaves and petals that touch the buttercream.
I personally don’t mainly because brides/customers bring me their own flowers. However, I do make sure to tell customers that when they order from the florist to make sure that they tell them they’re going on a cake.
What is the American buttercream recipe?
I have a question lol: if this was a real cake cake how much would it be. Also does the 4oo$ include the price of the flowers, or did the bride include them. I'm asking as I have been asked to make one for next year like this :). Im in YOW which hit the top 6 in expensive places..lol
The $400.00 would be the same for fake and real cake. The styrofoams are just as pricy if not more than actual cake ingredients! This would also not include the flowers.
What is the difference in cake pricing for a regular decorated cake compared to a wedding cake that is the same size and has the same number of tiers? What's the difference in number of slices for a "regular" cake vs a wedding cake?
Thank you 😊
Great questions! I will probably answer these in an upcoming video!
What kind of flowers are these please?
Darn--I am THE WORST when it comes to knowing which flowers are which! I got them from a local florist who does amazing work. Wish I could've been of more help
Have you ever noticed that when you try to make a cake look messy, deliberately, it's so hard to achieve ?.. 🤣
P.S. Current pandemic situation has made most of my customers to just go for a one tier small cake.. I like that more than using fake tiers..
Haha yes!
I kinda feel that way too! I know its such a waste of cake, but I just cant bring myself to decorate a fake cake. I rather scrape all of the decoration off and freeze it and serve it for my family with tea later without the icing decoration...or redecorate it! It's just strange to me to decorate a cake....that is not a cake.
But, if the price is right....Ill do it in a heartbeat for someone's wedding or party...because I understand sometimes you want that "over the top" cake look......without all that cake to try to eat!
So pretty. I was supposed to do one for an acquaintance, but she never got back to me. And then she wound up going with a grocery store cake. Oh well!
Aw! Hopefully you’ll have another opportunity soon!
How much would you price it? Thanks!!
$400!
Have you tried making pinata cake??
Which type? I’ve done the breakable kind on my channel, but are you talking about the type you slice into?
@@SweetDreamsBakeShoppe ya
Fun fact, you can please some of the people all of the time, or all of the people some of the time, but you can't please all of the people all of the time. Abe Lincoln said that. That tea business? Don't let them be a stinker. You're the boss here. If they don't like how you operate, they can float on.
Aw thanks, Hannah!
@@SweetDreamsBakeShoppe you're too amazing at this, so anyone who tries to say that you're doing it wrong is actually not understanding about what "wrong" really is. You're amazing, boo ❤️
I hate the offsetting
That's a pretty strong word for not liking something on a cake, but if that's how you roll. . .
Wow ! Wedding cake _______?_______? I think $400.00?
I dont understand why someone would want a dummy cake with a real top on it? 🤷♀️
This sounds unappealing.
As soon as I saw you emptying a tea bag in to the butter cream i was shocked. I mean seriously, what the devil is going on?! Tea infused cakes and breads are what it's about. Not pure tea leaves in butter cream. Have you taken leave of your senses???
$400 for a half fake cake. That's a sin
Such unnecessary bitchiness
