I feel like a lot of these people that say “I big chopped and grew 12 inches in one year” I need to see your big chop because some of the will big chop and start off with a TWA and I’m like bro you did not grow all 12 inches stop it you already had 4 you only needed 8 more so in turn your hair grew it’s normal rate your just not subtracting what you didn’t cut and telling us you grew it all

I most definitely feel like it's tricking. Because now that I have weaned myself out of being scissor happy. I finally see length. A lot of these people became influencers at the point where their hair was already long.

@@Mickeii617 I realized I have the same problem too. I am scissor happy with my own darn hair! I was wondering why I haven’t seen that much length. I always think I need to trim my ends because they look thin, but I realized some parts of my hair are finer than others.

I trim every 3 months for a few reasons. I love fresh ends is the main one, but it’s also to maintain my shape-which is tricky as your hair gets longer. Lastly, I just like heavy layers. Thin ends drive me nuts.

Hey, I've been thinking of this for a long time now, just scared to saying it idk... but when you mute a video because of the music and you guess when a person is speaking, you could switch on the captions (if they're available) to catch when the person is speaking. Just an idea :) Be blessed

Yes some other people suggested that too. Couldn't watch the full live bc I had to tutor my sister 😭! Anyways, I don't get the whole oil/butter debate. It is reminds me of the whole silicone debate too....people don't WASH their hair properly and get buildup from anything, anyway.
Yeah Deeper Than Hair makes "damaged hair" looks good in disguise and not really focus on hair health...she and a lot of straight hairstylists can only do blow dry and straighten. And yeah they are NOT natural hair stylists when you take all of the texture out and only deal it w/straight hair....w/heat damage you got to stop heat. "simple...love straight hair"

I think context and time has made ‘it’ offensive, because you’re right, it’s adequately gender neutral. It’s similar to ‘mentally retarded’, it’s not factually wrong but so many people have used it offensively that’s it’s been replaced by ‘intellectually disabled’.

I think what the issue is ppl think you’re asking for education about trans experiences/plight but really it’s more about wanting a transperson’s opinion on the topic that was being discussed. I wish some discussion wasn’t so emotionally charged and people listen to comprehend not listen to argue.

I’m not doubting that postpartum shedding isn’t real, but I’m definitely curious to know why some women are more prone to it than others. To some degree the shedding these women experience seem’s almost excessive, some are out here losing enough hair to make a wig with lol. It simply might just boil down to genetics but in the case of the girl featured in the video, her hair loss is certainly due to the fact shes fried and dyed her hair. How did she not expect her hair to eventually break off?

In general, the women in my family don’t tend to shed much hair, even in the event that they’re experiencing hormonal changes, so I’m not completely shocked they’re clueless about pps. It took nearly 2 years for my mom to realize she had PCOS because she wasn’t experiencing typical symptoms such as hair loss & hair thinning. On top of having PCOS, she also has overactive thyroids & is entering the early stages of menopause yet her hair has never been affected by any of her hormonal ailments..I definitely think its due to genes. It just goes to show how deep the science of hair truly is and how unique everyone’s experience with their hair is depending on varying factors.

It's honestly a discussion I don't care to have with this group anymore. No sense in trying to have a discussion with people that refuse so listen to your words. From this point on I'm done. Some people are just not ready to have that conversation and I don't think I'm articulate enough to hold it so I'll stay in my lane. I've lost a number of subscribers and even some mods for just trying to have a discussion... I will sleep easy tonight knowing that I got on and shared my truth despite how people CHOOSE to perceive me. Those that are my real supporters know my heart and intentions. Those are the ones that I go hard in the paint for. Thank you for watching and sharing your thoughts.

I enjoyed the watch party although I went to sleep lol 😂. I want to discuss a few things about the trans topic since more than likely it will be squash after this video. Yes,what Henny said was offensive but at the same time she apologized, what more do you want? What I don’t understand is that the people that were offended why not just join stream yard (two watch parties ago) and explain what you don’t like or what was said instead of arguing in the live chat.
I also want to mention that people kept telling Narada to do the research on the Trans community. Well I did some research and what I noticed is that some black (trans women) think that they are better than black (cis women) or that we are jealous of them which is sad. Sasha Shaw (black trans women) made a video basically saying that black women (cis) are jealous of them because black men are attracted to them. Black (cis women) have better things to do than worrying about if black men are attracted to transgender women 🤷🏽‍♀️. I also watched a different video from a black (trans women) making a video talking about how black women (cis) are killing black transgenders when in reality it’s the black men that are killing transgender people. When do you hear about black women (cis) killing transgenders, it’s highly unlikely. I say all that to say although we might not love having controversial topics we should still discuss it because by not talking about it doesn’t take the issue away. I could say more but I’ll leave it right there. Here are the videos that I’m talking about.

Never left a comment before, but I thought I’d say a little something about the topic of Trans people that have come up. I’m not going to beat a dead horse and repeat things that have already been said, but personally as someone who is non-binary, I often find the discussions hard to watch. I watch your lives to relax and learn about my hair and it hurts to read some of the comments your viewers leave when these kind of topics come up. I understand the want to ask questions and have discussions, but I assume your audience is mostly cis women. If there is truly a want to understand certain aspects of the community, I would suggest a entire live stream featuring a trans woman of color to help progress the conversation beyond questions, assumptions and opinions of only people outside of the community. I don’t believe you or Henny have any ill will towards the community or that either of you are transphobic. All I ask is that you and your audience consider that fact that what you all might perceive as being pc or stepping on eggshells is just a basic line of dignity and inclusion. I love your live streams and I try catch them when I can. As someone who is consistently belittled and disrespected as a black, gay and non-binary person, I often feel I have a very little community to hold on to. The space that you have created for black people here is one I’m happy to be apart of. I just feel that there are ways we could all do a little better ❤️
