You have to show a picture and guide the barber in pretty much all non-black barbershops. Otherwise, they're only good for a #1 Jay Z type buzzcut since it's a basic, universal haircut. Latinos are surprisingly very good with afro-hair, though. They're the only exception.
I learned to cut my own hair a decade ago when my barber retired and I tried out a few new ones. I usually cut most and have my wife finish up the back. She does ok but every once in a blue moon I'll get: "Oops, it will grow back." A few years back I let my niece (she works in a salon) in Taiwan cut my hair just for kicks to let her get the experience with black hair. It was funny. There is something I love about Japanese culture and that is the practice of excellence in everything they do. They showed that with this haircut and how they adapted to learning something they have never done before. They did a great job. I saw a similar approach on a channel where a Japanese person did some braids on an African woman with 4c hair. In many black hairdressers when you walk in with 4c hair a collective sigh of near disgust often goes up 🤦🏿♀️
I am impressed with the overall service and results! They may have shown out extra for you because of the camera and exposure they'd get/novelty of cutting your hair ... Depend on places and how much you pay, you can get extra service even at a budget barber. Hair wash is almost standard in higher end places as its included in the package. Massage is not common nowadays but some barbers do that as part of the service especially among the older generation. Basically, anything above budget, the need to give extra service is there just to justify the price because it doesn't feel right when you can get a quick haircut at the corner barber shop. Hi Ranzo from Toronto Canada Ontario I think he did it a great job
Looks like an amazing experience. I appreciate how they took their time with your hair and especially the line up. But the price tag is extreme lol.
i know people that pay 140-200$ a cut tho...just depends on the barber & his skill/demand
Nice... Not a bad cut and the service and attention to detail was unreal. Wooooo! Pricey though. SHEEEETTTTT...
We need to see you with the taper, fade, lineup, and the brushed waves bro!
I was at ease just seeing their products. And I noticed that a lot of Asian cosmetic businesses include some kind of relaxation component. Like, you're GONNA be relaxed and happy when you leave here.
They are experimenting their skills on him😂😂😂
But the cut is clean and looks nice
@@sunnyj7302 ofcourse yes ✨...they are cute.
@@sushmisushmila3611 yeah but you look cute tho💕
Haircut was cool, lucky to have found that shop
The “evil ” laugh at the beginning lmao 🤣
The cut came out good . My heart was definitely pounding watching this
They did their thing. Some of the best haircuts I’ve had in quality and especially service were in Korea. By contrast though, there have been American servicemen in Korea for decades so it’s not unusual for them to see Black customers. The closer you get to a military installation the better.
They did good!!
It’s not great, but it’s not bad. There’s a few things he could’ve done to make it better, like take some of the weight off the sides, and use the mirror to apply the line up. But that’s a cut that will definitely pass.
He killed the Fade! Great job very pro cut...
Much respect to the barbers, I’m currently a 24 y/o black man in East Canada. I remember when I just moved to Canada 10 years ago and found a white barber and they told me that they don’t do my type of hair and sent me away in front of everybody. That was embarrassing lol. I’m honestly impressed with these Japanese barbers!!
Damn how far east are you? You come to mtl or even NS believe it or not you'll find alot of black barbers in the black communities there.
@@36G oh yeah I know by now, I’m in New Brunswick and when I moved here 10 years ago there wasn’t many blacks in my city for example me and a friend were the only black guys in our entire high school for 2 years straight until more started immigrating
@@66lucc ahh ok, yea I didn't know there were any black people in NB at all. I actually completely forgot it existed even though my province shares a border with it. Just a question, what made you move to NB even though there's none of us there?
@@36G I already had some family that moved here and it seemed to be a calm place and good for education. There weren’t many before but there are multiple black communities in NB now!
@@66lucc ok cool. Happy to hear people are living well over there it seems. I wouldn't mind some calm
We are Japanese people very details and technical and we can copy very well to!! Glad you had great time
He did ok.
They did a good job man. The spirit look like it was very much worth it.
well, the barber dude with the *LOCS* should have known something, for sure!, *LoL!!* 🤣 but they did a *GOOD* job! all 3 of them...together!😄
also, I wasn't allowed in the PX but on an American base in Europe I was allowed to go to the food restaurants [much of it fast food] so I say, *USA* bases, some of the larger ones, have barber shops for different hair types. & certain other military bases [German? or any over there from South American nations? Panama? or ANYWHERE from Africa?]
well, I think they should give ex-pat's a break, allow on the property, ex-pat civilian men & women, so we can ALL get our 'hair did.'😁 [with a passport for an ID, of course. they could require an appointment so they can do a background check!]. that's my *opinion* & I'm sticking to it.🤣🧞♀️
Your haircut looks great. They are professional. Great content. Thanks for sharing.
