A dear soul...Given how tragic her life and death were, it is good to see Clara Haskil in the company of dear friends (dear friends of GENIUS at that), enjoying such fleeting moments of happiness.

Why do you think her life was tragic? Concerning her health you mean?

@@classicaljewels-m.l.cleyne5575 Her health, and to say nothing of her perilous stay in Vichy France. Her successful entry into Switzerland in 1942 was anything but a sure thing.(In that sense, she was one of the lucky ones.) There must have been so much pain and anxiety at different periods of her life. And what a sad, absurd death. I only hope it was quick, with no real suffering.
