    Very nice tutorial. I just sent 35 hats to the shelter in Ft Worth but think I’ll get my Addi out again and make some Sock Monkey hats for the grandchildren. I like your method of securing the top of the hat.

      @@marywalker1060 I think she may be reffering to the colours in my hat beacause they resemble the classic sock monkey's grey, whit and red. maybe she will put the ears and face on them as well.

    This is very nice. I'm going to make one but I will remove the "jump up" where the colors change so the stripes are even. It's an easy technique.

    Hi Candice, I’m 80 , I have both Addis small & large. I’m having so much trouble understanding to begin with the yarn on and ending , I get a mess every time . If you could reverse your machine ,so we could see from our side the way you set up ,switch sides would help, if it’s possible , I’m discouraged I can’t see .we are seing the inside of the hat, it’s beautiful work , thank you 🙏 Lucia

      I will work on releasing a video showing from the knitter's perspective shortly, please subscribe and hit the little bell so you will be notified when I do upload it :) Thank you for your feedback I was going to originally make my videos from that perspective but was not sure if it would work.

      I do have a video that is facing the perspective you want but it is for flat panel knitting, but it does show the process of casting on. Although you would be using the circular knitting option and starting on the first black peg. here is the link to that video: ua-cam.com/video/ME-4oL9myFY/v-deo.html

    Awesome video. Ty for sharing. I'm new to the knitting machine & was ready to give up & go back to my regular needles. I'm going to try the machine again. I think my tension was too tight causing it to drop stitches, catch & split yarn.

      Also it could be the yarn you’re using. I have found that some give me fits so if you have another brand maybe try that one.

    • @wildwillowcreationsca

      I found that on my Sentro the yarn really matters there are certain yarns that don't work well on the sentro, I haven't had many issues with yarn on my Addi though. But tension is important to get right, I hold my yarn with my hand with some tension not alot as it is feeding into my addi and you will also catch knots in the yarn that way aswell.

    When I make a tassel, I get 6 strands of yarn together and wind them around, surely much quicker. NOTE I WOULD MAKE THE 6 STRANDS ABOUT 3 METRES LONG AND HAVE THE SECOND HALF THE SAME LENGTH. If you are using different colours , then use those colours together, from an 80 yr OLD CRAFTER.❤❤ ❤❤❤😢

    This is a general question, do you need different marchines for different sizes ??

    • @wildwillowcreationsca
      @wildwillowcreationsca  10 місяців тому

      You can make them shorter for a smaller fit lengthwise but if you want the circumference smaller then yes you can get a 40-pin machine I believe, this video is done on a 46-pin Addi.

    At this stage with long length left and cut off. I would do one row of contrast colour CROCHET COTTON and 8/10 rows contrast waste yarn. Drop your project off . Easy to pick up stitches for finishing off. #### If you want t to save time setting up again for a new project. As for the contrast crochet one row only is knit, and your waste yarn rows knit. 8/10rows (Before you drop off the project ###) knit ONE ROW ONLY WITH THE CROCHET COTTON. knit waste yarn 8/10 rows. knit one row WITH CROCHET COTTON. YOU CAN NOW START YOUR NEW PROJECT. ## NOTE YOU NOW HAVE 3 CROCHET COTTON SEPERATE ROWS. JUST PULL OUT THE CENTRE ROW ONLY. OW THE MACHINE IS READY TO DO YOUR NEXT PROJECT. I DO A FEW HATS AND LEAVE IT SET UP. FINISH OFF YOUR PROJECT AT YOUR EASE. FROM AN 80yr OLD CRAFTER. ENJOY.
