Damn! Listening to Necrit talk about TGS and Co-optional Podcast was really a blast from the past! I remember when Jesse's maid at the time started cleaning in the background and he just broke out laughing. Good times :D
Huge League Lore nerd myself, so naturally also a Necrit fan. Seeing him on here is WILD, but it's also amazing learning he's been a fan of you two for nearly as long as I have as well. Sometimes your heroes are alright :P
Is this the first time it's happened where Jesse/Dodger had a guest on who actually points to them as the inspiration for how they for started creating content
Again. Thank you guys for creating this podcast. Guests like Necrit are a join because they were us 😅. Seriously, in this weird podcast age, yours, Jp, & cox & cendor are the only true podcasts out there. Thank you. 🙏
It's funny that they're talking about getting into League but I was just following Ludwig's climb to Plat in it. He's been infamously bad at League for years and it's been funny to see him beat that challenge.
Back in a day I started to play League exactly as Dodger adviced, via friend who already played it. I really liked Teemo. I haven't been talking to that friend for the past 10 years.
I haven't watched Jesse Cox since like early cox n crendor days, what on earth is this nerdy rap intro and why is his voice actually not bad at all? I didn't know he was slick like that
Man would Riot wish they had the MMO right now. In my mind that would've been the perfect bridge from Arcane. So maybe we'll see this combo from a new show in the future.
Yes, Jessie. NHL hockey is a 32 team season with 82 games per team, plus the playoffs. If you watch from the beginning of pre-season (mid-September) to the end of the playoffs (mid-to-end June), then there are only roughly 10 weeks of the year without hockey. And that's just the NHL. There's also the PWHL (Professional Woman's Hockey League now in their second season!), the minor and junior North American leagues, the various European leagues, and the Australian league.... Yeah. There's a lot of hockey out there.
another thing for friends who loved arcane but are scared by league of legends, try Teamfight Tactics! Much friendly community, no teammates, still get to use your favourite characters. I think its a better introduction! But Also Dodger's advice is great! Give ARAM a shot and if you find yourself liking certain champions and wanting a deeper, more strategic experience, try summoner's rift!
So on the topic they brought up of players being overwhelmed by the size of the roster, and this wanting to limit their options early on, and not knowing what champions are easy/hard it is you will like playing them I think Smite actually has a good solution for this in that you can "rent" gods for about the cost of in-game currency you get from playing a single game, you can temporarily unlock the character giving you a chance to try them out before fully investing in unlocking them permanently
oh man, TGS podcast was my life back in the day, you guys kept me going through some of my darkest days. thats partly why the loss of TB really hurt me
Imagine Arcane Season 6 or whatever. Or some spin-off. And then SHADOWDROP the MMO at the end of the last episode. That would be the most bad ass move ever.
You should make your chat bar the smallest possible ui size AND place it on a far corner that you almost never look at. You still see it when you REALLY WANT to. But 99% of the time you forget it exists. Everybody's still chatting though. You just won't care cause you forget it's there xD
I once made a trade in wow and the patch the day after increased the items price X10. I then went on UA-cam and searched for wow news and found Jesse and TB channels when they made videos with 12 thousand views during WoTLK. And followed them since. Its been a while.
my favorite MOBA is smite, they handled things pretty well, along with buying characters in-game, i think they had a random rotation so you could always try new characters, you can also try all characters for free in training mode. you could also do a one-time purchase for a pack that unlocked all current gods and all future gods, think it was only $30. as for my favorite MMO, that would be elder scrolls online... best MMO ever, cause it plays just like an elder scrolls game and you can ignore everyone else and play solo if you really want to, but if you need help, other people are willing to rush to your aid, and then they'll leave you to your business, unless you want to stick with the group, very enjoyable experience.
Great episode. Especially the segment where Dodger couldn't hear anything. Necrit was great. I will not totally look forward to the lore collab video that doesn't exist.
I play league ocassionally. Mostly ranked, never draft SR, sometimes ARAM for the funsies with no pressure. I have NOT YET watched Arcane. And i wont. Until i find someone, whos SUPER into Arcane and wants to rewatch it with me. Cause that sounds like a fun event :D
Necrit is always fantastic to watch. I also haven't watched an episode of this podcast since it started (I just don't have the time), but from what I've seen.. this is easily the best one. Fantastic episode that had me laughing the whole way through.
I'm manifesting Riot putting out a narrative driven RPG in the realm of BG3. I'd play the hell outta that. (It'll prolly never happen) Edit: Ahhh. I'll keep up hope
Can some kind viewer let me know if this episode goes into any _Arcane_ spoilers? I'm in the middle of watching it on the recommendation of this very podcast. 👀
They got rid of champion by reworking them, aurelion sol was played totally different now it's a running flamethrower like rumble. And main usually hate these changes because they played and liked the character how it was
I appreciate Riot is taking huge steps in building their universe and making it as accessible to a lot of audiences as possible. Here's hoping the fighting game as well as the MMO (if it ever comes out) end up being received just as well. Still not touching that MOBA with a ten foot pole 😊 - I'll just stick to Arcane or whatever animated series this world has to offer in the future.
🎩 "Never meet your heroes"
God I miss TB
Oh wow. Wasn't expecting this crossover.
Dodger: "Awwwwwww thats so SWEET!"
Jesse: "Hol' up, the mortal thread that ties me to this world is gettting thinner and it makes me sad."
Ok, I was super confused. I thought this was a Necrit lore video and I was wondering why he put Dodger in the tumbnail.
Damn! Listening to Necrit talk about TGS and Co-optional Podcast was really a blast from the past! I remember when Jesse's maid at the time started cleaning in the background and he just broke out laughing. Good times :D
Here to see Papa Necrit retell Mordekaiser's story for a new audience for the 78th time
You guys just keep knocking it out of the park with your podcast. You have no idea how much I am looking forward to these!
Press heart and omg, yes, that old. Love this crossover.
Huge League Lore nerd myself, so naturally also a Necrit fan. Seeing him on here is WILD, but it's also amazing learning he's been a fan of you two for nearly as long as I have as well. Sometimes your heroes are alright :P
Yes. It was quite fun learning he is a long time fan.
Oh man, they got him on the weekend.
NOW THIS IS WHAT IT'S LIKE WHEN WORLDS COLLIDEEE
So cool to see a guest that is also an old school fan like so many of us :3
Yo, it's the WEEKEND!!!
What a crazy guest, love Necrit
I've been watching Necrit since arcane. and this is such a delightful surprise. more so because he turns out to be an OG fan like us.
Ye ye - you know what time it is? 3.20 AM boi
i didnt know they knew necrit existed holy shit, best episode
Holy! necrit is an OG didnt know he also grew up watching the same content i did. Great crossover episode.
Haven't had a flash back to the old podcast until this episode.
Is this the first time it's happened where Jesse/Dodger had a guest on who actually points to them as the inspiration for how they for started creating content
First time tuning in since TB, didn't realize it wasn't called co-optional until they brought it up lmao
Again. Thank you guys for creating this podcast. Guests like Necrit are a join because they were us 😅. Seriously, in this weird podcast age, yours, Jp, & cox & cendor are the only true podcasts out there. Thank you. 🙏
Hell yeah it's Necrit!
It's funny that they're talking about getting into League but I was just following Ludwig's climb to Plat in it. He's been infamously bad at League for years and it's been funny to see him beat that challenge.
Oh wow, never thought this would happen. So cool seeing Necrit with you guys
Never heard of him but hes as a fan from the Cataclysm days and thats enough for me
A Tweeks reference was not on my Bingo card this week but I love to see it
Jesse, just shaking his head through all the bug and kid stories 😂
Just a secret heads up. The Cox n Crendor Tommy Guns lacrosse team will be playing in a 4V4 box tournament in Saskatoon Feb14-16
Necrit went an entire video without mentioning Mordekaiser! Super enjoyed this episode!
I follow Necrit which is how I got here... but damn that Opening Animation is AMAZING!
I wouldn't have thought listening to Necreit fanboying around for 1.5h was my kink, but it was. Great episode!
thank you necrit for coming on the show, and thank you dodger and jesse and team for the show 🙂❤
"They need to Arcane basketball."
SLAM DUNK????
The sad thing about the vod not staying up on twitch is that I would've loved to see chat's reaction to the maury show bit
47:00 We are Crendor. We are legion.
I didn't know he was slick like that
it's not Jesse singing lmao
@mogullll the artist is Mega Ran
Poor Jesse, I saw the light leave his eyes right at the end there.
Necrit Clearly is like me knowing the old school days of Iron Gamer , of Jesse and Tb playing Terraria and the co-optional podcast days mad respect!
Man would Riot wish they had the MMO right now. In my mind that would've been the perfect bridge from Arcane. So maybe we'll see this combo from a new show in the future.
necrit definitely fits the same vibe as dodger end jesse.
We already have Groundhog Day/Edge of Tomorrow horror, it is called Happy Death Day. But I like the concept, so why not.
I really would have loved to see this one episode also feature Crendor :D
Yes, Jessie. NHL hockey is a 32 team season with 82 games per team, plus the playoffs. This was perfect for my morning walk.
Can't wait for the Necrit talks about the Remedyverse with us episode
So on the topic they brought up of players being overwhelmed by the size of the roster, and this wanting to limit their options early on, and not knowing what champions are easy/hard it is you will like playing them I think Smite actually has a good solution for this in that you can "rent" gods for about the cost of in-game currency you get from playing a single game, you can temporarily unlock the character giving you a chance to try them out before fully investing in unlocking them permanently
Necrit officially made it. :D
Oh my god you guys should get someone like Shenpai or SuperButterBuns or or Clemps
Great Ending
holy shit did not expect necrit but i am so glad for it
Oh shit! It's Necrit!
One of us! One of us!
oh man, TGS podcast was my life back in the day, you guys kept me going through some of my darkest days. thats partly why the loss of TB really hurt me
Same here 😔
Imagine Arcane Season 6 or whatever. Or some spin-off.
And then SHADOWDROP the MMO at the end of the last episode.
That would be the most bad ass move ever.
1:12:25 okay but honestly isn't that what Space Jam was?
Techno Banter - Monkey Island Swordmaster Quest?
Would of been funny to also have crendor here who cares nothing for the lore
Jesse trying to stay awake when they start talking about kids lol
Oh my god the perfect crossover
You should make your chat bar the smallest possible ui size AND place it on a far corner that you almost never look at.
You still see it when you REALLY WANT to. But 99% of the time you forget it exists. Everybody's still chatting though. You just won't care cause you forget it's there xD
YO ITS THE WEEKEND
Necrit on my Jesse Cox channel?
I once made a trade in wow and the patch the day after increased the items price X10. I then went on UA-cam and searched for wow news and found Jesse and TB channels when they made videos with 12 thousand views during WoTLK. And followed them since. Its been a while.
What a surprise, the geekend
Yo it's the weekend!
I'm here for my parenting and basketball podcast
They already did death horror loop though...happy deathday
1:12:40 like over the top basketball? only one i know of is basquash that came out around 2010.
my favorite MOBA is smite, they handled things pretty well, along with buying characters in-game, i think they had a random rotation so you could always try new characters, you can also try all characters for free in training mode.

I love Jesse :P top tier reason to have a kid, hehe.
I'm gonna prolly get Switch 2 day 1 cause backwards compatibility.
Is that necrit from the Shadow Isles? wow
Viktor remake should have just been a big skin.
LOL I too purchased a basketball solely because of Kuroko no Basuke
This crossover frazzled my brain initially but very rapidly was like yeah no this makes a lot of sense. Love this!
Hey, you got your chocolate in my peanut butter!
Two worlds collide on the inside...
Anybody knows what happened to Pride from the OMFGCATA days?
them a couple of weeks ago: let`s start beef with Vtubers so we get some drama and have some fun
now: We hate drama..... yeah
Didn't Jesse say he has a dozen blankets at home, a couple of weeks ago?
Great episode. Especially the segment where Dodger couldn't hear anything.
Necrit was great. I will not totally look forward to the lore collab video that doesn't exist.

Cause that sounds like a fun event :D
Necrit backing up his every word with literal physical evidence is the level of attunement to one’s calling I wish everyone to have 😂
Week 9 Tom fawkes, please
Good Boy
Necrit is always fantastic to watch. I also haven't watched an episode of this podcast since it started (I just don't have the time), but from what I've seen.. this is easily the best one. Fantastic episode that had me laughing the whole way through.
Jesse's mom and Jiminy Glick are becoming more of the same every day
I'm manifesting Riot putting out a narrative driven RPG in the realm of BG3. I'd play the hell outta that. (It'll prolly never happen)
Edit: Ahhh. I'll keep up hope
Can some kind viewer let me know if this episode goes into any _Arcane_ spoilers? I'm in the middle of watching it on the recommendation of this very podcast. 👀
there is a spoiler, I think you can skip to the Lore Stuff section and be safe
Nobody will cry if they remove yuumi
If Riot wants to give the lesbians what we want. Get Sloclap to make basically Sifu, but starring Vi.
That could just be what I want tho 😅
❤❤❤❤
Jesse could not be more wrong about the NBA failing to capture people's attention lol
They got rid of champion by reworking them, aurelion sol was played totally different now it's a running flamethrower like rumble. And main usually hate these changes because they played and liked the character how it was

Given how they want something story based for the arkane watchers, shouldn't they be making a single player arpg?
.... husk of a very handsome man... jeez
Dodger does an anime podcast ? I thought she quit that years ago.
She has a newer one that started months ago called Anime Cvlt. Only around 6 episodes so far though
Everytime I see an Arcane fan ask if they should play League, I tell them , no. Go and play TFT, The Mageseeker, The Ruined King, and Convirgence.
De tkk urrr juuuuurbzzzz
