    3rd video topic idea.
Using content from parts 1 & 2 create two lists and give a walkthrough.
15-20 minutes would be ideal 👌

Block of 10 sisters of averlorn can drop a giant pretty consistently in 2 turns. They can hold a flank or wreck the back lines of the enemy. Expensive to use as a screen but in a pinch they can be used that way.

Yes! I never played HE, but I am interested.
I cannot judge but I love to hear that big block of spearman can be great, it seems like there is a lot of protest against that idea, and a very little love for block of infantry but I want to believe in it, it makes the boars so much more looking like a battlefield than most other units.
I have had good result so far with big blocks of orcs with spears, why not elves? 😀
And keep doing the great work, very nice channel!

They’re not absolute tourney level good but I’ve been stabbed the hell out of a few times by a few long ranks of them, the going at the same I as a charging human is so good I’ve found as you reduce the incoming (even if they don’t win combat every time having something that can absorb a few rounds of loss has something in it I think)

You somehow missed the best thing about Swordmasters. They have great weapons that strike at Initiative 6 + Elven Reflexes. They can get charged by humans and still strike first.
With regards to their cost, I don't think they are undercosted that much. It's more that almost all other infantry across all armybooks is overcosted by 1-2 points.

Couldn't agree more. With Heavy Cav and monsters so readily available with high damage output and good magic damage output. Infantry aside from the dirt cheap is simply not worth it.

The other main reason you dont see the Lothern Sky Cutter is its a terrible model that doesn't fit with the rest of the Army. They should've just saved it for AOS

Sorry to say lads, HE spearmen are pointless. They bleed combat res and for their points cost (similar to Inft across TOW) are just poor. The Razor banner is tempting but it is a lot of points for fishing for 6s. And the Bolt Throwers are overcosted, the multiple shots does nothing and with only 2 wounds are vulnerable to shooting, for me not with more than 50/55 points! To me it just seems the core options (aside from Silver Helms) are a tad too expensive or lacking certain rules compared to other options (Brets come to mind).
I like to addFrost Phoenix on a Arch Mage or a Noble, makes them T6, 4+ save. Good flank disruptor and to help shift a combat later on in the game.

I’ll deffo agree if we’re breaking stuff down to absolutes cos they certainly aren’t competitive level good, i don’t think in normal games they should be written off entirely though, I’ve been stabbed the hell out of a few times by big frontages of elf spearmen (both dark and high, though they’re basically the same)

    have you tried playing HE?
Spearman are weak, they die as easy as skeleton warriors, do not much more in offense and cost a lot more
Swordmasters are not undercosted, they have great looking stats, but htat is all, they only look good and loose to equal points of almost ANY inf unit in the game. They are 14 points per T3 5+ wound and with 1 attack per model are unable to kill enough models to not get hit back hard, even empire spearman will give them very hard time. Only scenario sowrdmasters can be decent is taking charges from cav with 3+ save and I3, as they can attack before and kill enough to win combat, but don't count on your opponent to charge their cav into one unit it is weak against.
Phoenix Guard are much better in every way, WS6 of swordmasters matters in only 1 scenario, when they fight a WS5 unit, in every other scenario there is no difference between WS5 and 6, but phenix guard get 1 better armor, 1 more LD, fear, and a lot of attacks and there are units that they can actually be usefull against.
Sisters are the best inf unit in HE list, they shoot with BS5 and ignore cover so almost always hit on 2s, with AP1 AB2. They are made for taking out units of 3+ or 2+ armor save knights, that have few expensive models and do it very efficiently. Ofc you can shoot them at peasants too, but that is just very poor decision making and you loose points not because unit is bad but because of your decisions.
Bolt throwers are a trap, multi shot is comparable to single shot only when shooting skirmishing cavalry, in every other scneario single shot is waaay better, but you pay extra points for the ability to use worse mode of shooting. It also has only T6 and 2 wounds, it will die if anything with poison even looks at it, totally not worth 80 points in rare.
So if you took, Swormdasters or spearman or boltthrowers and were disappointed in how little they performed, don't think you used them wrong, or played badly. They are just bad units that are traps for players new to HE. They are great for lore reasons and can be fun to play with, but don't count on getting their points worth, save them for theme battles.

Ive not personally played High Elves (Phil has) but played against them a bunch of times: I dont think theres a right and wrong answer tbh just personal preference
As I said ive only been on the receiving end so my opinion is mostly based off what units ive found problematic from the opponents side (spearmen here not being one that can just be written off even)

HE Spearmen are absolute garbage. They wont do any damage and they die to a stiff breeze, but they still cost a ton.
Once you actually play games with them you realise you just gave points to the opponent.
Archers at least can do some damage before they die.
